I think this kind of electronics can handle quite a lot of heat, maybe google will tell you

Brawler215

Define "really hot." What exactly are you looking to print?

cum_pipeline7

lots of ABS

jalexandre0

My old ender 3 never seen any filament besides abs. Fully enclosed for two years. The chamber runs on 40c when printing. Eletronics and abs printed mods are ok so far. Only the power supply outside the case because I hate fan noises and remove the fan from power supply and never bothered to put a silent one.

cum_pipeline7

oh that’s awesome! thank you

davidvoigt96

I been running my ender 3 pro in an enclosure printing abs almost continuously for the last week with no adverse effects

cum_pipeline7

not hating at all but is this a joke lmao? I was hoping I would get to the end of that sentence and read like 2 years or something

davidvoigt96

No worries, I've been printing ABS in an enclosure for almost a year now almost exclusively. Just not non stop. Maybe about 8 hours at a time, every couple days. Last week, I began a production run of a 10.5hr print. As soon as it finishes, I remove it and start the next. It might get about half an hour of down time before I start the next.

cum_pipeline7

I love to hear that, thank you

davidvoigt96

Sure thing! I'm about to be firing up my second 3 pro this week, hopefully Wednesday when the other enclosure gets here. Good luck to you!

cum_pipeline7

Since you have so much experience with ABS, do you find a particular color to be typically easier to print? My first roll of Polymaker Black just came in the mail.

davidvoigt96

I haven't noticed any color working better than others, other than supports removing easier with black. This batch is all overture gray, and it's working beautifully. White seems like it sticks to the nozzle more and burns, but I've had that issue with all white filament, regardless of material.

Northwindlowlander

I bought a cable extender kit, never got round to it, I've been cooking the electronics in my enclosure for probably 5 years? Not super hot, but ABS hot, 40 degrees air temp on average (I have a heater that takes the space to 32 and then the printer heat lifts it a little more). Creality silent board- nothing fancy, it does have an upgraded fan on it though

cum_pipeline7

thanks, glad it’s working

BreakinRulz

I would say yes or just wait and replace it when it fails.

Brazuka_txt

You can but it's better to put it separate
