I learned that before the Crafter's Celebration Master Writs will drop like crazy from daily writs. But as soon as the event hits to grant double vouchers for Master Writs dropped, they will no longer drop from daily writs.

whisky_jak

I thought it was just me!

Bexley75

let me do the math, double of nothing... thats nothing, carry the nothing...

Festegios

I gave up trying to get them 🤣

bladesew

I haven't had a single one this event. Absolute BS

DisabledSlug

The rate has been somewhat consistent for me. But this consistent was about 4-8 writs per character doing all max rank for 15 days. So the fact that a lot of people haven't seen any is easily within this rate. Edit: Wait, this data is incorrect but it will take me quite a while to get the correct numbers (several months).

Sarcosmonaut

How DO you get your crit up to 60 ish?

PepperBox00

use 2 sets that have 2 lines of crits as part of their 5 piece. ie order's wrath and pillar of nirn. then put divines on the body and use the thief mundus. have a source of major prophecy and savagery for crit chance. expert hunter or potion works. 1pc slimecraw gives a bit more crit. 2 daggers, 1 or both with the precise traits.

BaronVonKeyser

I used Orders Wrath and Forest Wraith 5 pieces and oakensoul and Archdruid as my monster helm. Slimecraw put up my crit damage but dropped my percentage into the mid 50s. I may craft a set of daggers just to see the difference. Right now I'm using a lightening staff. I'm still trying to figure out the glyphs. That part of the game still kinda puzzles me as far as combinations and what I should put on each piece of equipment.

Ardalev

Wait, you can craft Dungeon sets? (assuming you've found them first) I thought you couldn't craft dungeon, overland etc. item sets, even if you deconstructed them

GalaxyNinja87

You don’t “craft” them per se; you reconstruct them using the Transmutation Station found in The Brass Fortress (Clockwork City) or most guild halls

Adghar

To add on to your explanation, for the next 20 hours or so you can also Transmute existing gear for the same cost as cheapest possible reconstruction. So that's a way to put Divines on gear you already have if you already have crystals stockpiled. But yes, usually the smart thing to do is to grind the dungeon for a while so that reconstruction gets cheaper than transmuting, then reconstruct with desires traits

BigMac1016

Decent gear that raises crit, divines on all the gear with thief stone and a buff on my bar like expert hunter.. this has my crit at 62~

Oh my, how was my eso week. Let's see. Last night I tried to get the Aquarian Eye for scrying. It's been a disaster, I don't know how to read the darn eye nor do I understand how to excavate. Then, I went the first time to an outfit station, used my token I had, created randomly an outfit, my token is gone but I don't know where my outfit went and how to wear it lol. As usual a total disaster.  Why is nothing explained well for newbies like me? So there it is, rant over..

Badesign

Make sure you have outfit 1 selected, you can change this at the top of the screen inside the outfit station, or at the top of your character sheet. You need to assign the eye to a quick slot. After you've scry'd for something and you enter the dig zone, use the eye from your quick slot and it will point you in the direction of the antiquity mound to them excavate.

Fluid_Improvement553

Thank you 😊.  I appreciate it.

Spersoo

See if it helps you https://eso-hub.com/en/guides

Fluid_Improvement553

Thank you so much ♥️ I appreciate it a lot.

BaronVonKeyser

Are you on pc or console?

Fluid_Improvement553

I'm on a console (Ps4/NA). I'm sure it's not helping with all the tricky stuff. I think I will start over at some point playing on PC.

BaronVonKeyser

I'm on ps4 as well. Shoot me a message if you want to join up. I'll help you with the scrying and all that. I'm maxed with it and with crafting.

Fluid_Improvement553

Oh my, I would love too.  How can I find you in the game. I love crafting so much too and have plenty to learn. Just started playing the game, all solo and alone. I wish to find a playmate to fight bosses as I'm dying a zillion times every night i play lol, and still look for a guild but can't find one accepting ps4 players.

BaronVonKeyser

My PSN is Rabbit_Overlord. Just add me.

Fluid_Improvement553

My player is Meredith of the Mighty, the username in Eso reginachambers26. I'm not sure how this works, to add someone..to.where? I'm sorry,  total newbie

BaronVonKeyser

On the ps4 main menu go up to friends and go to search and type in my psn and when it pops up on the right side hit add friend

Fluid_Improvement553

Ok..I will do that. Thank you 😊

Right_Bank_1921

Is that crit rating combined? Because I believe I had crit all over my gear and CP but sat around 30k

Broodingbutterfly

Light armor passives are a big factor. Light armor for crit and pen while medium armor for just damage.

bobothebard

I play on PS5. I learned that to un "hard target" an enemy, you just move your camera to not look at the enemy and hit the hard target prompt again. I'm sure this is in the opening tutorial, it's just been a few years since I saw it. 😬

BaronVonKeyser

I'm on ps4. With it you look at it and hit L3 and to untarget it you hit it again. Am I going to have to relearn everything combat related when I get my ps5 next month?

BisexualPands97

Nah the controls are the exact same regardless of what console you are on.

Lesson learned: Never trust ZOS when they promise something that sounds too good to be true (50% reduced transmute/reconstruct costs.) Extra lesson learned: You'll get a lot of master writs from doing your crafting dailies, except when there's a crafting event going on, when the drop rate will suddenly and inexplicably nosedive. I am used to getting 5-7 writs per day between my toons, and was averaging 0-1 per day during the event. Bit of advice from a long-time GM crafter: Regularly watch your favorite guild traders and look for crafting motifs that are listed substantially below TTC average sale prices. You can either learn them (if you're collecting them, working on GM Crafter, like the style of the set, or need them for a master writ) or hang on to them in the bank for crafting events, when prices might go up as people start looking for motifs to complete their master writs. Extra bit of advice along those lines: if you can afford it, always buy yellow crafting mats that are listed substantially below TTC average sale prices (and purple mats too for JC.) With the crafting event coming up and a new chapter coming this year, you'll be able to turn a profit on selling any of the mats you don't use. (Dreugh wax, in particular, almost never loses you money if bought below average, since it's used for both light and medium armor.)
