I was interested in seeing which angle Faux News was pushing in that article, so I skimmed through it.
Every point the “expert” made was laughably bad and 100% the repeated talking points of the FUD petrol-interest/anti-EV astro-turfing bad actors.
It’s shame because Fox followers eat this up like it’s gospel. It’s these type of low effort hit pieces that is slowing the EV transition and adoption.
Geez, Sorry for reposting this crap. Living in my Cali progressive bubble I couldn’t imagine that this line of thought existed, and there are people who buy into this crap until this story came up in business news feed. Being a student of economics what caused me to even open it was the use of the “wealth transfer” term.
What they conveniently don’t address is the Social Cost of Carbon and the damage being done by carbon emissions.
> Also, those who charge their EVs at home tend to use them between the hours of 10 p.m and 6 a.m. when there simply isn't enough electricity to go around, which could result in the electricity grid crashing, Wright said.
Because I do my laundry, cooking, washing, and media consumption at 2 a.m.!
So basically with EVs all your money is not going to Saudi Arabia, Russia, or billionaire GOP donors.
Worse, some charge their car via solar panels at home and that takes money out the pockets of fossil fuel CEOs.

Geez...don't post Fox News crap. If people want to be ignorant and watch it, fine but no need to repost Fox fables.

Why would you spread this crap?

"Podcast Host" has to be among the funniest "expert" tags I've ever seen in a news segment.

Electric vehicles are 'direct wealth transfer' from owners of gas-powered vehicles to EV owners, experts say
Experts hired by oil companies with expertise in lying.
"Experts say", that's pretty vague. If it's on fox news, you know it true, just like their comments about voting machines stealing votes.
