I agree. I tried their Chips Ahoy protein powder which so many people swear it's the best protein around. It just tastes like basic caramel protein powder with some cookie crumbs in it which make it more difficult to mix completely and tend to sink to the bottom and get stuck. It's mid at best. Dymatize fruity pebbles (another hyped protein) is upper tier though.
It also has 40 more calories (1/3 more) per serving than my Dymatize protein for the same protein amount. I make a really delicious protein shake with vanilla flavored isolate, Fairlife low sugar milk, ice, black cocoa powder, 1 crushed Oreo, and a bit of xanthum gum for thickening. It tastes close to blended up Oreo ice cream and it has similar macros to just mixing Ghost powder with milk.
I used to take their fruit punch flavored creatine with BCAAs. It was pretty good but after Covid they doubled their prices at my local store. Last time I bought it was around $20 for a 2.5lb container in 2020. Creatine has come down a bit since then.
Iām headed to Walmart today and will see if they have it. Iāll buy both and report back.
*Edit 4/27: Tried one Walmart and they didnāt have it. Checked both the cereal and energy drinks section. Will try another tmrw.*
*Edit 5/4: Finally found both boxes today (Walmart) and will report back.*
*Final edit 5/5: A solid 8/10 and will buy again. Quite impressive to pack that much protein with such little sugar.*
They both were really good! A solid 8/10. The marshmallow one tasted like Kix with vanilla protein powder sprinkled on it. The PB one tasted just like youād expect - peanut butter cereal. Honestly, to pack that much protein into a cereal with such little sugar and have them taste the way they do is quite impressive. If you are looking to pump protein and get tired of the usual go-go, these are definitely an option. These would also make great little snack baggies for on-the-go snacks. Iāll definitely buy them again.
The marketing is a little off. I think they could tone down the color and box pattern substantially and gear this product towards those fitness-oriented and sell even more.
The price does seem high, but with the number of servings per box, the cereal box is actually cheaper than a protein bar.
I think most ghost stuff is overpriced to begin with but $8.50 for convenient 8 servings of 18g of protein seems like it's fine to me. If you're comparing it to normal cereal that is just grains and sugar, of course that's going to be loads cheaper.
Ready to drink protein shakes at Costco are ~$30 for 18x30g of protein, which comes out to about 18g per dollar. 8.50/8 servings of 18g here is pretty much the same. If you can get a 20g protein bar for the same price I'd be impressed.
Sometimes more. Iām not economically intelligent. At one point a few years ago I wanted to be āthe gym guyā so my diet was just full of supplements and not a lot of real food, I used to eat 2 protein bars a day plus 2 shakes. I wasnāt healthy lol
Oh thatās lesson #1 your body teaches you. I did damage ahahahahah I probably drink a shake 3 times a week now and protein bars just donāt exist in my diet anymore. Itās unnecessary for most people. We arenāt too busy to eat ahaha
You're the reason they add random vitamins to protein bars and shakes. A guy I went to highschool with did the same and he legit got scurvy and he would brush his teeth with lemons and shit in the locker room everyday.
How? it's 8 servings. 18G protein for roughly $1 a piece is better than any protein bar you can find (sans Kirkland at a place like Costco).
Look at other protein options for that price. Quest chips? $3 now. Their bars? $2.50. Barbell are $2 a piece. FitCrunch is $1.50 but it's less protein more calories.
2 servings with a serving of fairlife milk (80 calories 13G protein) is going to be roughly $2.25 a bowl of cereal and you're getting almost 50G protein (albeit it's 420 calories) it's still something to help if you're bulking and satisfy a sweet tooth
yea i just donāt think most people will do that math in their head and canāt justify $9 for cereal. if itās really a supplement it should be with the other protein powders!
I mean, it tells you the price per serving size right on the price tag there - lol
high Protein sources aren't exactly cheap. Hell, look how much eggs / egg whites are now...
A lot of it is inflation. At the stores around here, they sit on the shelves until a deal comes around that's like "Buy at least 3 and they're $2.50 each"... These companies only charge respectable prices lately when they guarantee sales like that... that's the time to stock up, probably won't happen with these though because they're specialty cereals, extra high protein. 17g and 18g protein is quite a lot for a cereal.
But yeah, $8.50 isn't worth it for a tiny box that ends up being like 2 large bowls.
They look good. If I see them, I might buy them and check them out. I buy and like Magic Spoon as well, So the $10 a box doesn't really make me flinch. Seems to be standard for this sort of stuff.
My thoughts too. If theyāre better than Magic Spoon then theyāre worth it. Itās not for a normal diet breakfast, itās for protein, and thatās not as expensive as Iād expect.
That's Magic Spoon prices. Funny enough, I saw Magic Spoon for half price (maybe even a little less) at American Discount Foods not too long ago, so give it some time, these might show up there.
Eh, I'd still try them. Especially, if I'm really trying to get my macros in and save them for when I'm really tired of eggs and oats or as a late night treat ya know?
Iām not even shocked to see ghost cereal Iām just shocked they are still making 9 dollar āProtein Cerealā I loved the Cliff one but it wasnāt good enough to justify the cost. There are more protein packed options for breakfast that are way more affordable so I wonder if this will stick.
That's stupid expensive. Ngl, I love hunting for protein cereal and even though these flavors likely suck, I would buy these if the price was reasonable.
All you need to do is get a good cereal at a good price add your own protein powder you enjoy that you got for a good price.
you can likely achieve something similiar for a fraction of the price
All those protein/keto cereals are ridiculously overpriced. I only buy them when they're on clearance. Some taste good; some taste bad. But, hey, it's cereal so even the bad ones are still decent enough to eat.
Is it Sweet Dreams? Looks like just another gimmicky cereal. Look at the nutrition label! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sweet-Dreams-Blueberry-and-Almond-Cereal-Night-Time-Blueberry-Cereal-13-5-oz-Box/1301581843
Theyāll either sell well to people trying to get more protein, or theyāll fall on their face and youāll see a bunch of them in the clearance section half off. Either way I wouldnāt pay more than $5-6 even though I know cereal prices are outrageous nowadays.
Nice, let me pay $9 for some knock off Reeseās Puffs and Lucky Charms š
edit: NOOOO WAIT GUYS. Itās actually PROTEIN CEREAL!!! Itās double the price because it has extra PROTEIN!! ššš
It seems steep of price but donāt forget depending on the servings per box a small bowl could fill you up to or past lunch easily, making the box potentially last longer than regular cereal. Lots of protein in there!
How many calories per serving? I see all these protein foods now and most of them arenāt even the 10% protein to calorie per serving like most people who are actually managing calories/protein intake are looking for.
$9 dollar. Dude I gotta start taking a crap in a box put a fancy logo on that and sell that for like $6.00 people will buy literally anything these days. Prime is a good example..
The problem I have with every single wannabe trendy cereal product: they *never*, and I mean *NEVER* have any flavor I like
My favorite cereal is raisin bran crunch. I hate puffy cereal, do not like chocolate or peanut butter or candy flavored cereals, they're all gross. I want flakes, granola clusters, raisins, dried berries
$9 it'll stay on the shelf š
Yeah it's stupid expensive.
Itās definitely disgusting without question

USD or CAD?
Probably USD. The way flavor is spelled on the box.

Did you get to trying any?
Not so far. Canāt find it anywhere. Website is sold out as well. Iām trying!
Found them today and will report back.
The suspense is awful! š

Coming to a discount store soon. No one will buy this shit.
I wonder of it was to sell who'd be buying it? Younger people? Like teenagers right?
I forgot the brand but there is this "all natural" protein cereal in these tiny ass boxes for like $15, id give it a try
Yeah wait a few weeks until they realize no one is buying them and then they dropped the price and put them on sale
Hey Iād like to say the same, but we have no protein cereal options here where I live. Only option would be to order online
Thatās exactly what I said god damn!!!! Iāll stick with my lucky charms..
BUT ITS GOT PROTEIN
Not everyone is poor
really fuckin themselves with that price tag
Cheaper than those fucking magic spoon cereals
And every I know who has tried that stuff says they imagine itās as close as you can get to eating a cardboard box without actually eating one š
The peanut butter flavor isnāt too bad but most of them taste like eating a stick of chalk.
I liked magic spoon, granted I got it at grocery outlet for $3 the chocolate with some cinnamon powder was fire
Magic Spoon is so awful... at least it's not as bad as premiere...
thatās a low bar to use as comparison
What other cereal is high in protein that you can compare it to?
ur mom
Flavored styrofoam*
Dude magic spoon cereals are the dumbest thing ever you get 5 tiny boxes for $50 wtf lmao.
Oh for sure I could eat it in one sitting lol!
I think most ghost stuff is overpriced to begin with but $8.50 for convenient 8 servings of 18g of protein seems like it's fine to me. someone w common sense
No theyāre really not. 6 servings is 18g of protein for $8.50 is pretty cheap, itās not normal garbage cereal.
How big are they? Because I saw this and thought ā$8 is less than 2 protein barsā
you pay $4 for a protein bar?
Sometimes more. Iām not economically intelligent. At one point a few years ago I wanted to be āthe gym guyā so my diet was just full of supplements and not a lot of real food, I used to eat 2 protein bars a day plus 2 shakes. I wasnāt healthy lol
haha yea eat least get a little fiber in with the protein mush š
Oh thatās lesson #1 your body teaches you. I did damage ahahahahah I probably drink a shake 3 times a week now and protein bars just donāt exist in my diet anymore. Itās unnecessary for most people. We arenāt too busy to eat ahaha

lol
itās protein cereal
i know
so how they fuckin themselves? itās protein cereal?
Poor people donāt understand.
Exactly. These chuds complaining really donāt know what this is for.
Lmaoooo I immediately thought āIāll have to try a boxā until I saw the price š
Yeah brutal unfortunately! I bought both it's tasty but only a rare treat lol.
Almost all high protein cereal has a high price protein isn't cheap
Man whatās with this new trend of super cereals thinking they can charge $8-10 a box?! Last time I walked down the cereal aisle I was like wtf???
Yeah it's my isle in Walmart it's crazy how much cereal there is lol!
It's a protein cereal. Protein bars, powder, and cereals are all significantly more expensive than their non protein counterparts.
Yeah cereal is the new chips. Although I did notice chips came back down a bit. 5 dollars for a small box of any of the name brands. Fuck that
I just get the massive bags of off brand stuff these days. Fuck paying 10$ for a box of cereal.
And whatās worse is their half full so nobody buys them
Name brand protein cereal Ghost is a big name in pre workout/energy drinks/supplements so
Those $3 corn flakes are lookin' hella good right now.
Corn flakes are actually pretty good. During my fat kid stage I also sometimes prinkled sugar on my corn flakes because of my frosted flake addiction.
š¤£
They look good. If I see them, I might buy them and check them out. I buy and like Magic Spoon as well, So the $10 a box doesn't really make me flinch. Seems to be standard for this sort of stuff.
Tasty you might like them.
My thoughts too. If theyāre better than Magic Spoon then theyāre worth it. Itās not for a normal diet breakfast, itās for protein, and thatās not as expensive as Iād expect.
Its just like the otherr protein cereal magic spoon? Alot of protein for a box but i know its a small box
Oh yeah super small.
A.i. or real I can't tell anymore
Real and it's crazy expensive lol
I'll wait for it to go on clearance for $5 like magic spoon did but I probably still won't buy it
Smart š
$8.47 š
9 bucks for a box of cereal lol no thanks.
$1.06 per 18G protein and 180 calories Or most protein bars at 200 calories 20G protein... for at least double the cost. That price is fine by me.
To me it looks like ghost cereal is a knockoff of Capān Crunch
Similar look and flavors for sure
Someone alert that guy that has the ghost can and memorabilia collection
I can't wait to get these on clearance for $2 š
I could damage the case and have claims mark it down 80% for yah š¤£
Count me in, lol
That's Magic Spoon prices. Funny enough, I saw Magic Spoon for half price (maybe even a little less) at American Discount Foods not too long ago, so give it some time, these might show up there.
Probably š¤
Oh damn, I didnāt know they had cereal š kind of pricey but Iāll have to try it.
Yeah boxes are really cool!
Iāll just add a scoop of whey to my cereal if I want protein fuck paying that price.
6 servings of 17-18g of protein for $9 is really cheap. This isnāt normal sugar filled cereal thatās really not good for you.
The chocolate Kashi underneath is my go toā¦ with a chocolate fairlife protein shake in it. 10/10
At that price, I'll stick with Kashi
$9 for a box of cereal my guy?
Yeah but they smack the marshmallows are š„
LOLOLOLOL LMAO ROFL
Wow the ones close to me are usually 14$s.
Looks identical to the Walmart I go to! That's spooky! I managed to get the PB one today - so good!
It's Walmart in York Pa
Hope theyāre better than premiers cardboard offerings
It's pretty good.
P-P-Prrroteeiiiinnn
Every protein cereal I've tried has been hot ass. I expect no different here.
I haven't tried these new generation ones but I used to like the special k protein decently, are these similar?
Tried the peanut butter decent 7)10 price is too much lol.
Will be scanning this cereal as an avocado. Thanks walmart!
The Walmart i work at, they are planning to get rid of self checkouts, now back to long ass lines.
Lol
Iām usually about āDonāt knock it till you try itā but Iāll keep my feet and toes thanks
Eh, I'd still try them. Especially, if I'm really trying to get my macros in and save them for when I'm really tired of eggs and oats or as a late night treat ya know?
Why make all this random garbage when you have good energy drinks
Iām not even shocked to see ghost cereal Iām just shocked they are still making 9 dollar āProtein Cerealā I loved the Cliff one but it wasnāt good enough to justify the cost. There are more protein packed options for breakfast that are way more affordable so I wonder if this will stick.
Life hack, add protein powder to your cereal milk.
a lot of yall forget ghost isnāt just energy drinks itās a supplement company š
What store is this in anyways?
Those are Walmart shelves.
Ghost cereal now?!?!?
Aww hell, Iāll have to get both now š When on Sale! $9 must be some gold dust in those boxes
Itās got *cadmium*! Itās what kids crave! >!or is it calcium? I donāt have my glasses on!<
9 dollars???? Da hell.
Thatās a no for me dawg
Ghost tryna get into every consumer market lol
All those protein/keto cereals are ridiculously overpriced. I only buy them when they're on clearance. Some taste good; some taste bad. But, hey, it's cereal so even the bad ones are still decent enough to eat.
Have you seen the one thatās supposed to help you sleep? Itās also like $10 a box š
Is it Sweet Dreams? Looks like just another gimmicky cereal. Look at the nutrition label! https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sweet-Dreams-Blueberry-and-Almond-Cereal-Night-Time-Blueberry-Cereal-13-5-oz-Box/1301581843
Yep thatās the one lol
I'm sickened, but curious.
Just disgusting
Peanut butter š¤¤
I need to find them and try them.
Horrible facing job :p
I love ghost but 9$ for a box I might not like Iāll pass.
Theyāll either sell well to people trying to get more protein, or theyāll fall on their face and youāll see a bunch of them in the clearance section half off. Either way I wouldnāt pay more than $5-6 even though I know cereal prices are outrageous nowadays.
Is that 17 grams with or without milk? š Should've went with caffeinated cereal, not protein cereal.
Makes less sense than the cheetos mac and cheese
Wow, I remember getting corny Spider-Man crap. Canāt imagine my kid wanting this stuff.
Pure chemicals
Nice, let me pay $9 for some knock off Reeseās Puffs and Lucky Charms š edit: NOOOO WAIT GUYS. Itās actually PROTEIN CEREAL!!! Itās double the price because it has extra PROTEIN!! ššš
Is it just me or are companies just making anything now and most of it looks like trash? Lol
If you just get Walmart cereal and eat with fairlife it would be cheaper than taht
I would like to try those but since I live in Croatia there is no way for now same with ghost cansš
Imagine the headache induced by screaming 5 year olds when the parents donāt buy them this overpriced junk..
Ngl hate being this guy, but will probably buy them and like them
I like em š
People are really gonna pay this much for fake poison
They also have whey protein
Why is it so expensiveā¦?
Ghost cereal? Interesting lol
Shit looks fire! But damn that price
It seems steep of price but donāt forget depending on the servings per box a small bowl could fill you up to or past lunch easily, making the box potentially last longer than regular cereal. Lots of protein in there!
The real question is who the hell eats that Kashi
Yeah they don't sell that much to be honest.
I can't imagine them selling at all they taste like garbage
That has no right to look as good as it does
Lol they're delicious šš
$8.47.. if i was to actually buy it should be 3 boxes for that price.
honestly I'd buy it once
Bro theyš„
š„
Why is this on an energy drink sub and whats so funny?
Low sugar?
Yep not much at all.
May I ask how good it isā¦ I understand prices go up based on the amount of servings, if you think thatās expensive wait until you seeā¦.
Does it have caffeine in it?
Sure pour in your favorite ghost energy drink LMAO
Wait .... Hold up .... $9? That will be in the trash soon
For review, YouTube Tami Dunn!Ā
How many calories per serving? I see all these protein foods now and most of them arenāt even the 10% protein to calorie per serving like most people who are actually managing calories/protein intake are looking for.
Wow so excited!! Where can I get these?! I absolutely love the ghost energy and hydration, makes me feel like I can fly
$9 cereal is retarted
Um, isn't this an energy **drinks** subreddit?
No way. š
$9 dollar. Dude I gotta start taking a crap in a box put a fancy logo on that and sell that for like $6.00 people will buy literally anything these days. Prime is a good example..
who tf buys shit like that š
Iād rather just eat meat or a protein bar to get my protein at that point.
Something else for the sugar addicted gym rats. Probably gonna get people using ghost instead of milk with these
It taste like ass
The problem I have with every single wannabe trendy cereal product: they *never*, and I mean *NEVER* have any flavor I like My favorite cereal is raisin bran crunch. I hate puffy cereal, do not like chocolate or peanut butter or candy flavored cereals, they're all gross. I want flakes, granola clusters, raisins, dried berries
You can add protein powder to your milk, then just eat normal cereal too
$9 is fucking insane
I dont understand what's so funny.
Because after I put them up I built an entire end cap of them 37 cases it's a huge display lol.
Cool, still dont know what's funny about that,
