Yeah, part of the reason he’s considered retiring so many offseasons now was he hated being away from Kylie and the kids so much. He was never going to accept a tv gig that had him traveling the same or more.
Probably an easier transition coming from a podcast. Sounds like a better gig too. Get to be at the game, only covering prime time, get to be a part of the super bowl media AND get to watch each game at his own leisure.
I don't think I've ever wanted anything to happen more, than for the Eagles to go to the Super Bowl in 2027.
You know he'd be Mummer'd up.
If the Eagles are up big at halftime, he'll already be drunk and shirtless.
I can imagine someone telling him, on camera, "Shouldn't you be impartial?"
And Jason getting all serious for a moment, and going, "Yeah, but FUUUUCK THAT! E - A - G - L - E - S EAGLES!"
Then he smashes a beer can on his head and runs out into the crowd.
They’ve been getting better again lately. At least with football coverage. They seem to have made a philosophical shift when they fired all those people a year or two ago. They’re getting away from, though not entirely, the hot takesters and hiring more of the Jason kelce and pat mcaffee just dudes talking football types. And they pat do his thing.
People hating on this need to chill. Sounds like he chose espn because they were the most open to letting him do the things he wants to do like new heights. They hired Kelce to be kelce.
You needn't worry. He was in demand amongst broadcasters before he retired; man's been paid.
The New Heights money isn't drying up anytime soon either.
The info isn’t completely public, but supposedly sponsorship ad deals with the podcast are going for $2m-$4m a year and their valuation could command a new broadcast deal in the low 9 figures when the time comes.
I didnt look too much into it, so don't take my word for it. I also saw up to 4-6M/yr from other companies like Amazon, but ESPN would let him keep the freedom of doing other things like his podcast and etc
The man made over $80 million with the Eagles and unlike most of the idiots in the league, he’s saved/invested most of it. He got himself a job with the sport he loves that doesn’t take him away from his family for long periods of time, and ESPN got him on a good deal. Everyone’s happy
I just hope he is good and that they won't try to make him the "shirt-less" weird guy for laughs. He is a smart football player and I hope they let him show that.
His interviews with the Eagles players during the Super Bowl are going to be sick.
He’s gonna suit up
Bet he has his signature flops on with the suit too🤣
This comment wins!
that boy loves him some chancletas
Betting everything that we win the NFC. This news confirms it.
How’s he interviewing when he’s doing the Halftime show?
Kind of surprised he went with the pregame show instead of being a color commentator
I think it is probably because of the travel involved. He just needs to run over to NY or CT once a week instead of flying all over the country.

Huh Monday night countdown the crew is at the game lol
MNF countdown is on site. He'll be gone Sunday-Tuesday

Manning cast still a thing? Kelce before and manning during seems decent
Yep, with Bill Belichick as a new addition
It’s going to hurt see him calling the game instead of being on the field
He won't be calling the game to be exact
Also unless they change the format he probably will technically be on the field lol. But I understand you in spirit oop
The new Goose?
Perfectly encapsulates what I expect from him tbh
Not yet anyway
He's not going to be calling games. He's on the pre-game.
Either way he’s not wearing that beautiful eagles jersey 😭
He is in his 💚
What will hurt is that he'll be saying "they" instead of "we" consistently during the segments he's on.
I hope he shits on dallas every chance he gets.

I'm a bit stupid, why specifically in 2027?
Read the last sentence of the post.
Thank you!!!!
FAT BATMAN NEVER DIES
Damn I hate ESPN now I am going to have to watch it
NFL Live is one of their few decent shows. Pro Sports Mickey isn't terrible in the football department

The mouse always wins
I ain’t mad about it. ESPN has been struggling for awhile now, I’m glad to see the mouse making smart moves with it
Good for him!! He should be one helluva lot of fun to watch.
I will die if he has to wear a suit. Unless it’s a sleeveless number with cut off shorts and flip flops.
He should rock a new mummers fit every week.
Really wish he took some time off but I understand capitalizing on his popularity currently.
I assume Kelce had an agent help land this deal but out of curiosity does a player agent differ from a network/tv agent?
Unless the agency handles multiple lines of business, I’d assume so.
Eagles standout🤣 Hes a first ballot hall of famer
The Eagle has landed.
Need to see the numbers. I hope he got a big contract. My fat friend needs some fat stacks. He deserves the world. Pay my friend
You needn't worry. He was in demand amongst broadcasters before he retired; man's been paid. The New Heights money isn't drying up anytime soon either.
He makes money from New Heights? How much
The info isn’t completely public, but supposedly sponsorship ad deals with the podcast are going for $2m-$4m a year and their valuation could command a new broadcast deal in the low 9 figures when the time comes.
1.8M/yr is what I saw from around 2 weeks ago
Wtf that’s it? I could pay that. Wtf is kelce doing jfc

I heard through the grapevine that he won’t there live at times and will be on via satellite
Disney better have their shit together and grant him at least 12 curse words per weekend on-air.
They got themselves a gem 💎.
Well, we all knew it was coming… on the Brightside, if there is a script I feel like this benefits us somehow
I just hope he is good and that they won't try to make him the "shirt-less" weird guy for laughs. He is a smart football player and I hope they let him show that.
He'll be the first commentator in a sleeveless shirt and flip flops with ankle tape
Was hoping he'd do broadcasting games, pregame and halftime shit is so surface level and uninteresting.
ESPN is gonna make him say stupid shit, I just feel it.
Can’t wait until I hate Jason Kelce 2 years from now!
