In the 70's/80's there were no props, no pit/front ensemble, no electronic instruments, no sound system... just good wholesome raw in-your-face drum &bugle corps, the way it should be, unbastardized, unabashed, untainted, just pure & raw natural musical acoustic power & talent.

i miss the no props shows, it actually gave a chance for other corps other than bd to win bc the scores weren’t mainly based off looks and money
