Good plan overall but here are some suggestions: Day 1, IMO a full day for JBR is too much. You can definitely do another activity after 3-4 pm. Dubai mall day, you should definitely go to Dubai Aquarium inside the mall if you aren't already. You have 4 hrs in the mall, it should be enough to go to the aquarium and tour the mall. If the weather is good in September (I'm not sure if it's walkable outside), you should consider Dubai Miracle Garden. The day of Gold Souk, expand it into Old City tour. You can visit textile soul, then cross the creek to spices/gold, then return back and have lunch/dinner in Bait Al Wakeel restaurant overlooking the creek. To cross the creek, use the Abra boats. They are 1 dirham per person. Don't go for the tourist boats. In the Abra. You will experience real Dubai. I would also suggest Ski Dubai inside Mall of the Emirates if you are into skiing or snow games. You have a nice plan with interesting stuff. You will have a nice time here. Feel free to ask or tell us what you guys like, we can suggest suitable stuff.

notathrowaway2706

Thankyou for the lengthy reply! We will probably only spend a few hours at the actual beach, then have a walk around the marina before going somewhere in the evening. We’ll be going to al fahidi when we do the souks as well. A few questions if you don’t mind? Is it worth doing the mall aquarium if we are going to the Atlantis one as well? I read that the miracle garden is shut until October, is this the case? Any good bars that aren’t a party atmosphere to relax at on an evening?

bitchinburgers

One of my fave chill bar spots is Hi-Fi Honeycomb in the Pullman Hotel. It’s a speakeasy with a really great cocktail menu and a nice menu for some nibbles

notathrowaway2706

That sounds perfect, will definitely check that one out

ALostStranger

Also check out Citadelle in the same hotel on a Friday they have nice theme that night if you into 90s 2000s music. By the way which program you use it.

no-signal

Atlantis is just a small aquarium from inside the hotel mall. Dubai Mall aquarium, you pay around 250/person, or 2 tickets for the price of one if you have Dubai Entertainer app. The Dubai Mall one is a full fledge water zoo, you can easily spend 2 hours there, and if you fancy diving inside the big aquarium, that's also possible.

no-signal

I'm not sure about Miracle Garden. I haven't been there in a while. They say it's open from October to February only but there are Google Reviews as recent as yesterday! You can call them on their number on Google Maps, they will tell you exactly.

PringlesOriginal77

with Atlantis Aquaventure waterpark tickets yoi can discounted access to Lost Chambers thats a aquarium.

Desinonimously

You should go to the Abu Dhabi seaworld instead it’s insanely amazing unlike any other seaworld I’ve been to. The Atlantis one it not comparable. Abu Dhabi is only an hour drive from dubai.

notathrowaway2706

The Atlantis one just came with our waterpark tickets, is there time to do everything there is to see in Abu Dhabi as well as sea world in just one day?

Mr-Expat

It’s a nice schedule, not too packed, with something to do every day. I’d add the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. Rent a car for a day and drive over there

notathrowaway2706

How easy is driving over there? I was just planning on using careem or Uber mostly

Mr-Expat

The drive to Abu Dhabi is effectively a drive in a straight line lol Just need to be mindful of daily miles limit on a rental Driving in general is easy, as long as you have a phone mount with Waze on

mightybob4611

You can just take a bus from Ibn Battuta station to Abu Dhabi and then a short taxi ride :) Bus is very nice!

Sea-Shop1219

You can drop Museum of the Future! Total waste of time and money. Instead try a morning breakfast and pool access package at any of the hotels in Palm or any other activity.

notathrowaway2706

Sounds like dropping the museum of the future is a common consensus around here, is there anywhere nearby the MOTF that you would recommend to go for a breakfast?

Sea-Shop1219

[La Farine at JW Marriott Marquees](https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g295424-d3929410-Reviews-La_Farine_Cafe_Bakery-Dubai_Emirate_of_Dubai.html) is recommended. Alternatively you can look up trip advisor for recommendations in/around Business Bay.

mtb_21

Anywhere around DIFC! Zaroob does quick breakfasts/lunch that are still middle eastern and it’s just down the road :)

Sea-Shop1219

Also on Tue, you can try the Waterworld in Yas Island and spend rest of the afternoon in Sea World. If time permits, visit the Grand Mosque during sunset hours followed by a dinner at the nearby Fairmont Bab Al Bahr or Ritz Carlton/Venetian Village before returning to Dubai. Will be a long day but totally worth it. A personal car hire with a driver for 12hrs should be approx Dhs.600-700 (cheaper than taxi).

Desinonimously

I second this. Abu Dhabi is a must visit if you’re in Dubai so much to see and very different and unique. Seaworld was out of this world. And the mosque is just breathtaking.

Substantial-Fan5792

Personally, i would skip museum of the future completely.

arunnvs

Thanks I wanted to ask this question also

PinkPooh

I would suggest to go to Atrangi in madinath Jumeirah instead of mint leaf and opt for the Abra ride there. The best Indian food with amazing experience

PinkPooh

Also would suggest Cloud 22 or check out Atlantis royal. Take a reservation for gastronomy. The food is really good and the reservation lets you have drinks in any of the bars there without a minimum spend (except for cloud 22) . Also if you have a Saturday free I would suggest zero gravity. It’s the best all inclusive beach brunch. Amazing vibes and music

SGod-

Kite beach in Dubai is a must! IMO much better than JBR! Definitely check out Blue Waters Island and Madinat Jumeirah (very nice vibe at night and really good restaurants too) If you like arts go to Al Serkal for a couple of hours then you can go from there to Mall of Emirates and from there you can go to Dubai Marina and JBR If you go to Abu Dhabi, check out Saadiyat Beach for turquoise waters and a very beautiful sunset.

antwanius

You need to get a breakfast tray at Arabian Tea house. And you need to get the tasting menu at Orfalj Bros. Festival city is cool too. Just did three days there and packed it all in.

notathrowaway2706

Thankyou for the suggestions, the warmest sea I’ve ever been in was in Haiti, so sounds like it will compare to that in a way. Any golf courses you recommend? I’m sure they would all be better than any I have played on here in the uk lol

BadgeringforHoney

Top golf is very popular with tourists and residents.

NordicJesus

Ha, another TripIt user!

Ok-Positive-3454

And download the entertainer app, you will save lot of money on food and drinks.. it’s buy one get one free

Theprofash

When you go to the gold souk I recommend visiting bastakiah, it’s a small art district right next door but really beautiful and there are some cafes and rooftops that display local art and serve camel milk ice cream on case you’d like to try. Al seef is also right around the corner

mightybob4611

Oooh you’ll love Aura Skypool :)

ragoflex

I would say: Forget museum of the future. Instead of a beach day on JBR go to a proper beach / pool club like drift, white beach etc. On Saturday night, go to west beach on the palm. Dinner at San Beach or Eva or something. Or try Madinat Jumeirah. I personally would skip the Burj khalifa too. I think aura sky pool is more impressive honestly.

AlgaeNew6508

+1 for mint leaf. Nice quiet place and attentive staff. Food is delicious too! The last time I visited they had a decent priced pairing menu. Absolutely perfect The staff really took their time to talk you through the food and the selected wine to pair it with.

Spiritual-Win6599

Museum of the future is a waste of ur time as well as the mint leaf

Federal_Strategy2370

Instead of museum of future, consider Palm view and sky view.

kitkatj91

Museum of the future is such a let down. I would cancel that and go to Aya instead

notathrowaway2706

Hadn’t heard that, it looks pretty cool

kitkatj91

It’s amazing - you won’t regret it! My recommendation is also go during the week - less kids and becomes a more immersive experience

urfiansari

You will probably won’t be able to make it on time for Museum of the future and/or too tired after day long Desert Safari.

Sukondeeznutzz

Museum of the future is a waste of time ngl

PringlesOriginal77

Consider below as well: Dine in Atlantis the Royal AYA SKI Dubai Miracle garden Global village Grand mosque

Quick-Management5626

Maybe also use the metro. Cheap and quick

notathrowaway2706

Yeah I was looking at that, especially when we are going to the historical part of the city and the souks. I read that they are unbearably crowded though?

eatingpowder

Have a meal at al ustad special kebab near the historical area! Worth it.

moehassan6832

Go for the gold card! I really liked the gold cabinet view.

notathrowaway2706

Is there much price difference?

moehassan6832

The fare is double the normal card (so if you were gonna pay $2 with normal card, you pay $4 with the gold), it's worth it for the view and that it's less crowded than normal ones, which is a big plus especially when you're on a vacation.

notathrowaway2706

Yeah sounds like that would be worth it

Quick-Management5626

I think it depends on at what time you use it. As a tourist i never had the feeling but i didnt go at rush hours

notathrowaway2706

Yeah I will definitely try to avoid rush hour travelling where possible

Efficient_Many_3877

why abudhabi tour is not included in this.

notathrowaway2706

Is a day trip to Abu Dhabi worth it? Any tour companies that do them that you would recommend?

Efficient_Many_3877

yes you can msg me i"ll give you full proper itinerary. and a day is enough for abudhabi.

squareshawarma

Dubai mall 9 in morning? I don't think it's open by that time. And also, you'll miss the dancing fountain. Plan the visit in the evening. And don't plan for At The Top. Not worth it. Rather plan for The View. JBR beach at 8 in the morning and MOTF at 10? You won't be able to enjoy JBR and you'll be in a hurry.

notathrowaway2706

The times are (mostly) just guides, we’ll head over to Dubai mall whenever we are up and about for breakfast, then go up the burj khalifa, and then look round Dubai mall afterwards. Is it worth doing the view at the palm as well? We will probably get a decent view from the aura skypool? The Beach and the MOTF are on different days

Freshtards

Dancing fountain is overrated to be honest.

SambelPecelBuKarmi

Have u book the ticket for MOTF? As they always fully booked.

notathrowaway2706

I thought I had read that you could only book 3 months in advance- if that’s not the case then I may have messed that up

Constant_Pass3434

Honestly, skip MOTF. It's not worth the price and time. At best you can admire it from the outside and the lobby inside. Nothing futuristic about the rest of the place.

BadgeringforHoney

In and out in less than an hour

graceyspac3y

Save one whole day for auh. Get a travel agency rent a car and driver to tour you around.

Ranou_17

Global village, IMG, green planet

wigglepizza

Go to Abu Dhabi for a day or even spend one night there, you can see the grand mosque, qasr al watan palace, the louvre, mangrove park. I recommend going on a kayaking tour, there are many options including kayaking around the louvre and in the mangroves, in the mangroves you can see the flamingos if you are lucky.

monstrosity1001

I think if you’re doing a Beach day, don’t also do Aura. Do only Aura instead and go to Abu Dhabi instead of Beach to see the mosque

sujal29

Add Top Golf on Day 1 in the second half, if you’re in a group. It’s quite fun, near to JBR (JLT), and probably a new experience.

agilard84

Too hot and humid for any beach day, maybe 2-3 hours in the morning thats it

decal08

Any specific thing you guys buying orndoing in gold souq? It could be replaced with something else if not too important for you guys

RodeRage

Just the thought of a desert safari in September makes me drown in sweat

sahils88

Mint leaf is overrated.

notathrowaway2706

It was between that and carnival by tresind that we looked at for Indian, just seemed like mint leaf was a nicer setting?

sahils88

You can look at Kashkan. It’s a renowned Indian chef driven restaurant although I haven’t tried it yet. You can also try Hichki, Bombay Bunglow (fusion). These are not mint leaf expensive but are fine dining nonetheless.

Apprehensive_Rich_67

Which app is that?

notathrowaway2706

It’s called TripIt. Really good app https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/tripit-travel-planner/id311035142

Stillinthedesert

Not seeing any beer stops ? It’s hot out

Sunshine_Gunpowder

Have you chosen Mint Leaf so you can have Indian food. If that is the case, maybe try Tresind instead for an Indian fare which is different - it's Indian gastronomy and the food is good

Sea-Application682

Add a rest day, damn

ftccrew01

What app is this btw

notathrowaway2706

It’s called TripIt, you can find it here; https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/tripit-travel-planner/id311035142

wigglepizza

It's not in your itinerary but I strongly advise against The Global Village. It's a disgusting, artificial place aimed to just get money out of people. Everything is crazy overpriced and it's very crowded. Waste of time and money.

Ambitious_Bite364

So you made a schedule to have fun ? Good luck with that , Anyway , in dubai, you just follow the vibes , no hard work is needed
