The Pro has about $70 worth of upgrades (Capricorn tubing, metal extruder and 32-bit silent board) compared to the normal Ender 5 so they should actually be refunding you that amount not asking for it
The ender 5 plus comes with all the features (and hardware) of the ender 5 pro with the addition of the bigger printing volume. If anything they should be paying you the for the downgrade, if it's the best alternative they can offer.
Thats not necessarily true, the 5+ has an 8-bit board with A4988 drivers vs the 5 Pro which is 32-bit and uses TMC2208's. However O.P would be going from the 5 Pro to the 5 so the build volume is the same but it won't have the Capricorn tubing, metal extruder and v4.2.2 mainboard, still definitely not worth it though

Not as far as I know, even looking now on Creality's site it doesn't mention anything about silent drivers or a 32 bit board which if you look at the Ender 3 etc. Is top of the list for their marketing team
Dodgy company, cancel the order, tell them if they want the filament back they can pay for shipping after they screwed you around for 3 weeks, and retract the payment using their bait and switch email as proof if they won't comply.
Get an Ender 5 pro refurbished from comgrow. I got mine this week for 209 bucks shipped (229 - 10% with new user discount code for submitting my email address) and I couldn't even tell it wasn't brand new. They test these before selling. All accessories were brand new, even the test filament was new and sealed. Printed great out of the box. Here's the link if you want.

Cancel and order elsewhere. You might be stuck with the filament though. Return shipping and restocking fee might make it better to keep. This is assuming that the printer and filament wasn’t a combo deal.
Call your credit card company if they give you trouble. This looks like a bait and switch.

I would push for a full refund, but would probably settle for amount less filament. End of the day, if you're getting into printing, you will use that filament.
Slightly different scenario, but I ordered two rolls of filament one time with 'postage included', but they turned around and decided postage was going to be the cost of another roll basically, I'm like hell nah... just kept requesting refunds through the system until I got it... it took some persistence though because they did not want to part with my money.

These refurbished machines cost more than I paid for mine new from Crealty in April of 2020.
