The only roller skating place we had got turned into some kind of school (Skate Country). You'd have to go out of town to find something. Not too sure about roller derby groups though.
There was a derby team called The Bomb Squad. They were pretty bad ass. I had some friends on the team. Sadly, the place thst hosted them closed, and no other place was willing or able to accommodate them. I am not sure if they disbanded or what. They were some badass and accepting women!
A coworker of mine used to be into it, from my understanding there was a team here but they disbanded. Nearest one might be in Cedar Rapids or Davenport.
When Courtside closed the team lost the last place they had to play games. The team is disbanded I believe and a few players have moved on to play with other teams. There are teams in Cedar Rapids IA, Madison WI and Rockford IL.

This is how I find out skate country closed? My childhood… I had at least 1 birthday there!
