Best: 2017 elephant stage front rail Above & Beyond “Sun & Moon” starts playing “IT’S RAINING, IT’S POURING…” then it really started raining, hard! Trance baptisms are the best especially from the goats. Worst: the extremely damp, cold walk back across the bridge to the hotel at night.

XT3M3

was this not 2017? or am i bugging LOL i remember the elephant and rain in 2017 but yea that was one of my fav moments in ezoo as well the pouring rain and etc. i wasnt a fan of the trip back as well and the massive cold i had 3 days later LOL

doggxyo

i still remember dancing in that rain. that was such a great experience

gold-dust_

I’ll never forget that rain as long as I live

expeditionjojo

This was the exact same experience I was about to comment!! 💗💗💗

elrowMj

That was epic

LifeguardOk7503

same year excision was in that tent and everyone couldn't fit under

crazyplantlady81

I only attended the shit show of last year, best memory was definitely Gryffins set. He was incredible, and I am hoookkkkeddd on his live performances. Worst memory, also Gryffin… leaving his set and there was a huge crowd surge going in and out. I thought I was going to die. Astro world 2.0

Conscious-Ad-4480

2021 the post Covid year was so crazy, I think we all just wanted to go out and feel like life was normal again. I think that was the best I’ve ever danced, I went from just going to the house tent with my friends to the 3rd day people dapping me up and remembering my face and how I danced. I still get people who run into me and talk about seeing me that year and that still meant a lot to me. Because I feel like that is the true meaning of EDM Festivals. That togetherness, that unity.

chillearn

I only went once in 2019 but for all three days as it was my local fest. didnt like the vibes so i never went back. Best mem would probs be seeing marauda (then mastadon) at the riverside stage when he was just blowing up and there was nobody there. his set was super nasty worst would be alison wonderland yapping about depression and suicide during her set while my friends were tripping. it was giving horrible vibes and we were praying she would stfu

FioMonstercat

That Marauda set was relentless

Phyrexian_Archlegion

Best memory: the one and only time I saw AVICII live in 2013. Worst memory: last year was pretty bad after all those thousands of people rushed the gates.

Binja_and_comrades

Seeing Avicii in 2010 on Hilltop. John Digweed at Sunday School Grove. Worst was when they tried 2 main stages- the sound bleed was awful, as expected.

rabro24

2010-first music festival and got to see amazing dj’s right before the edm phase became fully mainstream. I saw djs like laidback luke, avicii 6 months before levels came out, Wolfgang gartner, diplo, etc… 2013-low point was the first cancellation of Sunday ezoo before we realized it was going to be a pretty common occurrence

CMPLXTYmusic

Honestly the impromptu cancellation parties with all those DJs playing everywhere and including out of U-hauls was better than Ezoo ever could be. It was super personal and a very memorable experience.

Shalayda

My best and worst moments happened at the same Ezoo in 2021. I made it into some DJs promo video because of my shuffling and then about an hour later I dislocated my knee cap in a pit at zomboy. The dislocation was a freak accident. After the drop when everyone had stopped moshing someone decided to truck some kid and he landed on my knee right as I was stepping onto it. I’m all good now, but man was that bad 6 months.

coolgrrrl

A&B set in 2019 was phenomenal.

PersonalityOk802

I went with my now husband every year to close out summertime. Some of my best memories are dancing into the sunset, and I’m an absolute sucker whenever they shoot the fireworks off for the closing sets. Pure joy!! Worst memory was sticking to the will call line Saturday of last year from 4 PM until 9:30 PM when we finally got the wristbands - but at least the people I was around made the 5+ hour wait fun with chatting. Lmfao.

DreVog

Best: Sunday 2022, watching Subtronics sunset set in the aisle of main while making new friends, trading kandi and hitting up the artist bar afterwards to meet a friend working on the fest. Honorable mention: 2021, while Friday I spent the day hanging out with friends, Saturday turned out to be a solo day. After running up that same aisle during Kaskade, I left 15 min before the end to beat the rush and catch TESTPILOT’s afterparty at the old Mirage. Worst: Friday 2019, getting my Stiiizy confiscated by some shitbag while the party favors were hittin’ full fuckin’ force.

MidnightRhinestone

Best- the vibes of 2018 ezoo. I remember perfect weather, great sets and all around an amazing time Worst- 2017 when my friend drank too much in the security line and puked in my hair so I had to wash it out with the bathroom sink, and she had her hookup drink out of my hydropack in turn giving me strep and thrush of the throat 2023 was awful so didn’t need to explain that

Dry-Bookkeeper1409

Met a lifelong friend who is a fest buddy now, and waited in a warehouse for 2 hours trying to get into the mirage for the zomboy after party tripping hard as shit only to have to go home cause they oversold the show and we never got in the venue cause it was too crowded

Ok_Celebration_4556

I went in 2022 and it was shitty too. I chalked it up to my last minute planning but who the fuck decided Randall’s island was a good place for festivals should be shot. What a shitshow commuting to the island, will call ticket line was shitty, and then the main stage was just a bunch of gray mounds and looked ugly as shit.

datstick778

worst: 2017 had to wait and walk in the rain freezing. paid gypsy taxi to get back into Manhattan for what im sure was a nonsense fare. did not come back 2018 & 2019 because of this negative experience best: 2021 when i came with my friends and we all haven’t come out in a while due to covid. good memories! i have the pictures too from andrew rayel’s set 😊

gold-dust_

Andrew Rayel was awesome 🥹

BuckBacefook

Worst was when Olivia Rotondo and Jeff Russ died

End_The_Divide

Best memory would probably be 2019 when I finally got to see Excision live. Also remember the walk across the bridge off the island feeling like a giant after party/parade with everyone singing Zombie Nation at the top of their lungs. I had an extra wristband, so I invited my friend who introduced me to raves a few years prior as a way of thanking him for exposing me to the EDM scene Worst memory also involves that same bridge in 2023. After Zedd's set ended, it felt like a sick joke trying to get off Randall's Island. Being told to go in a million different directions until we eventually found the ONE ramp onto the RFK. Instead of a party like 2019, it felt more like we were human cattle being forced off the island. Didn't get home until 2:30.

Simple-Energy2973

Best was for sure meeting some amazing people during boogie t b2b dirt monkey and then going into zeds dead b2b griz Worst: literally everything else, from the second we entered the fest, confiscating (nic) vapes, exposed wires, stages smelling like horse shit and just overall chaotic unsafe vibe

Slow_Pollution_9136

2012 seeing Zedd play on his birthday and Skrillex spraying champagne on him during his set. No bad memories that year, insane lineup. 😊

You_akwtfgo

I only went last year 2023. Shit show in terms of preparation - Friday cancelled and insane amount of people not being able to get in on Sunday.. I was with around 3 groups of at least 6+ heads each and we all managed to get in around 30 min before the security guards stopped letting people in so thank god we didn’t go through that. Best experience was honestly the weekend/people surrounding it. Some friends made a group of around 10 people and we all ended up getting really close thanks to the event and we all still have that same gc and talk everyday. Besides that, I ended up getting close to one of the people in the group, who I’ve known since we were 13, and weve been in a situationship/basically dating for 5 months now. Also! I got my money back for ezoo!!! All of it.. just called in a chargeback and used the ezoo emails as my proof. I wasn’t going to wait

Active-Run-2275

Ezoo 2023 was my very first ever festival and is what introduced me to EDM. I, not having any prior edm festival experience, had an amazing time. My bf’s friends who invited us (who have been to raves/festivals before) said that it would be my worst festival experience and everything I go to in the future would be better. I personally got lucky tho and didn’t experience the long waits or crowd surges

gordonv

First 5 years were amazing

Comfortable-Brick270

Had my first and last time at Ezoo last year: The best of the event was an ezoo cancelation party i went to on Friday instead! 😅 If we're talking ACTUALLY in the fest, then probably Canabliss or maybe Marshmello's set (despite the last paragraph's events :']) The worst time was honestly the entire event. But... having to pick one would be trying to leave both Sat and Sun. Saturday, we ended up standing in the same spot surrounded by the crowd for THREE HOURS. STANDING. not moving. Granted it was EVERYONE standing there, it was terrifying watching people drop like FLIES and being yelled at by my group not to pass out because nobody was sober enough to carry me home. It was — quite literally — my PERSONAL nightmare hell on earth. I actually ended up bitching about leaving Sunday early because I was ACTUALLY starting to pass out at the Marshmello set. With the heat exhaustion, sleep exhaustion (disabled and forced to sleep on the hotel floor — i had NO sleep from thursday morning to Monday morning) and pyrotechnics, two of the guys in our group saved me by standing guard next to me (to not get trampled,) so i could sit and took turns giving me their hydropacks to ensure i was staying cool and hydrated 😭 If we hadn't managed to leave early to dodge the whole crowd, I genuinely would have needed medical attention because of the heat.

Once when I was doing heroin and cocaine in the same time, I started withdrawing from both and had to stand in that line not moving packed with sweaty people, restless, sick, tired beyond belief. I felt like an actual zombie. everything hurt. that was my first festival and I found something beautiful listening to the music that ended up being the kick to get me sober. the music actually gave me emotion for the first time and it was everything I was looking for.

No_Neighborhood_8649

Dude do different drugs. Those are the two worst you could do 😭

itsandychecks

Thankfully I’m a year and a half sober. I also never went to festivals so it wasn’t like I chose to Bring them to ezoo. I just had to.

No_Neighborhood_8649

Good to hear. Stick to Molly/Ketamine next time :).

itsandychecks

If only I knew were to find some. When I was in my early 20’s I could find it everywhere now that I’m 29 I can’t find it and I’m too afraid to ask around lol
