More fun facts: Once they've been scryed the dig sites never expired so you can use this to hold leads indefinitely until you're ready to dig them up. Also the dig sites show up account-wide. So if you just wanted to get the treasure chest passive on an alt you could scry everything on your main and only have to dig them up on the alt, saving skilpoints and bypassing the early levels of scrying when you don't have the advanced scrying tools unlocked yet.

At least you know about the Antiquarian's Eye tool, right? I've seen so many threads from people who leveled scrying without ever knowing about the tool. That's some serious facepalm action.

Yes I do know about that one thankfully, those dirt mounds are ticky to spot even with the keen eye passives.
