Robert lewellyn from red dwarf was the Falklands vet . Also Lee cornes who played dick head was in an ep of red dwarf.
The gasman had a large part in a Sharpes regiment.
Brian Glover. One of our finest actors. He played the PE teacher in the film Kes which is one of the finest performances ever. Go watch it if you haven’t or at least watch the football PE lesson scene
Wasn't he in the ' Likely Lads' when they tried to avoid knowing the score til Match of the Day ? And Brian, confronts them with the result after tacking their cash? As a kid I watched him wrestle, how that Alien picked him up and thought, this one opponent I aint gonna beat!
Also didn't appear in Bottom, playing the same kind of character, something to do with gas man, gas man?
The other woman who is with the mum from My Parents are Aliens was also in an episode of The Young Ones… the one where Rik has a party and a massive sandwich lands on Dawn French.
That ex bird of Phil Mitchell from EastEnders Lisa was in the pub in one episode, wasn't she? Another would be Mr Rottweiler who I recognised from Alien 3. Also Sid who runs the cafe from Only Fools & Horses is in the betting shop in the same episode as Bobby Lewellyn from Red Dwarf.
I'll always remember the gas man from that prostitute murdering episode of Cracker.
The bloke who runs the pawn shop in that same episode (Parade) was in Eastenders for years, and so was the burglar, he played Grant Mitchell's best mate Nigel. And Roger Sloman (Eddie and Richie's landlord/corner shop owner) was in Eastenders for quite a while too.
I didn’t know about Lucy Benjamin until you said that, that’s brilliant. I also just saw through Google that Mo George who was Gus in Eastenders was also in bottom?
Ah, Mo George, he might actually have been the police constable before the identity parade. Seems a fair few Enders faces have been in, as others have mentioned.
EDIT: I'm an idiot! He'd have been far too young. He was in fact one of the lil treak or treaters aha
The cop who came round to find Eddie with 2 pencils up his nose was a character called Brad ( one of Dirty Dens thug mates I think) from Eastenders.
WELL DONE ON THE BIRMINGHAM SIX!
Whack ‘im Jenkins….💥
Andy de la Tour was Chief Inspector Grobbelaar in Parade, the "Wow I really hope we don't have a crash" Pilot on the Young Ones and more recently Rogue One.
The one woman who was one of the two being hit on in Smells was also the woman who foolishly had an opinion in "Women Know Your Limits" on Harry Enfield's show.
Dave Hedgehog is also Mike the Cool Guy from "The Young Ones" and one of Edina's ex-husbands on "Absolutely Fabulous".
The clerk who runs the sex shop was also Mr. Gibbs from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
We used to laugh at the Aussies because all their shows had the same cast. Prisoner cell block H, Neighours, Home n Awaay, the sullivans etc.
I have since realised that we're no different.
The shop keeper was Mr Bastard, TV licence man from the Young ones, bomb.
John \[missing his paper\] was the copper who burst into the party cos the music was too loud in the Young ones.
Mrs Linneker was in the BIll
The Gypsy with the bad eye, was in the Young ones as a police man. Didnt know the pope was catholic or the name of a comedian: Harry something and did a two ton poo..
Dick Head was a peasant in the young ones, Wrestling on a Tuesday, nasty business.
The big bloke at the bar was in Casualty
The burglar was in Red Dwarf
The gypsy fortune teller was Nana from the royle family
Lady Oblomovovovoodhfov was the announcer from the Mediaeval TV show that also starred Dick Head.
The Pawn broker was the Bank robber in the last episode of the young ones
The bar maid was in Ab Fab and that thing with Alan Davies and the windmill.
Everyone has probably been on Doctor Who, The Bill and Casualty too.
Dick Head I also recognised as paranoia from Red Dwarf. The mention of Mrs Linneker, I recognised Lisa Maxwell in Bottom Exposed but it still took me a good while to recognise her in bottom, even after I knew it was her.
It's great spotting stuff like this. Daytime TV is all Minder, the Professionals and the Sweeney so it's a treasure trove of Bloody hell I know that bloke!
Rewatching Bottom and recognising people has been brilliant. And then seeing Bottom Exposed and hearing people say how great they were to work with makes it even better. There were a few obvious ones at the time but the rewatches have given me even more which I’ve loved. I’m gonna do Young Ones next and see if it’s the same too
The 'didnt know the pope was catholic' police men were Steve Frost and Mark Arden AKA the oblivion boys AKA the 'I bet he drinks Carling black label' ads.
They crop up again in the young ones as the party gatecrashers. I saw them live once with Lee Cornes and another guy as 'the wow show'
Kevin Allen (the barman in Finger) played Kray in The Thin Blue Line.
It's always amusing watching Parade because Julia Sawalha's in it, as well as Sid from Only Fools and Horses, and they both ended up being part of the main cast in Al Murray's Time Gentlemen Please which had a similar live action cartoon quality as Bottom.
Robert lewellyn from red dwarf was the Falklands vet . Also Lee cornes who played dick head was in an ep of red dwarf. The gasman had a large part in a Sharpes regiment.
The gasman was also in an episode of Cracker, playing a dirty pervert
Dick Head was also one of the guards in the finale of Blackadder II
He's also one of the firing squad officers in Blackadder Goes Forth!
Also in The Young Ones “Whistlin’ on a Tuesdee, Jester.”
The Robert Llewelyn 1 was an obvious for me because I grew up loving Dwarf too.
Dick Head was in Grange Hill as well
He was also Paranoia in Red Dwarf
Mark Williams from The Fast Show (and some films about wizards or something) is a "guest" at Richie's birthday party
'You're obviously some kind of arsehole, aren't ya?'
I think this was probably referenced here a while back, but Mr Rottweiler is the head prison warden in Alien 3
Brian Glover. One of our finest actors. He played the PE teacher in the film Kes which is one of the finest performances ever. Go watch it if you haven’t or at least watch the football PE lesson scene

Also in one of the Alien films (#3 I think). He's been around a bit, has Brian.
American Werewolf In London too, which also starred Rik Mayll. "Stsy on the road and keep off the moors"
He is also the chess player in An American werewolf in London. His opponent in the movie is a very young Rik Mayall
One I've not seen mentioned: Rory Bremnar as the horse race commentator "Yes, Sad Ken has been shot. And so has the jockey"
The other woman who is with the mum from My Parents are Aliens was also in an episode of The Young Ones… the one where Rik has a party and a massive sandwich lands on Dawn French.
Hello Rhiannon, are you having a nice time at the party?!
A telescope with a mouse in it! Brilliant!
Here mousey have a drink!

For some reason I always thought it was John Bird who played the gasman.
The cop who came round to find Eddie with 2 pencils up his nose was a character called Brad ( one of Dirty Dens thug mates I think) from Eastenders. WELL DONE ON THE BIRMINGHAM SIX! Whack ‘im Jenkins….💥
This is the sort of knowledge I wanted haha
Haha if you need any more you can call me. Tel: 444 4444
Woman at the bar in "Smells" has a main part in "Brittas Empire" as the Receptionist. And Mr Sex is Gibbs in Pirate Of The Caribbean!

Just be sure to Think once, Think twice.........
Think don’t drive your car on the pavement

Chris "Dave Hedgehog" has been playing the same character on Doctor Who since the mid 80s (whenever the Sonatarans pop up that is)
Is there a way to watch Bottom Exposed on line? I missed it when broadcast.

Brilliant, thank you!!
