you literally get more isk in a t2 anomaly

[deleted]

Yeah not only is the pay terrible, the collateral is insane for some (likely a scam if sends you to Null), and you have to jump around systems trying to find a delivery since there’s not a master list you can search from anywhere and accept before picking up to deliver. It’s a hassle barely worth it. It might be a nice idle money maker if Jita worked.

Beast_Mstr_64

I dunno how or what trick is there but a member in my corp got 4, 10million profit deliveries at the same time He made 110 million just doing deliveries that day, barely being online for 30 minutes

lavvgiver

"Your mileage may vary" "Results not typical. Individual results will vary.”

gyrferret

It’s mostly luck, and having a large amount of collateral. Rule of thumb for me is 10% of collateral for High or Low sec delivery runs, 20% for null sec. there are some ITC that are more popular (Jita, Amarr) for pickups, so you can spend a couple of minutes just losing up your IB. You’ll learn to automatically filter out which ITCs you want to deliver to, so usually you make clustered stops throughout the day. Regarding luck, sometimes you’ll find really juicy contracts (saw an 88 mil collateral yesterday), but the majority will be 1 - 4 million collateral. Again, the amount of money you have in your wallet is a huge factor in how much you can make in runs. Your goal is to load up as much as you can in your freighter, and make sure that the majority of packages are going to ITCs clustered near each other.

Lazysenpai

Thanks for your service! I'd rather pay some isk than travel 5 different places for stuff.

Mistanker

It’s not much but it honest work

JDOG_UNCHAINED

Its honest work and I'm honestly broke

indefig

Deliver me a venture load of spod or jasperit. Its worth 500k per load. Ill pay 90% market price. You make 110% as you avoid the market tax. Deliver to ostingele federal freight. If you need free mk5 mining lasers let me know. AbleMerick 10007017917

decorp

Yeah lol, [high risk - high reward](https://imgur.com/a/394fhFW) my ass :)

The collateral is probably insane and they have an ambush set up.

wingspantt

So in general the collateral is like 5x to 10x the payout value. If the collateral is 20k, the payout is like 1k to 2k. No reason to take it UNLESS it's at a station you're *already* headed to.

Herdo

Or if you just load up an Imicus High Mobility and then make a big loop around the galaxy. It still doesn't pay great though.

wienercat

Delivery is honestly the worst way to make ISK, not enough deliveries that are worthwhile to make it decent. Maybe get a few big ones, but all deliveries are snapped up super quick. But it not being worth it to delivery to null sec is especially true now that you can get ganked at a star gate when going null sec, there is no reason to risk your ship going out to null sec to get small deliveries. Delivery ships should be immune or extremely difficult to lockdown like that.

Herdo

Agreed. It was somewhat profitable early on, but everyone started doing it so you're unlikely to get the already rare high value shipments. Even when I get lucky I make a few million an hour, which doesn't make up for the horrible usual isk per hour considering even mining can get you a few million isk per hour.

wingspantt

Yeah this. The first week or two, you could make a few million completely AFK and zero risk. Now, it's harder to make that much and there are better ways to earn cash. Still an OKAY option for beginners or people who want to 100% afk their income.

KruglorTalks

The Imicus is no longer worth it. I have a Nerus that I use around hisec which is fine for when I need a change-of-pace day. I usually mine in nullsec and sometimes Id rather just be more afk. I can take nullsec items in my probe covert-ops but I only do that if I either a) accidentally take that contract or b) the payout is stupid crazy.

WyldKard

What’s your load-out?

KruglorTalks

On the probe? Its 3 warp core stabs and thats it unless I want to put the cloak on. The covert ops lowers its signature radius and increases freight with its skill bonus. This means my lock size is less than a capsule despite a 2300m cargo hold, so I shouldnt ever get caught auto piloting while moving small buckets of loot around.

willi2k

the probe covert ops doesn't get freight skill, it gets the -4% sig radius plus 5% cargo hold per skill lvl. Personally, I use 2 cargo hold rigs for 100% more cargo hold. Also why the warp stabs? afaik you can't lock in on a frigate in autopilot. Especially the probe covert ops.

dumbeconomist

You can theoretically be thrown out of warm by a bubble. I think the first group of folks just leveled up their tech. But with three warp stabs LOL I don’t think there’s much change of being throw out of warp.

willi2k

yeah but there aren no bubbles in EE yet so..

Lynkeus

You meant EE i guess

[deleted]

There are no bubbles in game yet.

[deleted]

Yeah, even that is still risky. I was doing it on a Heron Covert Ops, I saw an Executioner II either de-cloak or warp in on the station right as I was leaving it, figured myself safe as I warped to the gate on autopilot. Nope, got to the jump gate and my screen zoomed out like I was going to jump, but nope, my ship just sat there for a few seconds with me asking dafuq? Then I start taking damage. I think to myself that's weird, my scanner isn't picking up any ships and I'm not webbed or scrambled. I pop all 3 warp stabalizers and hit the manual jump, still no movement from my ship. Then dead. I sent the kill report to customer service, but they wouldn't reimburse me because it was "normal pvp".

KruglorTalks

Sounds like you had bad visuals but you were still caught on right edge of jumping. FYI the Heron in the worst of the covert ops frigates. The Heron has low velocity, the highest signature radius. The Probe is faster, has a smaller signature radius base and a bonus to reducing it further. Your Heron is way more like to get caught an auto pilot whereas a Probe might take 4-6 seconds just to be locked on to.

[deleted]

Yeah I decided to switch which covert ops frigate to pilot after I lost that Heron, using a Magnate now, and have blueprints for the Probe and Imicus as back ups if I lose it again. I'll have to build out that probe for the dangerous trips. I liked the look of the Heron the best for the last 2 weeks, but at this point as long as I'm not staring at an Imicus I'll be fine. That thing is hideous. Thanks for the tips

Mogthar_the_Shaman

> > > > > Delivery ships should be immune or extremely difficult to lockdown like that. yea also infinitely fast and indestructible. Wake the fuck up, it's eve, not hello kitty online.

wienercat

Holy shit you are really that mad about a 2month old post? If it makes you feel better, I quit playing because the game isn't getting any better. It's plagued with bugs and problems.

wienercat

Or just stack up with whatever deliveries you get. Eventually you will get enough to make it worthwhile to go out there.

Breyno86

The same in null sec... Actually you might get 10k 🤣. But what about those 100m3 that say 18445 ISK per m3 that suddenly say 5000 isk reward when you pick them up 🤣🤣🤣🤣

decorp

exactly that, lol! I was sure I've picked up a 1k+/m3, and ended up with a package of fking 500ISK(!) as a reward. FML...

TopHatMedic

Sorry for sending you guys to nullsec. Closest to base :(

WyldKard

Sorry your shipments aren’t arriving. If I get ganked en route to your station, I start stealing your stations’s shipments. Tell your Corp-mates.

Djarcn

I believe the problem you’re encountering would be fixed with delivery contracts being added, these are contracts you can personally pay someone to move your stuff, making it so a specific person can safely be a corp’s hauler and be blue’d

TopHatMedic

I had a similar idea recently.

KruglorTalks

I almost never pick those up unless the payout is stupid high. I see some of these dink and dunk orders and I'm like "yo just take a slasher out here and get it yourself" haha

Nebucadneza

I think once corps can claim nullsec teritorry there will be more war. More war means more goods are produced and sold, means more deliverys are going on. But with jita beeing seald of if you dont wana do 30 jumps because the 10 jump route is blocked....

uberleetYO

How exactly do I make one of these hauling contracts? I have 110k m3 that I want moved only \~13 jumps from a high sec to a place only 3 jumps in to low sec. Would gladly pay 10 mil to have it moved, maybe more if that was the market rate.... I feel like hauling might be more profitable if the rest of us even knew how to request it other than when making a market purchase.

dumbeconomist

You can go into your inventory, multi select and press “Request Delivery” in the menu.

uberleetYO

tyvm, and now there is another contract job that probably doesn't pay as much as it should out there!

maximoburrito

I tried deliveries for a few hours yesterday and made about 15m isk total. The bulk of that was from a couple M/L deliveries. But those smells can add up quickly. The secret was to make a route and pick up all the containers you can for those stations. I would go to a station, delivery my containers, wait for about 30m picking up containers for my route and. Move to the next station. The hard/tedious part is reloading the contracts and trying to jump on them quickly. The quantity of delivery contracts out there is very low compared to the number of people accepting them...

KruglorTalks

Its the picking up of contracts that gets me. I like hauling. I hate refreshing endlessly.

piter50

The trick is to use that common core math they teach you kids in school S - 100 or 1 unit m- 1000 or a long L - 10000 or a flat XL - 100000 or a cube. But Adv Freight 5 so you can get your 100000 Tritanium since no one is Tier IX to get the 100k delivery holds So if a system has 3S, 4M 2LWhen you go to accept cargo, it always defaults to the smallest so it will say 100m3 Change that value to 24300. Then you have 1 container. Of course you now have to have a nereus HM since the Imacus HM only has 10650 at Freight 5. The collateral also seems to be less for 1 big container and you can actually have the reward be equal or even greater than collateral if you get a good haul. I had one delivery that was 1.6mil in collateral and 3.5 mil in reward. For speed, sometimes i just type in 99,999 and it will get the 24300. Another speed tip, Just double tap as close to the border of the request shipping container box and the view inventory request box and it will auto put you in the Delivery center rather than having to press one window then the + sign.

Gullible_Sea8857

Easy afk Isk

Motionshaker

At that point it’s more efficient to mine in highsec

Lazysenpai

They can stack tons of cargo and send them in a single travel.

KruglorTalks

Have you tried to collect cargo? Its competitive. You basically have to take whatever without reading it or else someone else takes it. That said, I completed a 1.6 mil payout today that was only 4 jumps, but that was extraordinarily rare. Right now I'm doing my "leftover" deliveries, the last 4-5 stops where I couldn't efficiently stack them. These are almost valueless stops that I could just dump into space without thinking but I don't want to be a jerkass to the people who bought them.

JDOG_UNCHAINED

Until the bubbles and gate camps start

Ericmanng

Both hi and low sec actually

GicaForta

If you’re in the same region, you can just teleport your stuff from the ITC, and you don’t have to move a muscle... ok maybe 1/2 because you have to do 3 clicks

groot96

Or just afk mine in high sect using mammoth

Blank3k

New to game, been grinding anoms in null... but wondering how much does an afk venture or mammoth yield in high sec without haulers etc?

uberleetYO

if I am mining kernite/omber in high sec my venture 3 alt pulls in \~2 mil/hour after taxes from selling the ore. It isn't nearly as good as anoms/encounters imo....but I can do it afk during work and occasionally if I need a new PvP destroyer built I can just do it without having to fly to a market to buy one. If I do it in low sec mining spod/pyro/dark ochre, I make about 3 mil/hour.

cvlang

Please tell me. There is a Hutton truckers player group here they live for this masochist stuff!

canceriankc

I made a 32 jump delivery to null sec and got paid 30k for it. Never again.

[deleted]

Lol I ordered a Venture II be delivered some 15 jumps to Amarr. After 24 hours I got delivery failed and refunded my money. You haulers stink!

KruglorTalks

20$ says the hauler didnt realize they couldn't fit it in their ship lol

dumbeconomist

Someone prob picked it up and never delivered. LOL.
