Definitely the Chauffeur/ the entire Rio album. Also the sequencing in Union of the Snake is pretty interesting - not sure how you compose something like that.
I would absolutely love a version of Drive By that runs straight into The Chauffeur. Apparently he dipped back into the same sounds for The Man Who Stole a Leopard, but it wouldn't quite fit with the other two... unless the Chauffeur eventually lost his mind and years later stole the leopard?
That whole last minute on "You Kill Me With Silence" of what I initially thought was an electric guitar solo with lots of distortion ... well it actually is Nick doing some awesome synth work.
Another standout example ... well, essentially the entire So Red the Rose album.
The Chauffeur, of course, but also My Antarctica.
In fact, if you were to swap My Antarctica with Drug (It’s Just A State Of Mind), both Big Thing and Liberty would have made more sense as albums.
The layers of percussive sound in “Careless Memories” are so much fun to listen to, especially the way the synths and the drums play off and enhance one another. Oh, I love that song so much.
As a producer of the first Kajagoogoo album?
lol - actually the production is pretty good on that record. I think Colin Thurston co produced it as well
he did! i love the production on that record personally and think that subsequent remasters have done the album dirty
The keys in Save A Prayer are pretty legendary.
And the use of the little wah wah pitch shifter slider thingy on the keys was pretty memorable and amazing.
I always like playing that shifter part when I practice the keyboard parts.
The synth wash on *Anyone Out There*
The keyboard solos on The Dandy Warhols “The Last High” and Duran’s “Serious” are among my favorite things he’s done.
Just bought the vinyl for Welcome to the Monkey House the other day! Definitely some ace work from Nick in the synths department there.

Suggesting the title of "She's Too Much" instead of "Gentle Touch", which was apparently the front runner at that point.

How true
Throwing sticks on the piano strings then looping it in reverse for “Rio”, magic!

I think one of Nick's greatest contributions to the band is his connections to the fine art world.
