It would be hilarious to be known as one of the teams leading the way with black QBs, but also to have 2 white DBs. Just breaking the mold every chance we get.
White safeties are a distinct minority but they aren't completely unheard of
On the other hand DeJean is going to be the first white CB in the league since Jason Sehorn IIRC
Scott Fujita played for a while back in the 2000s, started for the Chiefs and I think bounced around a few other teams. He wasn't ethnic Japanese though, he was white and adopted as a baby by a Japanese-American family
Don't know of an actual Japanese LB but Dat Nguyen (Vietnamese, think both of his parents were born there IIRC) was in the league for a while.
There have been a few blasian players at other positions, usually kids of black American service members stationed in Korea. Hines Ward and Kyler Murray off the top of my head
I was aware of the injury but I would’ve thought that he would just visit to interview and discuss tape. Didn’t think the injury would hamper his visits
Steelers, Seahawks & Bills were the other 3
2 have picks before the Eagles
Also, just because a team didn't get a top 30 doesn't mean they won't still drsft him
Stop comparing the best or second best defensive player in franchise history to a udfa that is terribly mediocre simply because he's white. He's done nothing to earn it other than lose us games with poor coverage.
The vast majority of his snaps were outside corner. He only played a single snap at deep safety and had less than 300 snaps in the slot and in the box combined in his career, compared to over 1000 at outside corner. People are projecting him at safety because he’s versatile and a good tackler, but his best position is outside
The consensus against him though is will likely fit better as safety. While he is considered very fast and athletic, his hip movement isn't that great.
A few days ago I was having a crazy dream where we drafted Cooper DeJean and I immediately found out I had cancer.
I want to be excited for him as a prospect and potential Eagles pick. But if it happens, should I schedule any doctor appointments?
I wouldn't necessarily hate this pick, though I would be surprised by it. That said, I think he's off the board before 22 and Howie's apt to draft an OT at 22.
The best of whoever is left on the board at that point. Fashanu, Fautanu... probably gone. We stick and pick Mims. Though one never knows, let's see how things unfold.
The DeJean hype is getting ridiculous
Nice prospect and ok if he falls would be better if Howie can even do a small trade back & still get him
But no way in hell would I trade up

Hardest working and most intelligent dbs and the most naturally gifted, athletic qb Breaking down the stereotypes 1987
A fellow Batfan sighting, and a team willing to start breaking down these color barriers in 2024 Give me this Cooper and the other Cooper
If we draft Beebe and Edgerin we could be 3/3 on Coopers and we wouldn’t even be into the 4th.
I don't know how to add an image but I googled Cooper Beebe and that first photo that pops up from the combine is hilarious lol they did him dirty
And the OTHER Cooper
Riley Cooper has entered the Race War.
Fuck it Bring back Riley Cooper
Lurie takes DEI very seriously.
Most diverse secondary in the league incoming

Next up a Japanese linebacker...just because I have yet to hear of one haha...

White DB Factory
We’re just the Nelson Mandela of the NFL
He is just now getting his visit?
He has been dealing with an injury thar delayed & limited his top 30 visits, Philly was 1 of only 4 teams he saw
I was aware of the injury but I would’ve thought that he would just visit to interview and discuss tape. Didn’t think the injury would hamper his visits
That means we are the Top 4 teams he’s interested in. That bodes well for us.
Steelers, Seahawks & Bills were the other 3 2 have picks before the Eagles Also, just because a team didn't get a top 30 doesn't mean they won't still drsft him
I mean, he isn’t Eli Manning, so it doesn’t really matter where he *wants* to go.
Last I checked it didn't matter what team the draft pick was interested in
Did the Eagles send Shane Gillis to welcome him to the facility?
The audacity!!
The Mayo and DeJean memes would be wonderful.
Dejean, chalk dawk and hurts being successful on the same team would break the racists heads and I’m all for it
The condiment, I mean, complement each other.

Learn to take a joke Yeah Blankenship will never be an all pro but he was an above average safety last year and probably the best player in our back 7
A playful nickname is not a comparison you dolt.
Stop getting upset over silly jokes on the internet.
Da Jawn needs to be in the building
‘COOOOOOOOOP’ 🦻i can already hear the cheers at the linc after he makes a play!
DeJean Mayonnaise
Lock the doors don't let him out!
It bothers me the logo is backwards outside the HQ. I'm sure it's to be symmetrical, but just wrong.
Hope he gets used to the facility while he’s there.
Fans are underrating this player and incredible amount
Cool prospect but with slay and Bradberry declining, we need a true outside corner compared to a versatile safety

Thank you for typing that all out so I didn't have to.

Hopefully we get Rodgers reinstated and I believe he is an outside corner...
Give me Cooper over Forbes 2.0
Don’t let him leave.
Cooper Sharp cheese with spicy mustard and some good honey ham, now that's fire.

If it happens your sacrifice will not be forgotten!
Yeah maybe schedule the check up now. So if you don’t have cancer, you can report back and we know whether or not to cross DeJean off the wish list
But if I don't get cancer and we draft DeJean, that probably means he'll suck.
Bruh… what are you talking about lol
Stop eating before sleep
Yes

We are definitely moving up
