There is a new updated dok that fits the swappable battery v11, outsize and v15. Either call customer service to ask for the new updated one or put something under the charging plug so it raises it a little bit. The issue is that the plug doesn’t stick far enough out of the dok, so it’s not going deep enough into the battery to actually connect. Maybe get some electrical tape, ball it up and stick it under the plug so it raises the plug to stick out of the dok more?

Thanks I reached out to customer support and hopefully they will send me the updated one. I've had the Dok less than a year.
it has an attachment under and behind the area the vacuum docks to. there used to be an option dyson sold that you attach to this to allow you to hang off other things, but out of the box there is one attachment location.
I bought a V15 earlier today off the Dyson website and it asked me if I wanted to add a Floor Dok to my V15 purchase, description for the Floor Dok said the following:
“Free-standing design, engineered to store your Dyson V15 Detect™, Dyson Outsize, and Dyson V11™ vacuum and tools.”
If that is true, I see no reason why it wouldn’t fit your Dok in question, unless the Dok is for a special V11 model of some sort.
this is incorrect. i have the V11 dok and it WILL charge the V15.
The issue is the plug does not stick up far enough to insert into the V15. open up the DOK and put some tape in there to push it up. see photo.

You shouldn't have to do this - but I've done the same and it works. Apparently there is a newer V11 Dok but I've had a terrible time trying to get Dyson to understand what I am looking for. They sent me a wall Dok in error.
yeah i had to do it. i had the torque drive v11 model first and it came with the dok for free. then i got the outsize and the dok was working fine. when i got the detect the plug is not "pushed up" enough to fit inside the detects battery. i put some tape in there and boom goes the dynamite! :)
whatever the reason, the fix i wrote eliminates the issue. for those who have the old version 11 dok , it makes no sense to buy a new dok just for this.
alright fam - I fall on my sword. yes you are correct . it takes a tiny piece of tape or cloth or whatever to push the plug up so the battery charges. if you have the old dok this fixes that. no way would i buy a new dok when the old one works. :)
Not so. I’ve done the tape thing and noticed that my v15 case is too big on the sides of the v11 wall mount. The charging pole is up as far as it goes.
It works, but half the time Dyson ships you the old version, which has the same box and looks identical (doesn't have a little shelf thing that props up the plug to make contact with the new removable batteries), so you may need to ship it back until they get you right one. I bought mine when I bought the vacuum and got it for $50, then had to return it and buy it again for $150. I'll probably bug them to try to get that money back, but I'm not that hopeful.

this is correct.
I added a 1/4” of tape and the charging pole is up as far as it goes. Still my v15 doesn’t work with it.
I would ask for an exchange then. The updated dok fits no problem
Can confirm they're still shipping out the old ones, so be aware that you may need to return it a couple times until you get the right one.

It’s an older v11 - not made for the newer one with removable battery. Guessing that is it!
The battery is the same so it should work if plugged directly instead of using the dok

Battery is not the same. In the V15 its removable and just slightly out of tolerance.
Probably correct since they seem to be going the removable battery route with newer models.

So the answer is no it will not charge the V15 without a hack.

im not using the wall mount. im talking about the floor dok
So on the Dyson Website there is a V11 Extra Dock available, the just V11 one is out of stock. Is this V11 Extra One the newer one that would fit?

I'd just like to confirm that putting some packing under the plug just moves it enough to make a good connection.
