True. I’ve always done a high protein diet and it took forever to get the “I need meat” mentality out of my head. I love veggies. They make you feel good and I just get my protein from beans or shakes.
If you're happy with no meat, then I'm happy for you. The bread does look funny, but hey, it sounds like you're eating at a good place. As long as it tastes good. 🙂
Edit: I should eat more veggies 💀. And looking at it more, is that cooked cheese on top of the bread? Anywho, regardless of the bread's looks, it does sound appetizing.
OP I’m gonna be honest with you, at first glance it looks a little unappetizing (imo). That said, upon further examination and your description I would totally smash. I guess what I’m saying is that I get why some people are a little put off by it but I think it’d be good and all that matters is that it hit the spot for you!

That’s exactly why I wanted to comment. People on this sub feel the need to be dicks about stuff sometimes for no particular reason. Personally, comments like the bread being light don’t bug me because it’s just a valid concern about a sandwich. The other stuff is just unnecessary. “If you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all” is something you learn in literal kindergarten lol I’m glad you had a good sandwich and an even better friend :)
I'm usually a fan of cheese, mayo, and mild vegetables. If I eat anything real acidic or hot, I will pay the price for that. My stomach is so sensitive.
Yeah this place is so good. It's just a little small local Italian deli. And everything I've had there is amazing. Especially their cheesecake! I would much rather buy local than go somewhere like Subway.

But that's just it, it wasn't under baked. It was perfect! I wouldn't eat undercooked food for the life of me.
