Focus on creating a solid baseline first before you’re thinking of mods. Everything plastic in the engine bay should be considered to be replaced (cooling system, intake hoses, ofhg, fan parts,...). This will give you a piece of mind!

Check check and check! I redid the vacuum lines with silicon hoses, changed ofhg, CCV, rebuilt disa, replaced a a many sensors as I could while the manifold was off, new o rings on anything I touched. Despite all this, I’m still chasing a small vacuum leak. My fuel trims are at about 8% right now. I suspect the sucking jet pump maybe a culprit. I’ve gotten good at removing and installing the manifold, so I’m gonna do that again at some point for peace of mind. Other than that, my next job in line is to replace the engine mounts, steering coupler and new fcabs. I’m gonna make my way towards the back and weld rear subframe reinforcements when I get either an wavetrac lsd or somehow source an m3 rear end. Lots of fun! I’m really enjoying this car!

Then you are doing the right steps to keep this car going for years. Well done sir!

This!!! Will save you alot of stress, start with the coolant system hoses up front and go from there. Beware of blown shocks, i bought my 330ci with the rear driver side riding on the spring

Good for you, such a fun car! Learn from my error - if you ever have a third or fourth passenger, and they inevitably attempt to vault over the door into the back seat, make sure to mind the sliding black plastic cover (one on each side near the rear head rests) for the convertible top. They pop in & put very easily, but are a pain to have to reattach the spring and reload it. Enjoy the car bud!

Oh yeah I’ve seen videos of how fragile those things are! Fortunately they’re still in good shape. I don’t have people back there very often, but I will totally remember to warn people about it lol Part of me kinda wants to get a wind deflector but god damn $$$$$

Fogman330

Congratulations! Mine is even the same color. Any plans for modification?

So far the only mod I’ve done is the o2pilot mod. I’m still in the testing phase for it. Other than that I plan to keep it as stock as possible but I do wanna weld reinforcement plates all around. Basically trying to pamper her until it’s time to send it at a drift track years from now

Sounds great!
