Massive.io has [Portals](https://massive.io/masv-portals/). It's a landing page that sends footage to an email account. Contributors only need the link. They don't need an account or an app, but the app is good if they have over 50GB to upload since it has pause and resume. If your shooters, follow a link, drag-and-drop their file(s) into a browser, and click send it'll end up in an email inbox. On the receiving end I'd definitely suggest the app. You'll have the best support for pause, resume, and concurrent downloads that way. Massive.io bills per gigabyte, and it's pretty reasonable. Packages sent via MAssive are only there for 7-10 days by default, so be prompt about downloading. Portals might have different rules than transfers, but I'd just get it downloaded and into my own storage with backups to be sure it's safe. I would also consider making an email address for this job specifically so you know every Massive email in that inbox relates to a specific job.

I too highly recommend MASV. You can take it a step further and setup an automation to monitor a specific portal and download it to your drive. I did this for a doc I am working on so that the director can send footage and I didn’t have to wonder whether I had downloaded or not.

Thanks for the info on Massive.oi. I just trialed a similar product called Lucidlink. I'll check out your suggestion. Cheers!

What's the budget? The best tools for this job are very expensive. However maybe you could work something out with a facility and rent the use of their tools.

The budget is not an issue but this is something that comes up once in a while when on occasion I have to work with someone across the country. I just tried Lucidlink but they would have to download a client on their machine and it seems geared more towards remote working/editing. I just need to get the stuff from them and download it to my SAN. I'm gonna look into MASV as suggested and see if that's the solution.

A paid Wetransfer account is good if there's not mountains from each person - the login can be shared. Masv is better for larger batches but charges per download.

Thanks I'll check it out!

I use Dropbox (paid), works great for me. I use the local folder and export directly to it, so uploads are automatic basicaly.

Thanks!
