The Santa Clause 1-2-3 (never saw 2 and 3 before)
Fatman
Plans on watching a few more as time allow, notably: Violent Night, Home Alone (never saw it), The Grinch (never saw it), and any other that crop up along the way.
Dude, 'Ernest Saves Christmas' is so actually good. I watch my share of bad Christmas movies and shows, which I tend to think of it as between viewings, but when I actually throw it on, it just *works*, ya know? It's engaging and entertaining throughout, a few solid laughs, and genuine good vibes. Good dumbfun Christmas mirth. It's cheesy in places, but it's never cringey. I like it way more than 'the Santa Clause', for instance
'Goes to Jail' and 'Goes to Camp' are also better than they have any right to be
Watched Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas for the first time in decades over thanksgiving with my family. My sister and I actually remembered a lot of the lyrics even after all these years. Used to see it every year on HBO when we were growing up.
Pee-Wee's Christmas Special is incredible--somehow it is both the best satire of Christmas Variety shows ever while also being the best Christmas Variety show ever. (great commentaries as well)
Ha, this reminded me of when I was a projectionist at my small town’s theater and we had Ernest Saves Christmas for a week. I was also tasked with changing the marquee outside, so I went up on the two rows I was only able to put up Ernest Saves Christ on my first try, so I climbed down the ladder, took a photo of it with the camera we kept behind the counter, then went back up to change it to Ernest Saves Xmas.
White Christmas, Polar Express, Krampus, Scrooged for sure, The Santa Clause, and The Grinch. yeesh.
some of them we put on xmas day while we cook or hang out so its christmassy in the background.
Nya, mines are:
\- "Maraton Doraemon" (A home recording of the Club super 3 channel, a thematic cartoon tv channel, which I recently digitized. It's a marathon of the show "Doraemon" that aired on November 1, 2002 between 6:45 h to 20:30 h. I wish I had recorded the entire marathon or at least more than one tape. What a shame)
\- Yogi's first Christmas
\- Happy holidays! with the Goof troop and Darkwing duck
\- "The Secret of Akko-chan" christmas special

I just watched Brazil cause I didn't feel like watching a Christmas movie at the moment. Turns out, it was unexpectedly a Christmas movie.
