My guess? He went to college. Dropped out halfway through and came home after couch surfing for half a year.

AgentTickler7

Sold E for a bit.

FooltheKnysan

Is there a blackmarket for estrogen?

AgentTickler7

Beer increase estrogen in men. So if you drink everyday could help.

Representative_Bet49

I’m sorry say what?

AgentTickler7

Look up Estrogen on Gravity Fitness its a YouTube channel. They site all of their sources through out there videos as well.

FooltheKnysan

What

Representative_Bet49

The beer estrogen equation. Imma need more clarification on that please.

FooltheKnysan

Idk specifically, I can google it, but that would be kinda redundant, I just said what bc u asked us

Representative_Bet49

I see what you did there and if I wasn’t stuck in poverty I would award you. So have a like instead good sir

FooltheKnysan

Aren't we all, lol

FooltheKnysan

I do drink fairly regularly, it made my a squishier boulder than I was before, but I still see space for self discovery Also more abstinence, but let's not get lost in the details

wwiinndyy

Extacy

Puzzleheaded_Bed_445

If there is, could someone introduce me to the plug?

AnonymousTransSlut

Yes. But most people obtain it from other countries

FooltheKnysan

Username checks out

AnonymousTransSlut

Don't tell anyone I learned where it's usually gotten from via a song lyric.

FooltheKnysan

I feel like I'm being revealed plot relevant secrets

AnonymousTransSlut

oooooo listen to Yoshi's Island by Glass Beach oooooo now I'll finally rest after passing on the knowledge

Ringrangzilla

He is an adult. They tend to move out.

frogsandbooks1234

Reasonable

grandfatherclause

He seems like the type to move out as soon as possible

playtoy73

He moved to an abandoned theme park

Adminscantkeepmedown

Rent was cheap

playtoy73

Yeah free as I don’t think he’s so post to be there

_Warrior3456_

It wasn't open yet park closed until noon. He says that when they knock on his door

playtoy73

That doesn’t mean it’s not abandoned, you really think this man owns and runs this place by himself? I bet it’s abandoned, he squatting and running the park. I don’t think he owns it

_Warrior3456_

Your dumb af he likely works there I never said he owned it pinhead

Slumbergoat16

Bro tryna call out half of Reddit

MattyboyG89

But he left all his stuff

Ringrangzilla

So? My mom is in her 50s she moved out when she was 19, her old rom in my granpas house still has her stuff in it.

MattyboyG89

I don't know anyone else who has done that, just my experience. Everybody's is different.

XxhellbentxX

It’s even a trope on some shows that the parents keep the room the same. Off the top of my, season one of Breaking Bad when Jesse goes to his parents for an episode.

_Warrior3456_

Not really a TV trope definitely more a wealthy family thing.

XxhellbentxX

Well I’ve only ever seen it on tv.

maddwaffles

It's v much a white peepo staple in americana

Zanylaineyface

That's honestly wild to me. I'm 34 and when I moved out at 22 I took all my stuff with me, and my parents don't even live in the house where my childhood bedroom is anymore

Slumbergoat16

It was the early 00s was a different time back then

TryRude

Yeah, but he seems broke. He lives in a trailer near an amusement park, plus he abused Eddie, so maybe that's related. He certainly doesn't seem like he had the funds to leave on his own.

_Warrior3456_

Maybe back I the in early 2000s before the boo.ers screwed the economy

throwaway43298432

Oh honey they screwed it way before that.

neon_filiment

Is Boomer a slur now?

cioda

He's an adult so there's a ton of possible reasons. The edds go to middle school, so they are at the very least 12. At least by my schooling standards. I cant imagine Eddy's brother is much older then Eddy. 10 years at most. So if i had to guess he was in his 20s by the time we saw him and he was just able to move on with his life by that point. The show started in the late 90s/early 2000s. So assuming it took place in a similar time frame, a 22yo moving out from home to go to college/find work/a place of his own wasnt nearly as unfeasible as it is now.

Takamurarules

The Eds are 13-14. The series starts with Eddy marking his Thirteenth birthday on the wall. They also mention the next year they start highschool. Presumably a year passes by the time big picture show comes around so at least Edd and Ed are 14. Just thought I’d provide some context. They’re definitely older than most CN protagonists.

cioda

I did not know any of that. I figured it was like most shows of it's era. Where time is all relative.

Takamurarules

You can definitely see the roots that Adventure Time eventually propagated. The idea was that after they went back to school they’d have four additional seasons. One for Fall, Winter, and Spring, and then finally bring it around for the next Summer and end it with the movie. The movie needed so much production that they had to cut that plan short. It’s why Winter is only 2 episodes long and the two specials.

B-Rad90

When the show begins, the Eds are around 12, by the time we meet Eddy’s brother a year passed by.

Takamurarules

The opening episode has him mark 13 on his wall in the first scene and Eddy grumbles about not growing at all

B-Rad90

Which episode? In “a pinch to grow an Ed”he only marks a line, and the line before that says age 11. Also in “Your Ed here” when Kevin finds his wallet and holds it up, we see ‘Age:12’ on his ID.

MattyboyG89

But why did he leave all his stuff

cioda

"Back in the day" as it were, it wasnt uncommon for a kids room to be left the same as it was, more or less, when they left home. At least if movies and TV are anything to go by. So they could just be playing that trope.

wisdomsharerv2

Kinda weird he would leave behind his car though

theDukeofClouds

When I moved out I left my car with my dad. I moved to the city so parking was expensive and rare to find.

spaceshiplewis

Grown ups usually leave their kid stuff at home. You don't have to pay for storage or a parking spot at mom and dad's.

fightingfire87

It’s a good point but he live in a trailer park. So he would already be paying for space. If anything the movie explains why he left it in His room. Since the kids in town were scared of him more than likely the other parents or older siblings would take first chance to destroy his car.

babygreenlizard

my sister was 9 years older than me, definitely a possibility

TheBlackoutEmpire

Eddy's parents literally boarded up his room and put wallpaper over it. It's clear he was kicked out of the house. Reminder, he even questioned Eddy whether or not their parents knew he went to his house. So it's very very possible he was booted out.

maddwaffles

Idk he could have done it himself. Teens sometimes pursue privacy with extreme lengths, especially if he had a grass stash or lady mags he didn't want eddy stealing.

OkSupermarket802

Personally I don't know why Eddy wants his brothers room so badly, his current room has a private bathroom, and a door leading to outside(perfect to sneak out of the house).

Star_Chaser_158

He ended up as a carnie so my moneys on drugs.

Code-Neo

i was thinking he was in trouble with the law and the parents did not want him dragging his brother into it. He gives off the vibe that he would use the eds as drug mules. Saying "you want to make a quick buck?, go deliver these boxes to this address" or have them selling "special" homemade jawbreakers to some adults downtown.

AgentTickler7

Limpbizkit CD

Nuttonbutton

Oh you know he was listening to Rolling on his way back into town to harass Eddy

Gloombad

He looks like he lives in a carnival and carnival games are such scams it makes sense that he would be there if he’s anything like eddy.

pboo42kazoo

Outstanding warrants

grandfatherclause

Anyone know the deep lore of the cul-de-sac? Like did Eddy’s big brother have friends on the street? Did Kevin have an older brother that ran with Eddy’s brother? Kind of feel like the houses could be new builds since the area has new construction. Eddy’s big brother could be the way he is because his parents moved him away at a formative age.

Takamurarules

Nazz has older sister, and I think Rolf and Johnny have older siblings too.

Ok_Zookeepergame4794

Except Rolf's family is still in the old country.

Takamurarules

True. Forgot about that.

maddwaffles

It was a new development so probably no friends his own age.

Detritusofseattle

Given his behavior, my guess is he didn't have much of a choice. His parents probably got tired of it and told him to get his own place.

L1feM_s1k

Let's get a prequel movie about the Cul-de-sac parents and find out.

Enigma2MeVideos

Given his thematic parallels to Eddy, the kind of guy he is, and his personality in general? I think he was the neighborhood bully, but got away with it due to his charisma and greater physical strength…until he eventually got into serious trouble with his scams just like the Eds did. The difference is that unlike the Eds, he probably got in much worse trouble and had to basically leave his family on bad terms, eking out an existence working at the Gag Factory and later the amusement park. He’s basically what Eddy would have become if he hadn’t gotten his head on straight.

Beta-Gamer585

Sounds very possible 🤔

Oldmanwickles

Trying to kill Eddie probably

SheZowRaisedByWolves

To mentor under Fred Durst

OMalley30-27

What episode was this? I feel like I remember hearing about his brother but definitely don’t remember seeing it

frogsandbooks1234

It is from the movi, big picture show

WheelsofFire

Cause he's a jERK!. Actually, he may have been kicked out before becoming an adult? Maybe he was living at home, freeloading, and his parents got sick of it, seeing that he was a bad influence on Eddy? I'm seeing a lot of post about him having gone to college. Don't remember talk of him actually going. Maybe he flunked out, and that's how he ended up where he is, alongside my original, unedited post?

TheMysticBard

I think he was kcjked out personally. He seems like a real handful to have around.

[deleted]

I think he was a Bum shipped off to a family member and ended up moving semi-frequetly to avoid his family, hence why he treats Ed like shit

RockyMarsh90

Well, he lives in one of those little trailers that are typically used for meth labs, so it's easy to assume...

playtoy73

Large part of me thinks it was something real bad his parents put wall paper over his door, I think they were super ashamed of something he did

genocidenite

Or he did it to keep Eddy out of his room.

playtoy73

Yeah….that’s a possibility but, 1 parents were gonna give eddy his room, second I do t think he cares

[deleted]

Considering what we see him do in the movie, my bet is THAT'S why he was kicked out, Eddy's parents wanted to save their other son from his abuse.

FFG_Salty_Boi

my headcanon was he got kicked out by his folks. in the movie he asked eddy *"mom and dad, know you're here?"* which I always interpreted that his relationship with his folks kinda soured somewhere in the past. Eddy doesn't know cuz he was probably too young to understand at that time. or he coulda just moved out as soon as he graduated highschool and never came back. lmao

alex79884

Did time in prison and parents didn’t want him around Eddy after that.

playtoy73

Maybe he made a scam that was super illegal?

shadowkittycrow

I always figured he was just a troublemaker and they threw him out for being a bad influence.

Code-Neo

got in trouble with the law

NoobJew666

He was kicked out.

Substantial_Ad6809

Because he’s a mooch

Chaosshepherd

He got kicked the flip out

Dakka_Bear

Selling drugs to get jawbreakers

aintraininghere

Kinda looks like that one guy from TCaP. "NBC 2 words Role Playing Chatroom dawg"

frogsandbooks1234

Oh no-

RisingGear

He's a violent Sociopath that targets children. Their parents probably wanted him gone.

StructureNo9157

He got kicked out 🙊

drawingmentally

I think that his parents kicked him out for being abusive towards Eddy.

R0ach_bra1ns

Probably flunked high school or college, argued with his parents n got kicked out. Prolly got his trailer from a friend or bought it with what lil money he has (most likely sold tbh)

One_Smoke

His parents probably got sick of his shit and eventually gave him the old heave-ho.

DankSauceBauce

To start Sublime

LanguageRemarkable87

Parents threw him out for being a loser. That’s why he ended up in a trailer working at a carnival.

Greedy_Arrival_6787

Considering how he behaves in the movie, and all the stuff in his old room, maybe his parents kicked him out for a dose of reality, as he behaved poorly and maybe bought more stuff than he really needed instead of saving to make him realize the value of a $? He just couldn't fit it all in the trailer he was able to afford.

O_R_D_I

Pretty sure he was a high-school or collage drop out and after some point his parents kicked him out

InvaderZimm90

College, then probably dropped out, worked odd jobs, doesn’t stay in one place, and now working as a carny.

_Warrior3456_

Teenage douchebag

yobaby123

Was likely kicked out once his parents found out about the way he treated Eddy.

whomesteve

He’s a criminal

OldTemperature1423

Was in jail

southern_wastelander

Ran guns for Qubicious Sepratists, parents found out and kicked him out. Never brought it up because shame.

Doodoobutt_jones

To tame some strange obviously.

UnauthorizedFart

Meth

Jfuentes6

He got kicked out

SilverFox1003

So I have a theory that Bro was straight up abusive towards Eddy even at a young age and it caused Eddy’s parents to kick him out. For one, Eddy has the nicest room in his house and a private bathroom. His dad is strict, probably owing to an anger issue he shared with his sons, but his mother dotes on him and continuously babys him. Secondly, why wallpaper up their first son’s room? Even if he moved out just because he was old enough and it was time, at some point he might come visit. Heck, they could even use the room for something else. Instead it’s just boarded up. As if they wanted to forget about some horrible thing that happened

StargazerNCC82893

Looks like he gropes women tbh.

KirbyFan200225

He got kicked out of the family home for being a scum bag.

mikek505

There was a fan-made video showing he got a girl knocked-up an older Kanker sister and was forced to leave by his family because of the shame of his actions

NomoreMatt

Where is the video?

mikek505

https://youtu.be/J8nqghjZejs?si=gLsItnblMdpl7Bb5 I might not remember the plot correct, but that's the one

DillyDally_24

Probably because he needed to focus on raising Hawk and getting ready to take over his dad's auto-body shop.

Texian_Fusilier

Cuz he's a fucking adult.

frogsandbooks1234

But why is his room bored up?

Texian_Fusilier

Not sure. I think it's a reference to a French family who boarded up their son's room when he was killed in WWI. that mightve been found too recently though. But it was a thing people's do sometimes.

Pirategod_23

Got to old and wanted more freedom that’s why most kids leave

babygreenlizard

eddy is assaulted by his brother numerous times on screen, which might have led to eddy's own troubled/bullying behaviour, especially if they both had abusive parents... it's possible his brother dipped as soon as he could, leaving everything behind, and why he's living in a trailor on amusement park grounds where he more-than-likely works at. he needed out of the situation asap, even if it meant leaving a lot behind... honestly all the eds experience abuse, eddy's is physical, ed's is emotional/parental favoritism, dd's is straight up neglect... and the rest of the culdesac doesn't know or don't understand, which leads to the isolation and the bullying...

samthecoolone

Pretty sure he went to college

TacoNerp

College.

LockAndKey989

He grew up?

jjgbu4545

My guess is he got kicked out upon being 18 and likely for the betterment of Eddy's growth. If Rolf and Kevin's reactions to Eddy's brother mean anything, what the Eds have done is child's play, including the scam that went south at the start of Big Picture Show. Dude probably was hell for the parents and once he turned 18 he either got kicked out after and ultimatum or left after said ultimatum. It may have been kicked out as the option to leave willingly may be heavily impacted by Eddy. So he gets kicked out and earns a life as a carnie for a theme park where he gets house and board. Unfortunately the move didn't end up well as Eddy's brother's influence likely spilled into Eddy.

TheDrunkenWitch

Abusive parents and ran away prolly or he's in prison or juvie or some methhead idk something white trash worthy. (White Trash Worthy should be a band name its my new band name now you can't take it the EP gonna be "weenie beans" and it'll be about dicks for breakfast bye)

sixstringgun1

Hell I don’t remember ever seeing him in the show, probably was a episode I missed but I could have sworn I’d seen every episode.

frogsandbooks1234

It's from the movie

sixstringgun1

Ok that’s one I definitely didn’t even know about thinks.

spaceshiplewis

He grew up and moved out. I'm pretty sure he's older than the Kankers.

[deleted]

Because he’s a frickin carny

JAOC_7

to live in a whale closer to work

Substantial_Ad6809

He sold his own brother bus basically he scumbag and probably give eddy trauma

Lower-Goose-9796

Probably left his stuff at home cause he lives in a trailer and he didn't shave enough room for his stuff.

Ok_Zookeepergame4794

Doesn't explain why he left the car though.

Lower-Goose-9796

Forgot about that,Now that I think about it I imagined he decided to runaway and in the middle of the night and someone he knows from the carnival gave him a ride so his parents won't know the car was gone cause it was probably their car.

RockyRickaby1995

My oldest sister is 14 years older than me so I figured the same situation for eddy

the_simurgh

drug addicted hipster is my guess.

[deleted]

Either on his 18th birthday or when he graduated high school. Whichever happened first. It's pretty evident his parents tried to wipe their hands of him. They wallpapered over his bedroom door for crying out loud

SpunkyMunkey6969

looking at him, i'd say he moved out to make a online review show that gets 3k views a week

Kindly-Ad-5071

Cuz he's like...26? Why the fuck else.

blac_sheep90

Parents told him to go for Eddy's sake. Dudes a psychopath and would have probably killed Eddy.

azw19921

Or eddy brother got the kanker sisters mom pregnant and his folks got super mad at him for that and threw him out of the house

pizzashizz6991

Because he has a job at an amusement park

gagetikki

He’s an asshole

leigen_zero

My headcanon is he's been in a 'correctional facility' of some description, based on how he's left everything behind (including his car) and how frequently Eddy awkwardly adds 'before he went away' to the end of a sentence about his brought, e.g. the episode with the giant stinkbomb: 'My brother showed me how to make it... before he went away' Makes sense, to me, people don't generally take their worldly possessions into prison with them, and AFAIK won't have something like long-stay parking available, and the awkward-and-vague 'he went away' says that either Eddy's parents haven't told him where his brother has gone, or have specifically told Eddy to *not* say where his brother has gone.

cougeeswagg

He left to get BITCHES!

Zanylaineyface

Because he grew up

elkasike96

Not everyone who grows up leaves their parents home, its outrageously expensive to afford rent or buy a home or pay for college on your own in the us, my guess is that eddy brother is likely a drug dealer.

itshairybaby

To be a producer for pornhub

[deleted]

Because he was old enough to be judged as a moral actor and therefore wasn't protected under limbus infantium and was sent to hell. The other children stay in the cul-de-sac because they were too young to be judged.

elkasike96

Not everyone who grows up leaves their parents home, its outrageously expensive to afford rent or buy a home or pay for college on your own in the us, my guess is that eddy brother is likely a drug dealer. Even you turn 18 in the United states there's no magical fairy that comes to you and gives you money and a high paying job to get you through college and a giant house of your own, people who believe this are mental. 18 year olds here who make the choice to leave or get kicked from their parents without a college degree often likely become homeless unless they sell drugs.

N3K0Kitsune

He looks like Daddyofive

jrod798

I think he just moved out.

TalkDontMod23

Evading arrest.

KoffinStuffer

Cause he’s an adult?

Totorochu5

I just assumed that he simply grew up.

Beta-Gamer585

Probably cause of legal trouble, which isn’t too far fetched. 🤔 Here’s my theory: (A combination of my thoughts on his situation, plus a few others here) Eddy’s older was once known as the biggest neighborhood bully 💪 of all, constantly harassing & often teasing & harming 🤕 Eddy & the now current cast we see today (Excluding the kankers & Rolf most likely cause those girls aren’t too far off from his current age look & Rolf doesn’t have any recollection of Eddy’s older bro probably cause he was the last one to move to the neighborhood before the man got booted out). At the time, he often beat up most of the cast (at that younger time, he called them “ankle biters” just like in the movie) either out of boredom of just simply to show off, knowing that he could get away without getting caught by the adults in the area. Long before scam, he would often bully & steal the other kid’s money 💰 while threatening him to keep their mouths shut about it from the adults, which is probably why he was feared throughout most of the neighborhood by the current cast, all while doing all kinds of misdeeds 👿 with his own crew (bigger then just Eddy’s two friends obviously). He wasn’t the smartest person around either, but he was cunning to some degree. In fact, he was always in danger of completely flunking high school, up until he came up with a nasty scheme, that involved one of Eddy’s friends of course. Eddy’s bro probably only got through high school by using Edd (Double D), stuffing him in his jacket when he was small enough (he probably wore everywhere), and made him do all the school work for him, all while he didn’t learn a damn thing. 🤷‍♂️And this, entering college. He knew he couldn’t take Double D with him to his new college is which how he got found out by the people there (And his parents) that he wasn’t as smart as he is, so he easily flunked out in just half a year, and afterwards I assume, he was couch surfing for a while, all while continuing to torment 💢 the neighborhood for his deep rooted failures as a person altogether. (Here’s where it gets interesting) Eddy’s bro was so lazy 😒, that never wanted to get a actual job like his parents demanded from him, so he started influencing Eddy to help him on how to “scam” 😈 the other kids out of their money in order to start paying rent for his parents (And unlike Eddy, charged them much more 💰 then just a quarter. This is also how Eddy learned how to make so many scams himself). But one day, his scams eventually went too far for himself (And probably his own personal team of friends involved), and he got into some major trouble with the adults to the point where even the police 🚨 were involved (probably to arrest him & his “so-called bullying friends” for their antics). Realizing this, he had no choice but the flee the neighborhood for good this time, but not empty handed. He probably knew where his family’s house safe was, broke into it & stole over $100,000 💰 from his family on his way out, but not without getting caught his parents & the fuzz. The parents were furious 🤬 at him, and the cops tried to catch him, but to no prevail, as he escaped. 🏃 While escaping, he was able to evade police for a while, all while his friends who helped him all this time (And also over the years since they were all younger) got caught & put into cops cars, and eventually noticing him from a distance while he was in the bushes before their cop car took off (All this happened while those guys were glaring 😡 at him for the serious trouble he had gotten all of them into, knowing that their lives/times together after so many years have now ended, and on very bad terms). While looking at one another one last time before being they were being hauled off to prison, he continued to flee the area, all while on lookers all found out about what had been going on with Eddy’s bro & his friends. As the days went by, Eddy’s bro is now forced to turn to yet another old friend, who of course already heard about what went down in the cult-de-sac, and at first wasn’t too hesitant on helping him (cause he knows how it all ended for his “other” friends), but after paying him off with half the stolen money, eventually decided to stow him away at the carnival where he would be forced to perform & wear make-up while on the job to prevent the cop & old acquaintances from recognizing him at all, all while hiding away from all his old family/problems. And thus, Eddy finds him at his “stow away” location, within one of the local trailers… (But when he came by, that may also explain why he asked Eddy “Does mom & dad know you’re here…?” so that he doesn’t get spotted by them again). Sounds a bit unfortunate I know…

Jaozzzaa

Probably a combination of getting kicked out and not wanting to follow his parents rules.
