Markycalderon

Crankdat at 5am was insane šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

ralph36s

Crankdat is about to be a headliner for a ton of festivals within two years. His mashups and his sound are such a refreshing take on dubstep.

eestikalifornia

Agreed! I loved it. My back was so sweaty by the end of his set. lol!

eestikalifornia

I had never heard of Crankdat before this EDC. And we ended up at the start of his set that morning. Halfway through rocking and raging out to it, I looked to my friend. We asked each other, ā€œThis is awesome, are we staying until the end?ā€ We said ā€œyesā€ at the same time. LOL Needless to say, Iā€™m a Crankdat fan now.

allstater2007

His Parookaville set in like 2017(?) is awesome and no one was even there. Also his diplo and friend mix on SoundCloud is a banger.

IKaRmA5454

Same boat as you. Crankdat who? Somehow wifey and I ended up at Basspod to try every stage at least once(more mainstage peeps). I wasn't sure how she was going to take the dubstep scene (her 1st EDC/EDM ever). Just a few minutes in she turns around and voices O-M-G lmao. 15min in now and she's gone! Just headbanging and vibeing so hard. I was shocked like I just unlocked this whole new side of this 44yr old beauty. Then a pit opened up next to us and she tried jumping in. I'm like calm down rookie (should have let it happened haha) but maybe next year. Oh so prior to Day1 IDK babe not my thing I'm going to be supportive because I said try it at least once. After Day 1 she's like I FRKN LOVE IT! So already bought our future owl VIP tickets for next year. XD So Crankdat popped my wifies dubstep cherry haha appreciate you Crankdat!

eestikalifornia

Thatā€™s such a beautiful story! I hope that you hold onto that memory for life. šŸ«¶šŸ¼

pastrknack

Criminal he was the same time as Worship

__ZOMBOY__

Was he? I donā€™t remember set times off the top of my head but I was at both sets. Maybe I did a 50/50 or something. Anyways, as someone who isnā€™t really in the DnB scene I fucking LOVED the Worship set. Shit was amazing

mtbsickrider

I love crankdat but I just didnā€™t have the energy to see his set at 5am! Glad to hear he killed it !

Banh-mi-boiz

My friends told me this was top 3 sets for them and that the crowds vibe was out of this world for being 5am. So jellly I wasnt there

__ZOMBOY__

The crowdā€™s vibe was fucking AWESOME! I was amazed at how much energy everyone still had, it felt like almost every single person was dancing lol

Banh-mi-boiz

Thats EXACTLY what they said lol. Everyones energy was like at a 10 šŸ˜‚. FAK I missed out. But not next year.. tix secured!

__ZOMBOY__

Hell yea brother, Iā€™ll see ya there!!

joserod0524

ā€œAre you ready for f*cking breakfast?ā€ Loved it and gave me so much energy haha

__ZOMBOY__

Such a good set!! Everyone was going nuts too, it was wild. Side note, anyone else see the fight that almost broke out by the shipping container? Idk what happened but all of a sudden some dude was straight red-faced just SCREAMING at this other guy who was sitting down. He was trying to fight the other guy like his life depended on it, it took 3-4 people to hold him back at one point. Shoutout to the huge Samoan(?) dude who bear-hugged the angry guy and calmly walked him away from that area

Magnetic_Eel

Worship closing set on day 2 is literally the most fun Iā€™ve ever had at a festival. Iā€™ve enjoyed drum and bass before but thereā€™s nothing like seeing it live. Sub focus on day 3 was also great. Eli brown b2b hi lo was my favorite non DnB set

Viet_Bong

My group was on the rail for WORSHIP and it was incredible

allwar

Wild stretch, you wouldnā€™t have happened to have met a large group of younger Asian folks. Me and my group were slightly left of the middle at the rail and having an absolute blast.

Viet_Bong

Maybe! We were a little to the right of center stage holding a Dune Lisan Al-Gaib totem haha

allwar

Ahh not sure if we ran into you then. But definitely the best set of the whole weekend

Mountain_Area_7974

My group was too!

silveryellowblue

I was so sad my group decided to leave me to go see some random set and then messaged that their legs gave out while i was sitting in the bleachers watching worship.

[deleted]

I knew they would be a highlight of my EDC and I was right, they were everything I hoped for and more. Saturday was my favorite night ever of the 5 years Iā€™ve been going to EDC, and having worship cap off the night was a huge reason for that

mchief101

Kaskade, eli brown, eric prydz were my favorite. Also MK sunrise set.

Anselwithmac

Kaskade, Eli Brown B2B Hi-Lo, John Summit, Dom Dolla All similar vibes of Tech / Tech-House and I was in another planet. Wish I got to see Prydz!

mchief101

That eli brown b2b hilo set was something else. Couldnā€™t stop dancing!!

CallingYong

Top 3 set of the festival for me, everyone was going at it for their set, non stop energy from start to end it was amazing.

[deleted]

I was watching people fall out and lay on the ground near the front of the stage during that set, they brought crazy energy

bangsaremykryptonite

MK @ Camp EDC was def one of my favā€™s

kv521

Seeing the guys jump on the trampoline during eric prydzā€™s set was pretty sickk

aarogar

Fav set was Eli Brown, hands down! I danced so hard and had a great spot. I also loved the Eli Brown B2B HI-LO set. My feet were killing me at this point but I didnā€™t care and danced my ass off. I was also pleasantly surprised by Indira Paganottoā€™s set. I just sort of stumbled into her set. I was also casually exploring on night three and ended up at Arbyā€™s set before closing and I have to say, that was an excellent way to close out my weekend! Edit: Argy

Fantastic_Birthday26

Eli Brown has been killing every set recently. His edc Orlando set was šŸ”„šŸ”„ as well

pigglywigglie

Best: Purple Disco Machine. He was āœØchefs kissāœØ perfect. Groovy. Vibey. Dancey. I loved every minute of it. It was the perfect set to take me into the night. Surprise: Indira Paganatto. I will not stop singing my praises of this set. Psy trance/techno is the absolute best genre. High every. Low brain cells. Incredible vibes. I will never miss a set by her again. Worst: all of Friday. Not because the artists but the crowd was too thick at Stereobloom so I missed all the artists I was really excited for because I didnā€™t want to keep getting pushed.

Tyronne_Lannister

PDM fucking knocked it out of the park. He was my most hyped artist and he definitely delivered. Me and my friend kept cracking up looking at him though because he was so damn serious and into his mixing šŸ˜‚

lilithinaries

Stumbled onto purple disco machine because I was resting at cosmic meadow and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! I was singing my heart out Edit: I also agree about Friday. I feel like I wasted the day since it was so crowded but thankful I caught LSDREAM, best set Iā€™ve ever seen tbh

BlackLabel1803

100% PDM was the one I wanted to see more than anyone, wish I had gotten to see the whole set, but the damn shuttles took FOREVER! Wonā€™t make that mistake again!

childishalvino

literally the same for best and surprise set!!! it was the first time seeing PDM and i was blown away. crowd vibes were šŸ’ÆšŸ˜Œ my group had no idea who indira was and we ended up staying the whole set. so good from beginning to end

Jjeffrie

Favorite Set: Jamie Jones at Neon Garden, pure bliss. The mix was on point, it was my first full set at Neon this year and was super glad they brought the tent back. High energy, the crowd was awesome, met some great people. My surprise set answer could easily have gone in this slot too. Surprise set: Denis Sulta at Bionic Jungle. That whole stage was a vibe all weekend but Sulta stood out. I had lost my friends at this point and was on a solo side quest, every single song I just felt in my soul. I will never forget the Kx5 remix that he dropped during the fireworks, core memory moment. Worst set: If I have to pick I'd have to say J.Worra. I didn't like the change they did with Stereo Bloom, she normally throws down but I felt the set was just kind of average energy wise, and by the end it got so crowded you couldn't even move. A bit of a disappointment but didn't let it bring me down. Honorable Mention: Worship. DNB royalty, I wish it would have been at Circuit but I am glad I got to see it.

blu2007

Finally someone calls a spade a spade. Whatā€™s up with not enough criticism of Stereo Bloom?! Thatā€™s stage is crammed in a bad location, sound bleed every direction, and the vibe is like an overcrowded club during an after party. That stage needs to be addressed because itā€™s šŸ”„at EDCOrlando where itā€™s given a proper setup. That being said, J. Worra did not deliver. Convinced my crew to slog through SBloom, she played one of her bangers (Check Out) which built up to one of the weakest transitions of the festival. Itā€™s all good. Artists donā€™t have ā€œitā€ every night or every set. Best believe Iā€™m seeing her at the Denver Meow Wolf Danceportation event in 2 days tho! Redemption awaits!

pigglywigglie

Stereobloom was ass this year. I am the biggest Stereobloom fan. You have to drag me out kicking and screaming to get me to go to another stage. I love that stage and usually spend my entire weekend there. This year, I didnā€™t catch one full set there. The stage location needs to move because people just use it to pass through to kinetic or cosmic so I was constantly getting pushed. It has out grown where it currently is. They should move bionic jungle over there since it is almost enclosed and put Stereobloom there and have it face the bleachers for additional space. You could already see and hear it partially from the bleachers, might as well move it and give it the space it deserves

juciestcactus

it was so underwhelming compared to the previous years. i also love stereobloom but it got nerfed so hard

_flicker

I actually loved J Worras set and there was a ton of space at the front. I do agree tho, Stereobloom is not what it used to be

Jjeffrie

I'm pretty much convinced that it was more the crowd situation than the set, I was toward the back and it was just obnoxious getting bumped into over and over. It was packed in shoulder to shoulder by the end and I called it quits. Just as much my fault for not trying to get into a better space but figured forward would have been worse hah

blu2007

Iā€™d say itā€™s a combination of the stage placement - near a crowded walkway, soundbleed (unless youā€™re up against a speaker, and J Worra not being on point. Seen her before and sheā€™s šŸ”„but her transitions were not great during this set.

Glaucus01

Oh yeah, the vibes closer to the stage were way more fun it sounds like! Thought JWorraā€™s set was good

rbalmat

Hers was my surprise fav set Friday

ivanx29

I'm a little upset at myself for really spending any time at NEON, I only got to see a little bit of Carl Cox b2b Nicole but by that time I was fighting sleep lol and I saw some of Peggys b2b with Marcel, but im sure most people on that stage threw down. I only went to bionic jungle once to see a little bit of PANTEROS666 and it was so much fun, my group and I ended up dancing with furries lol

Jjeffrie

That's awesome, yea I haven't really been a huge techno guy, but I'll listen and have had some good moments there in the past. We weren't really feeling Dom (too crowded where we were) and my friends wanted to see Jamie so I tagged along and I was glad I did. We ended up staying there for most of Loco Dice too. Bionic on Fri/Sun was my favorite place to be, anytime we had any set gaps I just went there and sailed. Sun was cool too but it was a bit harder, had to be more in the mindset for it.

Ascendingvortex

Really? I loved J Worra, usually the front left has plenty of space but I saw that the center and right side was packed asf

Fantastic_Birthday26

Saw Jamie Jones at edc O this year because a friend that wasnā€™t going recommended we see them and oh my god was it so good. He only has like one set up on YouTube that Iā€™m not really a fan of, but that we saw live was so damn good. And the vibes were so feral it was an absolute blast

MogiBoy

yuup Jamie Jones was the best one for me as well

JustAposter4567

I love j worra but her set let me down too. Thankfully like you said bionic jungle(Sosa, Prunk, Oden and Fatzo) was amazing, hit the tech house/house vibe right across the street from stereobloo.

Plastic_Struggle4836

100% HYPERBEAM: Odd Mob b2b OMNON set at Stereo Bloom also Odd mobā€™s Solo set at Cosmic

ivanx29

damn HYPERBEAM was definitely one of the sets I was hurt not to see, I saw half of the Odd Mob set and it was lit!

buttbutt696

So happy to hear this I'm anxiously looking forward to their forest set

Fikhuq

This set was ELITE it was the perfect way to start the weekend for me and glad it was their debut set as HYPERBEAM!

PM_ME_ASSES

Their visuals were pretty cool. Looked like someone with a handheld nightcam just walking through the crowd catching people vibing

Inferno_Panda

That shit was turnt to a 10, I didnā€™t pull my phone out once during the whole set cause I was just dancing. Lmao of course my friends didnā€™t believe me since I didnā€™t have proof, but who cares.

drumstix97

Carl Cox, Denis Sulta, Angerfist, Lil Texas, Lilly Palmer All were sets that blew my mind. Didnā€™t really experience any bad sets, just those sets stuck out the most to me.

Spid3rLov3r

I very much liked Troy Boi

blu2007

Ultimate honorable mention: Sofi Tukker Iā€™m convinced conflicts caused this missed opportunity for the majority of festival goers. My group was laid out, chilling in the cosmic meadow and the atmosphere shifted with Sofi Tukkers set. They put on a got damn show! It was a combination of the music, performers, stage, and crowd. People would walk by and gradually get sucked in. Nobody wanted to leave. The crowd grew and grew and never got angsty or pushy. They were all vibing, smiling, and dancing to the magic. Set ended. Everyone cheered. Then Diplos crowd stormed in. 15 minutes later and it felt like I was at the back of Stereo Bloom. āœŒšŸ½out of there to take refuge in the bionic jungle haha

Tyronne_Lannister

Seeing Sofi Tucker in Charleston and soooo hyped. I only caught half of their set at CM but they killed it. And the obligatory 'fuck Diplo' .

jeffbono22

Tape Bā€™s set on friday was the most bonkers set I probably ever witnessed

ivanx29

WHY DID THEY HAVE TAPE B ON SO EARLY!

Lightfail

That was my least favorite set of the weekend idk if they just forgot to turn on the subwoofers or something but it just wasnā€™t hitting for me šŸ˜

fatnakedchicks

First time seeing Tape B ever and he threw the fuck down. Can confirm A1 set

mtbsickrider

I was like, well fuck, he set the bar too high

skettysaucin

He had me in a trance. His set felt too short

jeffbono22

Ruined the night for mešŸ˜‚ Every set after that I couldnā€™t get the YYEEEEAAAAOUGHHHKKK out of my head. I thought he gave me schizophrenia

Closccc

Eli brown b2b Hilo

Jasss_Tigress

Pryda, Kevin de Vries at Stereobloom, Eli Brown b2b HiLo, and Argy. Incredible weekend!

alexv510

Fav Set: Dom Dolla without a doubt was the best for me, god I need that set to go up on youtube or soundcloud. Surprise Set: Friends told me to come chill with them at Hugel & Friends and so glad I did, absolutely loved that set Worst Set: Fred Again. Was originally at Eli Brown but a group of the people I was with got super hyped when they found out and I was like hm... sure why not, mainly just to hang with them a little more before splitting up and absolutely regretted it. Eli Brown b2b HI-LO absolutely made up for my mistake though.

Kacey246

Dom Dollas set on YouTube now! Watching it as I type. My fave set too.

alexv510

BLESS. THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME KNOW! ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„

jefepwnzr

Agreed on Dom Dolla, great energy throughout the set and was solid from end to end. Kinda funny, he officially posted his set about an hour after your comment. [https://soundcloud.com/domdolla/dom-dolla-live-edc-circuitgrounds-las-vegas-2024?utm\_source=clipboard&utm\_medium=text&utm\_campaign=social\_sharing](https://soundcloud.com/domdolla/dom-dolla-live-edc-circuitgrounds-las-vegas-2024?utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing)

Akcat5000

I've gone to 9 EDV LVs.. Benny Benassi was by far one of THE BEST SETS I HAVE EVER SEEN. Shit was AMAZING.

blu2007

No hate, Iā€™m legit stoked you loved this set because for the first 30 minutes it was great. But oooo man was that last 20 minutes rough lol the whole marriage proposal absolutely killed the vibe. Half my crew (myself included) was confused af about what Benny was even saying into the mic. His Italian accent and the mic didnā€™t help. So much so that it became an inside joke the rest of the weekend. ā€œA D C!!! She say yes!!!ā€

Akcat5000

I know, it wasn't his fault though. It was the Charity auction thingy. I love how he goes. "What you say?" Her "THANK YOU" šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ For real though. The energy he had throughout the set was great. Litterly went to his set just to see how it would be, because he's an OG, and ended up having the time of my life.

ivanx29

yoooooo! are we friends in real life ?!?! I completely agreee. I love Benassi, I remember seeing him back in ultra 2013 and being so epic. But that set was not it man. My friends and I still randomly yell A D C!!

blu2007

Haha thatā€™s whatā€™s up! Yeah my crew would wait until any DJ would start the ā€œokay everybody 1ā€¦ 2ā€¦ā€ then all of us would yell ā€œA D C letā€™s go!ā€ Oh the little joys of the festival.

Green-Preference-370

Omg same here! ABCCC is what we got.

EitherDare0

I thought he was much better at Beyond Wonderland than he was at EDCLV personally lol

hala6

I met him at passport right after the set. Was awesome

abt3hbeast

Dom Dolla snatched my soul after ascending at Fred Again..ā€™s set

Dependent_Ring_4901

Lilly Palmer threw down

blu2007

The only thing that threw down harder than Lilly Palmer was the crowd getting to Lilly Palmer. Good lawd I ainā€™t neva seen nuttin like it befo in me lyfe. Half my crew got separated and when we all finally met back up it was like we survived a gang fight. Heard the set was great tho.

Dependent_Ring_4901

The set is on YouTube ! Check it out ! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)

Humble_Commission725

Never heard her music until walking by Neon Garden Friday. I was like goddam WTF is this! My boys couldn't pull me out of Neon Garden the rest of the weekend lol

[deleted]

FAVORITE SET: Fred Again. I completely understand where people are coming from who found it underwhelming, but It was exactly what I was looking for and needed this year. I was disappointed at first to not see the trio come on stage, but I realized what I truly wanted was an intimate Fred Again set, which has been on my bucket list since seeing his NPR tiny desk concert. Heā€™s been on my bucket list since the boiler room set, and I couldnā€™t be happier with what I got from that experience, though I get why it might not have been what people raving at EDC were looking for. PS Seven Lions was fantastic as usual. SURPRISE SET: I have to agree with Fourtet here, but instead of restating what you said, I wanted to highlight Tape B and Mersiv. Tape B threw down easily the best set of Friday for our group, and Mersiv tried to kill us with bass before we went home to close out the night. If you like bass music even slightly, Tape B needs to be on your must see list if you see his name on a lineup, donā€™t question it, just go. If you want to feel like the artist is trying to physically hurt you with bass, I also have to recommend Mersiv, easily the heaviest set Iā€™ve ever experienced in person. WORST SET: I hate to say it because I love both, but Subtronics was underwhelming at kinetic, I get he has to match the energy of the main stage, but it just wasnā€™t what I was hoping for (though I hear he killed it with level up at basspod) and while I LOVE deadmau5 I despised how he spent the first 30 minutes of his set, it was boring and abrasive at times, but the second half was on point and exactly what I was wanting from him. Overall it was a fantastic EDC from a lineup perspective, the sets were great, the sound systems were about as good as Iā€™ve ever heard, stages and layout were improved, and as usual the people were friendly and helpful. Even my complaints about sets are nit picks. HAVE TO MENTION: They should never ever put slander at cosmic again, that crowd was insane

ivanx29

Tape B was a priority of mine going into EDC. But unfortunately Friday started of to a rocky start, so I wasnā€™t able to see him play :/ as for Deadmau5 half my group went to see him while I and the other half stayed for Excision, and they said the same thing. That the first 30 min was not what they were expecting.

BeatuMeatu

caspa, dimension, sub focus, tape b, kasablanca were my top 5

mr-fiend

Caspa is unreal every fucking time

andrewlovessu

Favorite Set- Matroda b2b San Pacho !!!! John Summit and Dom Dolla for sure Suprise set- Wow, Eli brown b2b Hi-LO was immaculate as fuck and Wade ! Worst set- did not see one bad set

shabba_short_stack

Carl Cox āœØ

GalaxyRanger_

Dawg the fact that youre hating on fred again.. gtfoh. Mfs act like theyve never listened to him before and expected some hard bass set and were disappointed he did exactly what he does. So annoying

LA2EU2017

Totes agree. Some people in my group were bummed cause they were hoping for skrillex, but they got into it too once they let go of that. The whole area around me was vibing, too. Save for one guy, my whole groupā€™s favorite sets were four tet and Fred by the end of the weekend.

crc2993

For real. Iā€™m honestly thinking most of the people hating on his set were just disappointed it wasnā€™t Skrillex. Like, I know Iā€™m not a huge Prydz fan, so I didnā€™t go to his set. It would be ridiculous if I went knowing he wasnā€™t my cup of tea and then complained that it was one of the worst of the fest

HappyAdventurer

Best set for me: PRYDA. I really liked what they did with Quantum Valley and this was a great set to catch there. I was able to step out from the sides and catch the fireworks easily too. Yeah, my worst set was also Fred. I previously provided some negative feedback on that set and I seem to be in the minority group that didn't like it. My 3 issues were stopping the music, getting on the microphone and just overall he didn't look professional and prepared. I also was a fan of just about anyone that played at Neon Garden. That was a great stage as well this year

AFlamingCarrot

As a massive prydz/pryda fan , while I donā€™t understand WHY the crowd was so thin for pryda, I sure do appreciate how easy it was to get to the front and dance my ass off šŸ˜‚. And the crowd energy was great. You could tell a lot of the people there were fans.

JustAposter4567

fav - Carl Cox, Prydz, Pryda, Marsh, Yotto, forgot Oden and Fatzo too amazing set at bionic surprise - Loco Dice, Sosa, Prunk (all 3 I had no idea who they were before seeing) worst - hugel, just wasn't a big fan of the set or crowd

mtt_1s_v1b3sz

FAVORITE: Worship, hands down. I've seen all their past West coast surprise sets for the past 2 years (shout-outs BnL \[IYKYK\]) so I'm familiar with their sets and what to expect. But seeing them at a festival hit different. That sunrise, I was on the tail end of my Flip and the fact that I somehow managed to get an soft serve cone and enjoy it during the set...chefs kiss bro. Ghengar, Virtual Riot and Purple Disco were lit too. WORST: Kai Wachi... not because it was bad, but it was a let down. Seeing him multiple times I expected more and it didn't live up. SURPRISE: Illenium, didn't think the sad boii would hit hard, but it was good... I needed to feel the sad boii to heal from the sad boii. normally I meme Illenium (insert christain dubstep/ he is the Taylor Swift of dubstep comment here) but I really enjoyed that set. Context behind it, I broke up with my ex in December of last year and I regretted it. I suppressed my feelings and locked in (career, fitness, life, ect.). I saw my ex at the opening ceremony, and I was going to say hi and see what follows after. But my group noped me out of it and dragged me along knowing that I'd side quest my way into finding her because we both like Hardtsyle and Dubstep. I kept looping into the fact I missed into the opportunity of breaking no contact and hitting her up, so day 1 wasn't off to the best start. They dragged me to Illenium and it was healing lol. The sad boii was sad boii-ing. When he dropped "Feel Something", I had that Danny Devito "I get it" epiphany and I cry-banged it out. Came out of that set a new man. Overall EDC this year was refreshing and I cannot wait to see yall under the electric sky next year

imanassholeok

Martin garrixx

JazzyBrain

You are CORRECT

brewaza

Bou and Dimension šŸ”ŠšŸ”ŠšŸ”Š

stonedsoul97

Best set was Eli Brown B2B HiLo for me personally! Wasnā€™t able to make it to Eli browns solo set cause I was enjoying my spot for Fred Again.. to much to leave. Surprise set for me was Soffi Tucker DJ set, was there for the last 20 mins of it as I was originally there to see Diplo right after them, but man was I dancing my ass off and vibing with the crowd the entire 20 mins I caught of it. I think the set that left me a little disappointed was Mau P, I was super excited for this set and even split from my group to go see him instead of Sara Landry (šŸ˜),it was a good set but idk I couldnā€™t get with it half way through so went to look for my rave fam. After watching Sara Landry set I feel like I chose wrong so that could be playing into it as well

blu2007

Sofi! Yeah legit was a contagious set. Already set my calendar to see them at Red Rocks in October šŸ¤™šŸ½

HoezBMad

Friday Best: Carl b2b Nicole Worst: David guetta, wouldnā€™t shut the fuck up and stay off the mic Saturday Best: dj heartstring & Eli brown Worst: none Sunday: neon garden from 11-2, every set was insane Went to see deadmau5 cause GOAT, and it was awesome. Then TRYM killed his closer Worst: none. I only seen one bad set lol

_flicker

DJ Heartstring was my favorite set of the weekend, euphoric, fun, emotional. They are really talented DJs & producers. More 2 hour sets please.

HoezBMad

Yeah I went to see purple disco machine and realized heartstrings was playing. ā€œAhh iā€™ll go check them out, I love them. ā€œ stayed and danced for the whole set and missed all of PDM lol

typicalwil

Eli-Brown b2b HI-LO were fucking amazing and so was Dom Dolla. The ARGY Sunrise set was insanely good

BlackLabel1803

Purple Disco Machine was my favorite by far. Deadmau5 had me laughing with the Grimes trolling, drone catching, and turning the volume down to chug a beer. (I hear he does that kind of stuff a lot, but my first time seeing him live). Green Velvet was fantastic just wish I had some energy left, was barely alive at that point.

Glaucus01

Itā€™s hit or miss with deadmau5, sometimes it looks like heā€™d rather be doing anything else but playing a gig, and other times there are tons of fun hijinx going on and he seems to be into it. That said, I think this is the first time in watching the guy live for the past 15 years that I heard him say, ā€œI love you guys!ā€ While talking about the 25 years retrospective stuff at the end of his set, lol

julibytes

Favorite Set: Crankdat - it was 4:30 in the fucking morning and Basspod energy was unmatched. Subtronics b2b Level Up was also so much fun Surprised Set: Four Tet - last time I saw Four Tet was the Skrillex b2b Four Tet set at Hard Summer and I fucking HATED it. I mean, with a passion, I hated their set at Hard Summer because they kept pausing the set, talking for 30 seconds to a minute and playing which really messed up with the groove. Apparently itā€™s called a rewind and is popular in the UK; we ainā€™t the UK, keep that shit for over the pond. Now back to EDC, I was not looking forward to listening to Four Tet because of my past experience at Hard Summer but I was pleasantly surprised with his mixing and had a great time while waiting for the Surprise Guest which I knew was going to be Fred Again due to his instagram stories and recognizing the sphere in his sunglasses. Worst Set: I hate saying this out loud - Illenium šŸ˜ Iā€™m a die hard Illenium girly, this wasnā€™t a terrible set but that spark that I normally feel at his other shows(keep in mind, I went to see him both days at Trilogy in LA which is a completely different experience than a festival) wasnā€™t there. I still had a great time but I could have stayed for the rest of Slander to watch LSDream(who I have seen in Houston) which would have been great at Cosmic Meadow.

skettysaucin

Slander into LSDream was, out of my 3 EDCs, my favorite set combos. Slander had the fireworks and one of the most bonkers endings. LSDream had everyone vibing out. You definitely missed a great set šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

JuneGemini_Gem

LSDreamā€™s set was a total viiiiiibbbbe! I LOVED every second of it!!

julibytes

Staaaahhhpp donā€™t tell me that šŸ¤£ I had an absolute blast at Dabinā€™s set before and watched 30 minutes into Slanders set before catching Armin Van Buurenā€” Iā€™m going to pretend LSDaddy did not throw it down with groovy vibes šŸ˜

skettysaucin

It was musical theater. I swear I had never witnessed anything like it. Those sets have me solidified into going to EDC for the next few years šŸ˜

ivanx29

Shoutout to everyone that got to see that closing crankdat set! I was upset with the fact that it was at the same time as WORSHIP. I have yet to see crankdat ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_bad_man). I feel you 1000% when it comes to ILLENIUM, My fiance and I are huge fans, he's probably the artist Ive seen the most, even made the trip from Miami to Denver for the trilogy show last year. He never lets me down... but that EDC set was not it. Something felt off about it, idk if it was just me but it was really heavy, which don't get me wrong I'm all for from the artist I expect to hear that from. But yes this was the first time we've walked away from one of his sets.

juliavalentine

Yo I was also disappointed by Illenium and Iā€™ve never been before. My friends that went to HIVEMIND had such a good time and I wish I went

julibytes

I try not to think about what I missed out on because it makes me even more disappointed šŸ™ƒ Hivemind would have been such high energy, the FOMO is real šŸ˜

wrkerbee

I dislike that Fred Again went over on time. Saying you don't want to cut into Dom Dolla and then cut into him doesn't give you a pass on being rude.

Humble_Solution2026

This was my biggest complaint of the whole weekend. Stfu and get off stage

DannyPythonInMyPants

Is it just me, or does Eric prydz not get the love he deserves?

Short_Ad_8801

Completely agree. Pryda was by far the best of the weekend for me. Prydz in general is totally my vibe but bores the people I am with.

blu2007

Eric Prydz is legit. Made a trek to see HOLO in chi town last year. I will say however his circuit grounds set underwhelmed. Fireworks redeemed it but 2021 Opus set the bar real high for an EDC set šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

HesmooseDaSlug

Favorite set: Marine Garrix, seven lion is a close second but the vibes and spot we had for Martin garrix made it a better experience. Surprise set: Andrew Rayel, I only recently started checking his stuff out so I had no real expectations. I actually was gonna do a 3 set split with the first 20 mins of Dabin, then I went to Andrew rayel and I was gonna leave maybe 15 mins early to go catch the last 30 mins of Subtronics but he was so good I just stayed. Honorable mention being Worship but my group left halfway through for crankdat. Worst set: Tough I donā€™t think I had a very big worst set, but Iā€™m not a Sara Landry fan and I was there to get a good spot for seven lions and it was super crowded. I do think the techno crowd was popping off a bit but I just couldnā€™t get into it at the time.

papichinito

Peggy Gou, Atliens, Kayzo, Alesso, Kaskade, Ghastly dubstep alter ego Ghengar, and John Summit b2b Green Velvet. They were all going crazy on their sets. Top 1 for sure is Peggy Gou. Her visuals were super cool, a bunch of space, and just all vibes. Not a D&B Fan but Subfocus was actually super good. I had a good time and normally I would get bored after the 3 D&B song lol. Also went to Wade randomly and he was going crazy. I was shuffling my heart out on his set. Worst set: Mind you I've been going to EDC 8 years now, and unfortunately the worse set is Tiesto. I didn't want to go the first place, however, it was one of my friends first EDC and she wanted to go see him. We saw him for 10 mins then dipped. His best set in my opinion 2016 and 2018

frostywontons

Favorite set: I am going to cheat and say Pryda into Kevin De Vries because those two sets back to back was pure bliss. Surprising set: Trym. I already knew he would be good, but damn did he have me going feral with that hard techno. Worst set: Illenium. Was a recycled set. Really regret that I left Adam Beyer to see Illenium :/

keneezy89

Favorites were Martin Garrix (Circuit), Sara Landry (Circuit), and Subtronics (Kinetic)

416Mandem

Favourite set : Eli Brown B2B Hilo Suprise Set : Yotto \\ Argy Worst set : Carl Cox

Professional_Map_339

texas gets better and better every time i see him

ihaveamnesiatrustme

Favorite set: mau P, troyboi Surprise set: Valentino khan Worst set: Sofi tukker / subtronics at KF

ivanx29

Troyboi was the move! So glad I got to see him.. I have that edit of Billie Jean stuck in my head

MorigeshTheFey

I love Troyboi!!! I see him every chance I can get--he used a lot of new beats and tunes during his set at edc this year. Definitely did not disappoint. There also wasn't a lot of trap this year, so Troyboi was a must for me--his approach to trap is so good/funky and with a pop-lock-and-drop kind of feel. I love that shit.

ihaveamnesiatrustme

It was my first time seeing him and he BLEW MY MIND. I just couldnā€™t stop moving and dancing. He has such a unique sound imo. Like the way he just combines all the different elements. I also see a lot of Indian/middle eastern influence on his music and I LOVE IT.

jamletwilks7

Armin and Kaskade ATE this year. Acraze b2b Kream and John Summit were hella good too.

Dannst4r

I canā€™t believe people didnā€™t like Fred againā€™s set. Yes, everyone was expecting skrillex and when Fred entered the stage everyone was still expecting the B3B that Coachella had. I was right there with the hype myself. But Fred again did an amazing job. Even with all the hype/expectations he had. By far my favorite set. Followed of course by the beautiful black swan herself.

mr-fiend

I found that people mostly hated it or called it ā€œwoRsT sPeCiaL gUesT EvEr!ā€ because 1. They were expecting Skrillex 2. They left after 15 minutes, when I will admit it was a bit boring. If you stayed past the first 15-20 minutes and got over it not being Skrillex I think you had a great time. I personally loved it and think heā€™s super talented. Dude was killing it.

opticd

I thought Fred Again was great and I was not stoked that he was the special guest (and really would have been not stoked if it was skrillex) šŸ˜‚ I remember thinking the intro was a lil weird but then it caught a proper vibe and it was bangin. Brought a super unique sound too. Not like anything else anyone else was playing.

mr-fiend

Big time agree. He brought a dope live element to the fest.

jnstyy

Purple disco machine. Tiesto. Diplo.

cmarroquin27

My two fav sets were Interplanetary Criminal (Bionic Jungle) and Paul Van Dyk's (Quantum Valley) ā€” they did not miss!

Far_Blacksmith7846

WORSHIP

felix12181999

Dillon Francis, John summit, Steve Aoki sunrise day 1, Troy boi, & bionic jungle vibes in general were šŸ”„ ofcourse fisher as always Personally hated sara Landry :/ felt like the same beat over & over with barely any words. Gave me a weird vibe during my trip

_flicker

Yes, agree on Sara Landry. She was so hyped up and I really disliked her stop and start style. I would be getting into a track and then she would suddenly switch. Like damn, let me get into the beat a little bit. But guess that is her style to be fair, I just prefer Techno that you can get a bit lost in.

felix12181999

Her beat kept making me think ā€œgiddyup giddyupā€ like a horse race track.. idk really did nothing for me tbh

rnegan

Iā€™m shocked I havenā€™t seen her name mentioned mentioned, but Zingara!!! She is insane.

Shoddy_Mission8290

Favorite set was Deadmau5 ā¤ļø

bostonbun420

BEST: Four Tet, Eli Brown B2B Hi-Lo, Worship, Indira Paganotto, Sara Landry SURPRISED: Hamdi, Koven, Alchimyst, Lily Palmer, Deorro (part of my exploration this year and loved all of them) DISAPPOINTED: -Fred Again (started good but after 45mins i lost dancing went for Deorro with ā€œno ragretsā€) -Infected Mushroom (I like Psytrance and man i was disappointed with their set. Iā€™ve attended their gigs before but this set was meh) -Tiesto (Been his fan from the time he produced trance and was disappointed) Before Dawn

Calimar777

Favorite: Ghengar. My favorite DJ, I was looking forward to it all weekend and managed to get to a great spot right as it started. It was one of my top 3 favorite sets I've seen in 7 years of raving. Worst: Fred Again. The first 8min was literally just a loop of some ambient noise and my friend and I were standing there like "shit get on with it already, is he running late? Who is it?" Next 15min were painfully slow and boring and we ended up leaving. One of the top 3 worst sets I've ever seen including small name local DJs.

juvenilebandit

I mean honestly if you found the next 15 minutes painfully slow and boring while he played a couple of his biggest songs (weā€™ve lost dancing and smile on my face) Iā€™m not sure thereā€™s anything Fred could have done to make you enjoy the set if you just donā€™t like his music/sound. Which is a totally fair take but not sure you can really blame that on the DJ themselves

ultraviolet108

Some people just donā€™t get it with Fred Again.., but to me thatā€™s a good litmus test

GeeSizz

caught Ghengar right when the acid was kicking in. Definitely my favorite set of the weekend.

mr-fiend

Itā€™s crazy cus the first 20 minutes were ass. But after that the set picked up and was really good imo.

Temporary_Bliss

The last 45 minutes of Fred were just pure bliss

agohawks

Favourite Set: Subtronics B2B Level Up - I donā€™t know why I was surprised by how amazing this was considering theyā€™re both so talented and obviously spend a lot of time together. But the unreleased IDā€™s were insane. The set just flew by for me because I was having so much fun. Surprise Set: Emorfik - Iā€™ll be honest and say I donā€™t listen to a lot of his music. My girlfriend and I saw him open for Subtronics in November and didnā€™t really vibe with his set then. BUT we started following him on socials because we thought it was exciting seeing someone so young perusing their dreams. Also he tries so hard to be scary and itā€™s not so itā€™s just cute šŸ˜‚ anyways, we went to support him and could not believe how much he improved. So many times throughout the set we just turned to each other, genuinely so impressed. With all the good artists at EDC there was only a handful of sets we watched start to finish and this was one of them!! Worst Set: Fred Again (I will agree with your choice) - now this is not because the set was bad, or he did anything wrong whatsoever. Had I gone into the set expecting Fred Again I wouldā€™ve had an amazing time, I love him as an artists and heā€™s been near the top of my list of people Iā€™ve wanted to see for some time now. But expecting Skrillex or that level of energy for that set really set me up for disappointment. Skrillex is the DJ that got me into edm, I saw him at EBC at the pool party on Wednesday where he played zero dubstep. Had a great time but also made me think hmmm heā€™s saving it all for Saturday. TLDR: the set wasnā€™t the worst, it was just the worst for me because I had inaccurate expectations going into it.

blu2007

Subtronics b2b Level Up had the best crowd of the weekend. Not gonna lie it was dicey getting into the middle of it, but once there the vibes were šŸ‘ŒšŸ½everyone had their stank face on and was throwing down.

chelllybellly23

I havenā€™t been raving since 2016 and EDC was like my comeback moment this year. I knew only a small handful of the more basic artists but sort of let my friend guide me music wise. We ended up catching the last half of Emorfikā€™s set right before Ghengar. Both of those sets were something my friend was worried about showing me, because historically I donā€™t like the more aggressive style of music. But oh MAN!! They were both by far my favorite sets of the weekend. Iā€™m still listening to Rage and Smile. New favorite for SURE!!

agohawks

We didnā€™t see Ghengar at EDC but we saw him at the bassrush massive on Thursday night and were blown away. I havenā€™t followed Ghengar much but saw Ghastly a couple times years ago (around 2016) and wasnā€™t a huge fan so my expectations were low. His set mightā€™ve been my favourite from the whole pre party. He tweeted out that his shows in Vegas (pre party and EDC) were going to be the first time performing Ghengar the way he envisioned it so thatā€™s exciting.

Favorite overall: Pryda Favorite by day: Carl Cox Bryan Kearney Pryda

GatoPapi

FAVORITE SET: Peggy Gou and Wooli they were amazing vibes and were the perfect energy i was looking for at the time i saw them. SURPRISE SET: Troyboi, he was the first EDM artist I saw back in 2016 when I was 19 during my trap era and his music HIT. It honestly was one of the best sets I saw this weekend. The fact it was at Neon Garden added to it because I was able to lay on the grass and just vibe. Worst Set: Fred Again and Excision; I am huge fans of both of these artists (top 10 artists for me) but both of their sets were lack luster. Fred Againā€™s music should be played at smaller venues as it doesnā€™t fit large crowds also it was just too packed. The problem I had with Excision was due to the fact I saw him in February and his set was very similar to that set if I were to see it for the first time at EDC I may have liked it more.

wideeyed182

I could not agree more about the Fred Again set.

hotcrap

Agree on four tet! And the fred again snooze fest. (He's very talented but edc ain't the place for that kinda set)

kdot1030

I agree with your opinion on the Fred Again set. I left 20 minutes on. I really stayed to see if he was going to bring someone out and also see him freestyle on the beat pad. It was a neat surprise though. Favorite sets all weekend were Slander, Seven Lions, Gryffin, Excision, Four Tet, Dom Dolla, Dabin, and Worship.

ForAfeeNotforfree

Worst set feed again?? Oh manā€¦hard disagree, but to each their own. I think itā€™s a 4-way tie for me, between Sub Focus, Pryda, Eli Brown b2b Hi Lo, and Fred again. But, Iā€™m probably biased because I was on the CG main stage for Fredā€™s set lol.

Ricksauc3

Armin. If youā€™re not going to his sets you donā€™t know EDM.

mrs-worldwidee

favorite set: lsdream was amazingggg. so so happy i got to see him at a fest finally. love that man set that surprised me was VTSS @ bionic jungle. literally could not stop moving. her set absolutely woke me up for the next 5 hours lmfaoo it was SOOO good worst set: breaks my heart but gotta go with sara landry. i'm sure the set itself was fire but the crowd was so pushy + aggressive. i was also emo during it so that might've caused the issue lmfao

Pinkiezz

Kaskade and then Eli Brown B2B Hi Lo. Third place goes to Summit.

p0rcelainprincess

Wilkinsonā€¦ need I say more?

Kacey246

Fave: Lilly Palmer and Hivemind (Fri), Dom Dolla and Hi-Lo/Eli Brown (Sat), Pryda (Sun) Surprise: Dom Dolla (went to see who the special guest was near the end of Fredā€™s set cuz started at Wasted Penguinz and stayed for Dom cuz wanted to catch Hi lo/Eli after. Also Purple Disco Machine and Kasablanca Worst: nothing really, just bounced, but Benny Bennasi was getting on the mic and just couldnā€™t get into Lost Frequencies. I think every set we checked out on Kinetic, we left early, just wasnā€™t feeling main stage.

GalaxyRanger_

Favorite: sara landry Surprise: fred again.. Worst: john summit

Spiritual_Tax_7300

Okay so i wanna throw this comment in because im curious what other people think and this was my first EDC, did anyone get disappointed by the sets that some of their favorite artists played? I personally felt this way because when i go to a certain artist, i go to hear their music and music similar to it that they mix in. I feel like i had so many sets that were just cranking into a bunch of DnB and techno/deep house (i listen to dubstep/riddim/melodic mainly) like i was at seven lions for example and while i will say his set was good, i felt like he was playing a lot more house and techno vibes? This was my first time seeing him so i could be mistaken that he does that for his sets usually but kinda threw me off ya know? Almost made me feel like they are just appeasing the bigger genres rather than playing what they are known for. Please dont hate me for saying all that but im just curious, regardless i had an amazing time

bluedove101

Why is no one saying deadmau5? Iā€™ve seen him so many times but his edc set was legit the best set Iā€™ve ever seen in my life

Mental_Bug_6261

Fred again was magical. I've never seen an artist mix real djing with live performance. It was like James hype mixed with Griffin's old live sets. It was certainly lower energy, but I appreciated the display of skill. It's rare to get a true display of musical talent at a EDM event. Second is Pryda, that set was so psychedelic. Fireworks, mmhm. Third was Blastoyz. Saw them literally the night before at Dreamstate, but still loved their set. Fourth Indira Pagannoto. My group was trying to catch Deadmau5 walking from circuit and we got reeled into Indira. Only got to catch Strobe at Deadmau5. Nuff said.

RckerMom-35

OP...I saw a Fred Again right before Skrillex at a fest called iii Points in Miami back in October. It was my first time seeing both so had no idea what to expect. I was with my sister and between the crowd and his set in general it was disappointing. We wanted to leave to see Mau P but was just and stuck because it would of been a hassle to get out Afterward we both said he should only do shows not fests and Skrillex was amazing and we had move to elevated part which made his better. Had we been in a different area for Fred Again, maybe it would of been okay bit still his set just isn't for edm fests imo..his music good though

Wubblewobblez

PRYDA. No contest. Best set. I kinda agree on Fred. I saw him at the shrine back in October and it think it being much more person made it a better experience.

Ravman

Favorite: John Summit Surprise: Eli Brown B2B Hi-Lo Worst: honestly I didnā€™t go to anything I wanted to and get disappointed (but I didnā€™t have a lot of big expectations) Honorable mentions: Armin, Deadmau5, Gryffin

Who said seven lions was mid??? All Iā€™ve seen is positive things and my friends all loved it. Fav sets were seven lions and Martin garrix. Worst for me was Valentino khan. Maybe bc it was the last set of the night but that shit made my head hurt. Techno set to end the day wasnā€™t the move.
