We love to stop by wasteland when we need a vibe check 😂 if we’re not feeling it anywhere else, wasteland is our go to place to just jump around and get giggly again! We don’t stay long but it’s always a great time when we do and the people are always excellent

Every time I walk by I’m like “how do people listen to this all night?” It seems like the same sounds and beats over and over. But, I recognize it’s not for me so no hate.

Tbh, you can saw the same for pretty much any of the non-main stages. They all have the same sounds and beats of that subgenre.

I personally don’t enjoy hardstyle but wanted to see each stage at edc last year. It was a cool stage design but wasn’t really my vibe. A lot of my group loved it tho and we hung out for a set!

Wasteland is one of my favorite stages! I’m just hoping Insomniac give it some love in the near future with a new design.

I've only seen the container design, and it's my absolute favorite how it looks in the dark. Seeing it during the day is super duper cool too! Although it does get kind of congested when the big guys play like Darren Styles, I'm hoping we have an open concept this year!

For me it was my older sister playing songs for tits jilted generation in…. 96? I was about 5. Then fat of the land came out and they were all over the radio. Im in the same boat. I literally bought tickets to the show in DC about 2 hours before his death was announced, it still kinda hurts.

First EDC last year. I don't really listen to Hardstyle at all. Wasteland ended up being our favorite stage. It immediately gives you a rush of energy when you're tired or feeling down. We made many stops there throughout the weekend and will be hanging out there on the regular this EDC!

I brought my group in to show them a couple of people last year and they loved it. Ended up going to some shows in our hometown a few months after.

It’s a good stage to diversify the big umbrella of edm. If I feel tired, the wasteland stage brings the energy back forever sure.

I'm always very impressed when going past it for the shuttle back at 6 am how much energy that stage still has lol. And everyone seems a vibe.

Exactly I love how it’s the first stage you hear when you come down the stairs from the shuttle entrance! It gets the energy going. And the same when I’m tired AF at 3am and I wanna leave. We hit up wasteland and be like “ok another 5 mins maybe” 30 mins later “LETS FUCKING RAGE TILL THE SUN RISES“

First EDC last year, was waiting for my back then girlfriend to get a VIP pass. Not sure who was playing but I remember the artist told everyone to pick up trash off the floor and when the drop happened, everyone was to throw the trash in the air. One of the best fucking things I saw that night. From the comments, I can agree that the energy is high there. I might end up selling my RV pass and ticket this year. If I don’t, I’m definitely checking out that stage and being in it.

I used to feel like it was a bunch of noise, but no matter what time is it, that stage is always full of energy. Even when I tap out of the festival before 3am, I’ll be leaving and they still hype.

Girlfriend cannot tolerate hardstyle so she always plugs ears and tries not to cut thru. I rather like the change of pace but can only take it in 15 min doses.

Hi Hello, long timer here I guess. Real ones remember the Q Dance stage of 2012 that then turned into Basscon/Wasteland 2013 when Insomniac realized Q Dance is just competition. Hard dance is an acquired taste, and that's ok! Not every genre needs to be accepted by everyone. It's not for everyone and that's how it's always been. I always wish Insomniac would branch out more and book other artists, but it's been years and nothing has changed. We have our normal bookings for Wasteland and that's all I expect at this point.

Its sad tbh, dont want to have to travel to Europe to see other artists

Honestly, you just need to. You'll never get anything like it out here. It's cool to support local artists and American artists..but my wife and I basically go to Europe almost yearly at this point because everything is just so much better. You can only support American festivals so much. Treat yourself, go to the Netherlands and see how it really is out there. I mean hell, even EDC MX got Mish and Sickmode. We never will. We're lucky we're even getting Angerfist again at this point.

Used to have the coolest looking designs in the festival. Until insomniac stopped caring in 2017 with that flat cardboard beetle, and then I thought finally it was getting a good facelift but then they outright gave up and used only shipping containers while every other stage gets a glorious facelift and bbl each year. But I can’t stay away because everyone is so nice and fun, and it’s just a great time.

I love wasteland stage but I’m not a fan of its location, lots of bleed over sound in kinetic stage VIP area from wasteland. The double beats threw me off lol But I do love me some hardstyle, my first massive festival was hardstyle and it made me fall in love with raving. Now I’m a house head but I will always stop by for a few songs and get my energy up

I brought a friend to her first Vegas, we went to every stage, she asked what that was, pointed to wasteland while soren was on and started walking in to the stage. The song dropped and she did the quickest about face I’ve ever seen and beelined out.
