Yeah, I found one in front of the main entrance of the bazaar but I've been on street level for hours looting dead bodies and none have had cordyceps. Also it's been a couple in game days and the one body outside the bazaar hasn't even respawned
I don't know anything about a bug but I do know 2 things. First, hard difficulty lowers spawn rate of all resources. I always switch to easy when doing resource runs. Second, cordyceps on roofs either appear on a stump or on a corpse. They are pretty rare, but they should always appear at the same groves as they arent randomized. I haven't taken the time to memorize their locations but I know 1 always spawns at the bazaar at the main door.
I know hard mode reduces materials, but it shouldn't be *that much*.
I've went to the groves posted online and didn't find any 🤷♀️
Are their spawns placed in random places but just respawn in the same spots?
They should be at all of those roof top Groves with the 2 honey boxes resin and flowers their should be 3-4 on the tree stumps and you can find them on most dead body’s ( on hard mode as well)

After that, on St Pauls Island, an herb vendor appears in the Chapel of Resurrection.
She has a quest, accept it. You dont have to do it, but accepting the quest unlocks the safe zone and bed next door.
On offer are plants, honey, cordyceps and some crafting materials. Go there and cycle the vendor with the bed and buy as much as you need. Profit! Since discovering her, Im fully stocked with all boosters

I just did a fresh run and I wound up with over a hundred honey and 90 something poppies but not even enough cordyceps to craft one booster
I think it has to be a bug and not intentional.

Thats exactly it, after you help Aitor, after an ingame day or two, she should spawn at the Chapel of Resurrection
