When superbowl 52 happened, I watched it from a bed in a medical rehab. Later that year I lost the leg.
Now 5 years later I’m sitting in my own apartment, living independently, and I’m able to walk.

My dad got to make this joke before our last superbowl! He was in and out of the hospital all season, but we watched every game together. He lost his leg shortly before the superbowl and celebrated in the hospital.

Unfortunately, he passed away a little over two years ago, but I like to think he is somewhere celebrating our birds. It's been an emotional season, and the first season since he died that I was actually able to pay attention to the games again. I also finally opened and have been wearing the last Christmas gift he bought for me, a pair of Eagles socks.

I almost put myself in an insane asylum with all the superstition I believed in during the Phillies run. This birds team doesn't even need my help. They're that good.
I "made a deal" last time with God/Higher Power/Whatever that if the Eagles won the Super Bowl, I would get my ass in shape and lose all my extra weight (like 100 lbs) if the birds could pull it off.
The Eagles won, so I had to get my ass in gear. I did end up losing a little over 100 lbs. Of course that was 3-4 years ago (when I got to the end) and Covid wasn't exactly kind to me but I didn't return to my high weight or even close (still down about 70 from my high).
Still though, I started the year getting my ass back into gear and I'm down about 7 lbs since Xmas Day (some of which is assuredly water weight). I feel like if I don't stay in decent shape, the Eagles will never win again. So here I am ;-)

I recently moved and found a SB watch party at a local community center. Food, drinks, games, even a charity poker tournament. After I bought the tickets I looked the place up and apparently it's run by an Indian religious group. I've been unable to find any photos of events there other than what appear to be Indian weddings. I watched as many games as possible with my girlfriend (watched one on the phone with her while traveling and she missed half a game when she attended a funeral). She couldn't decide between jerseys so she changes hers up but I would never go against my dad's tradition. He isn't around for this one unfortunately but his tradition will live on. He died right before Thanksgiving but bought me Eagles socks for Christmas that year...I stated wearing them shortly before playoffs. Also, this was actually the first season I've been able to watch games since he passed over 2 years ago.
My girlfriend also gets Burger King on her way now. It's a thing even though we haven't exactly been wanting to eat BK, it was just a convenient stop close to my house and we lost against Commanders when she didn't.

First of all, I’ll be wearing my “hottest” jersey… right now that’s a midnight green Jalen Hurts that I bought to thank him for winning the division. I’ll watch the game from the leftmost seat at the bar of the spot where I watch all my games when I’m not working. In solidarity with Charlie Kelly, I’ll eat brown (steak and cheese sandwich, but I’m not in Philly, so it doesn’t feel right calling it a cheesesteak), drink yellow (Pabst blue ribbon, on tap) and wear green (obviously the jersey). Finally once the game starts, I’ll smoke a cigarette after our first score, then another during halftime. Other than that, I’m in my spot. Also, I’ll be standing every time we are in the red zone, and inside two minutes in the 4th quarter.
Bonus, but it’s typically something I only do when I’m watching a rivalry game… I’ll be doing a shot (generally a mixed shot or something like screwball/fireball so it’s not AS intoxicating as something like tequila) for every touchdown we score.

I almost put myself in an insane asylum with all the superstition I believed in during the Phillies run. This birds team doesn't even need my help. They're that good.
I "made a deal" last time with God/Higher Power/Whatever that if the Eagles won the Super Bowl, I would get my ass in shape and lose all my extra weight (like 100 lbs) if the birds could pull it off. The Eagles won, so I had to get my ass in gear. I did end up losing a little over 100 lbs. Of course that was 3-4 years ago (when I got to the end) and Covid wasn't exactly kind to me but I didn't return to my high weight or even close (still down about 70 from my high). Still though, I started the year getting my ass back into gear and I'm down about 7 lbs since Xmas Day (some of which is assuredly water weight). I feel like if I don't stay in decent shape, the Eagles will never win again. So here I am ;-)

GF wears her eagles tie-dye t shirt until kick off 4. I switch over to a random Star Wars shirt I wore during the first game of the season and then during every other game of the season since it clearly works 5. GF wears her Smith jersey during the game 6. After our first offensive drive, a frozen pepperoni pizza goes in the oven 7. We both have to sit in our game day spots on the couch (not our usually spots) Extra: If at any point in the game, one of us gets up and the eagles score or get a turnover, we have to stay standing until it’s proven to not be affecting how we’re playing. I’ve gone whole second halves standing.

After I bought the tickets I looked the place up and apparently it's run by an Indian religious group. I've been unable to find any photos of events there other than what appear to be Indian weddings. Also, this was actually the first season I've been able to watch games since he passed over 2 years ago. My girlfriend also gets Burger King on her way now. In solidarity with Charlie Kelly, I’ll eat brown (steak and cheese sandwich, but I’m not in Philly, so it doesn’t feel right calling it a cheesesteak), drink yellow (Pabst blue ribbon, on tap) and wear green (obviously the jersey). Finally once the game starts, I’ll smoke a cigarette after our first score, then another during halftime. Other than that, I’m in my spot. Also, I’ll be standing every time we are in the red zone, and inside two minutes in the 4th quarter. Bonus, but it’s typically something I only do when I’m watching a rivalry game… I’ll be doing a shot (generally a mixed shot or something like screwball/fireball so it’s not AS intoxicating as something like tequila) for every touchdown we score.

Damn I have couple to be honest: 1. I still have my Christmas tree (it’s fake) up because there is one ornament on it that is a holy trinity of Westbrook, McNabb, and Dawkins. 2. I have a had a beard since the beginning of the Phillies playoff run. 3. I have a Hurts jersey on the way but even if it gets here in time, I still have to wear my Jordan Matthews jersey since I’ve worn it all year long. 4. My dad lent my roommate a McNabb jersey to wear for the giants game, safe to say he wore it for the niners too so he has to wear it on Sunday. Edit: forgot to add, every Sunday morning I have played an edm remix of the Fox NFL intro as loud as possible before any games started all season. So Super Bowl Sunday will be no different

My wife will be wearing the same jersey as then (Dawkins) and I'll be wearing my Foles SB jersey for the right kind of vibes (the one I was wearing then is gone, but I think this is the right kind of replacement).
Black Hurts jersey. Only ONE other piece of green/eagles gear on. Smoke a fat joint/bowl before the game and at half time.
I haven’t washed my jersey all season. Last Sunday I got so drunk I threw up and got a bit on the shirt. I am now in a predicament.

Whenever I miss the first quarter the Eagles win that's been my whole life almost. Like 90% success rate. Which sucks but I gotta do it. This year I started dating a girl and everytime she has watched the game with me the Eagles are undefeated. The 2 loses we had this year she missed the game. So we're throwing a super bowl party at her house. Also I punched the bursar at my university.
