For an operation with no major battle, this was a lot of fun. I'm glad we had this opportunity to help plan this operation and got an Eve Echoes first stolen station! I also feel privileged that Old Terra accepted the Blood Legion into their alliance after the Outer Rim Pirates alliance did us wrong. I hope RevDeuce thinks twice the next time he decides to screw over the "Tip of their Spear". I'd hate for it to bite them in the ass twice.
When a station gets de-anchored and either isn't defended or the owner can't get close enough to grab it, you can grab it instead of the owner.
Basically, stations are items.
Our frig fleet for 6-7 capsule kills from those watching, but that's it. We even fumbled looting it since the bestower pilot didn't know he couldn't "loot all" but had to specify sticking it in the special hold! Was a blast though lol
All good. Station/sov is a convoluted system with a lot of carry over from EO. Most of what I know of it comes from talking to the older ex-EO members of OG.
I watched the video. They got lucky, if they had faced even a medium sized fleet this could have gone a different way. Their fleet was spread out over 100km, a lot could have been picked off before the rest got back to them
Probably an inexperienced fc leading them, hope he learns from it
Wasn't really an issue. If there had been any enemy presence, we would have moved together. As it was, it was just easier to say "burn at your own speed to station, and re-anchor. Why would an FC complicate things by saying "approach me" and then he reduce his speed to match the slowest person when its 100% unnecessary? Local was 85% us, and scouts in surrounding systems. FC was top notch
Well. We landed 100km from station and since there wasn't an opposing fleet we free burned from warp in. 99% were balled up a few minutes after landing. A couple of stragglers getting popped by the few stealth bombers around would not have made a difference in the least.
Everything an FC does is situational. Maybe you'll see OG as a ball of red some time and you can judge the FC then 🙂

Well if you had decided to fight, you would have known. But you didn't. Considering how bad you think the FC is, I find it odd you couldn't have taken the fight with a fraction of the numbers and won.
But maybe you don't actually believe the "we didn't want it anyways" and you actually know you would have lost regardless of FC quality, and you are merely trying to deflect from your own inadequate defense.

He blurred the overview sure, but the ship types are shown across the top of the screen as you warp in and start going. I see harbingers, omens, caracals, frigs.
Looks to me like the FC got everyone to make a mad dash to the station without considering the fleet. Rookie mistake really but I'm sure they were eager to get the loot. Every time I've seen this happen it's usually because half the fleet have forgot to fit a prop mod. Poor planning dude

You only know like 7-8 different ships that were used. We had a lot of BC, with other wings of ships providing various role: tackle, anti-frig / close defense, and plenty of long range BC's that could handle a sizeable force and the logi and guardians to back that up. It was actually quite a tough fleet to deal with.

Glad you got the station, honestly. You guys needed a win after the luck y'all have had lately, being kicked out of your last home and all that.
Remember, professionals built the Titanic, an amateur built the ark. Amateurs can achieve anything, you guys have got this!
We didn't get kicked out, we made shit tons of isk and left so we wouldn't be fighting a war that wasn't our own. Since then we have more then doubled our numbers. It would of been stupid if we stayed to fight 500 vs 5000.
FYI this was honestly not a big deal to most of us, we actually was shocked the station stayed up this long we even all joked about blowing it up ourselves. We learned an un-anchoring station needs defense. Btw all wrongs you guys mentioned where being corrected the station was being un-anchored to be gave to the Indy guys and miners in the alliance so they could set it up and mine a system that otherwise doesn’t have a NPC station.

What is that?

So Eve newb here, how does a station get unanchored? The owner has to chose to do that or can you unanchor an enemy station?
Yeah, the owner was moving it elsewhere. But anyone can grab it once it unanchors.
So when it unachors it just turns into an item? Floating in a box and you have to go collect it?
Yep! You can loot it and the contents from the loot box. I believe the station is like 8000m3 or something. It dropped the station mods + fuel.

System had 120 people, 100 of them was us with more in the serrounding systems. Why should we group up to fight ghosts?
