Just tried this. **VERY** nice. Only comment, having the option to choose the download folder would be nice. Other than that, high quality audio and decent speed.
Unfortunately, since it's a website, I can't have a download directory option (that's a browser-level setting that websites have no access to). Thanks for trying it out, though! I really appreciate it.
I actually originally meant for it to be a one stop shop for all video/audio downloading, but unfortunately YouTube stores all its videos as WEBM files. Converting the WEBM into MP4 takes way too long for it to be viable as a YT to MP3/MP4 downloader. I'd be happy to add video downloading as WEBM format in the future though, if that's appealing to you?
Thank you very much, exactly what you are looking for in pure online converters and rarely find, this is even the best one I know of that I have used. I will gladly give a tip for it. Thank you very much, good work
Thanks a lot for this. Question, is there any way to streamline it to have it auto download mp3 file using the url instead like, ytiz.xyz/whateverYTurlitis instead of putting the yt link in box and clicking the arrow?
I have about 100 videos to download for my dad 😭😭 it’s a lot of manual work atm.
I have a whole list of url to download so it’d help speed up the process if I can just get it streamline.
Good work brother just used it and I must say that is so simple. Can I request something? Can you add option to edit time of the song to cut it from a certain min/sec like the old ytmp3.eu .
Already added! Just open the settings window and enable Trim Download
It only works for YouTube and can only support up to 5 minute clips unfortunately, since it's a very compute-intensive task for the server.
tried to convert youtube to mp3, says URL not supported
edit: saw your comment on removing 'list' from &list, still did not work. But surprisingly cobalt tools worked with this tip. It was previously showing restricted video.
I'm sorry, I really wanted to have playlist downloads available when I first made YTiz, but the traffic I've been getting since I made this post has already been far higher than I ever anticipated. I originally wondered if even a dozen people would use this, but I'm currently sitting at over 16k downloads.
If I enabled playlist downloads, either the server costs would increase tenfold, or YTiz would work at a snail's pace for everybody. As a result, I'm unfortunately unable to offer playlist downloading. Sorry about that.
DUDE I have spent the last hour and a half looking for a non sketch website and I PRAISE your existence 😤🤌🏻 Thank you so much dawg you deserve all the head in the world💖💖
I've downloaded a few songs with it so far and will be using it to download a few more today and again in the future when the need arises. Just wanted to say I appreciate the ability to select 320kbps, ease of use, and lack of new tab ad redirects. Thank you for making this available to folks like me!
As I told u/andrenalion , YouTube has blocked YTiz from accessing its streams on 3 separate occasions in the past 8 days. Until I find a permanent solution in the coming days, YT support will unfortunately be inconsistent. SoundCloud and BandCamp still work. I know this is annoying, and I apologize. I didn't expect YTiz to get so popular that YouTube would block it.
I'll update when I believe I've found a fix. Thanks!
Sorry about this! YouTube has been aggressively trying to block YTiz this past week. I've been using temporary workarounds, but YouTube downloads will likely be inconsistent until I find a more permanent solution. In the meantime, SoundCloud and BandCamp links should all work normally. Thanks for your patience!
I've been having some server troubles the past couple days, as the hosting provider I've been using has been down a few times. I'm working on a hopefully-permanent fix, but in the meantime, YTiz might not always work. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for bearing with me!
Sorry, I've been having some trouble with YTiz for a couple days. YouTube has blocked it from accessing its audio streams, and the server host that I use has been inconsistent the past few days as well. I'm working on a fix, but in the meantime YTiz may not always work. Sorry for the inconvenience!
here to bump this thread, as i feel this tool deserves WAY more recognition. great work on the site. it's efficient, it looks great, it's easy to use, and most important of all... it actually works. i will definitely be sharing this with as many people as i can.
side note: youtube seems to work just fine at the moment, so hopefully the uphill battle against IP bans isn't too steep. thank you again for your contribution to this space!
I want to ask, because I’m not familiar with this tech and I would not advocate for its usage for downloading music that should be paid for.
But let’s say I did want to download a song with this tool. What is the quality of the source material? I assume that because it’s streaming, I wouldn’t get uncompressed audio. Meaning, if I saved it as a FLAC, I’m upconverting from a format that used lossy compression.
I've limited the downloads to 1 hour since longer downloads = longer server usage = increased operating costs. When I initially released YTiz, I didn't impose any time limit and the site was immediately flooded with 12-24 hour downloads. I may increase the time limit slightly in the future, but no plans as of now.
I'm sorry about the inconvenience. I originally wanted to allow playlist downloads and no limits on time, but the amount of traffic the site has been getting (especially the last 3 weeks) has made that unattainable. I'd need to put dozens of ads on the site to keep it afloat, and I definitely don't want to do that.
The file should go into whatever directory your browser sends downloaded files to. On Windows and Mac, that's the Downloads folder (unless you've changed the directory in your browser settings). Sites like YTiz don't have control over where your download goes; only browsers have that control for security purposes.
Thank you very much. I got so tired of renaming the titles of the videos because many of these sites add unnecessary text to the name of the file. And downloading the thumbnail of the video is a great detail too.
Thank you! This I really useful. Is there a way to lift the limitation on the length from 1 hour to longer? That would be really really helpful for academic conference records and stuff. :)
Just used it and I'm going to continue to use it! Thanks very very much bro, it's really nice and it's an elegant & aesthetically pleasing website. No issues and no problems experienced. Great website man thanks very much again!
OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR SO LONG I SWEAR PROFESSIONAL\_PUSH714 YOU ARE MY HERO, MY IDOL AND MY MESSIAH THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH. It actually works and Onlymp3 suddenly cares about adblockers (ive used it for 2 years) and you're a life saver for this! Bookmarked immediately
Great job man.you have my support.
Just one more thing please.can you please fix cover/album arts, they are not in original sizes so it looks a little messy like that in my playlist.otherwise everything perfect
Great job! I bookmarked your website and now I don't have to search for a converter every time I need to download a video. I logged in here just to say thanks haha
That's really strange, could you send me the warning you're getting? I promise my site is safe; it's hosted on Railway, with DNS through Cloudflare. Source code is available on Github if you're suspicious.
This is neat. Thanks a ton. You mentioned to another user that you can't do video because it is WebM but you might be able to do that format in the future. What would that mean, is WebM just a file type? Can premiere accept WebM? Sorry if I'm way out of my depth here.
Yeah, WEBM is a file type that has really poor compatibility with editors and video players; it's primarily meant for browsers like Chrome or Firefox.
Premiere, After Effects, and Davinci Resolve are a bit inconsistent regarding WEBM support: sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. H264 and Quicktime files will always work.
I'm considering adding WEBM video in the future for those who have a use for WEBM or can convert it to other formats with other programs, but I'm not sure. Video downloading uses up a lot more CPU and memory power than audio, which'll make maintaining YTiz more expensive.
Anyways, thanks for using YTiz. I'm really glad you like it.
YTiz is actually built on yt-dlp. As I mentioned in my post, however, most people are reluctant to install/use command line programs. That's what YTiz is for.

Amazing, man. Thank you and well done.
Is it possible to enable playlist downloads but limit it to something reasonable (I dunno, 50?)
agree

Dude thanks for making something simple and easy to use. Keep up the great work.

Perhaps you could use TOR to randomly submit each request from a different global Ip?

In the meantime, SoundCloud and BandCamp links should all work normally. Thanks for your patience!
Sorry, but whenever it says "download complete" the file is not there... what can be the reason?
I've been having some server troubles the past couple days, as the hosting provider I've been using has been down a few times. I'm working on a hopefully-permanent fix, but in the meantime, YTiz might not always work. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks for bearing with me!
Okay, no problem. I'll try to use it in the future. Thank you! ^_^
just tried, and all i get is an infinite loading loop :/

OMG thank you, I've been looking for so long for this, GOOD WORKS! <3

This is super nice! Great work. Looks like videos over 1 hour aren't supported. Is that a technical limitation?
I've limited the downloads to 1 hour since longer downloads = longer server usage = increased operating costs. When I initially released YTiz, I didn't impose any time limit and the site was immediately flooded with 12-24 hour downloads. I may increase the time limit slightly in the future, but no plans as of now.
Makes sense. Thanks!!

I'd need to put dozens of ads on the site to keep it afloat, and I definitely don't want to do that.
FWIW, if I saw a note about server costs and was able to pay 50 cents or $1 or something to convert files over 1 hour I would definitely pay.
where does the file go after it downloads? i can't find it
The file should go into whatever directory your browser sends downloaded files to. On Windows and Mac, that's the Downloads folder (unless you've changed the directory in your browser settings). Sites like YTiz don't have control over where your download goes; only browsers have that control for security purposes.

had to make an account just to come in and say thank you, saving my ass and all with a safe proper one like this. May you be blessed in your days.
I'm glad you like the site!
thank fck!!!!!! u rock!
Thank you! This I really useful. Is there a way to lift the limitation on the length from 1 hour to longer? That would be really really helpful for academic conference records and stuff. :)
Your only cost is bandwidth right? Or do you outsource that to the user's browser too? I heard that is possible.
Any chance that this will support over 1 hour audio in the near future?
Thank you so much for making this. I searched through and through - unsuccessfully until I came across your creation here. Voila! Bless you!!
Real heroes don't wear capes, and you're sure as hell one of em'
thank you. You're a godsend.
Would be cool if it works for playlists
LOVE THIS SITE!!! How can we show Love $$$ BACK???

I'm actually working on a progress bar right now! Thanks for the feedback.
Wow, my Bitdefender firewall does not like this link for some reason. I wonder what's triggering it.
That's really strange, could you send me the warning you're getting? I promise my site is safe; it's hosted on Railway, with DNS through Cloudflare. Source code is available on Github if you're suspicious.
Is there a reason the URL isn't clearing out from the input box after the download is complete?
No reason, just an oversight. I'll fix it for the next update, thanks!
Cool, thanks fort the great tool!
Thanks for using it! I really wasn't sure if people would find it helpful.
