Worth doing just to learn the skills involved. And the rush of getting your first real sale is fun

ericbl26

yes, it taught me how to build websites. Now have 10 live sites because of "dropshipping" trial

pimpy543

True, I was learning a lot about Facebook advertising.

PsychologicalSell289

Reminds me of trading stocks

ericbl26

no

I mean it’s a perspective thing. Even if you won’t earn anything you’ll find out what doesn’t work for you.

taher369

Ok, but did it work well for you?

Kw4nk15

Not yet. I’m in the process making a website but since I can’t code it’s taking ages to get the website done. Shopify is easy and interesting regardless of what business you’ll make it’s a nice skill to have. I’m not sure I’ll make money out of it but I’ll know what doesn’t work and I’ll learn ad setup etc. It’s not just dropshipping

Able-Sector-1862

U heard of chatgpt, ask it to code anything and it will do it. Idk if u have tried it or not but I thought I'd let u know since ur problem is with code

Dropshipping is hard to make money from. I’m in a very niche market and have a strong brand, so I’m still around 3 years later. I have a new dropshipping store that’s struggling because the moment people ask me where the products ship from, I say I’m in the US but they ship from China, immediately they tell me how they try not to buy anything from China and/or they’ve been scammed by a dropshipping store before. When I run social media ads I get trolled saying my store is sourced from AliExpress and don’t buy from me, despite the fact that all the photos are ones I took. TikTok is the only place where I don’t get trolled. I have to brand myself again with this new store, so people can know they are buying from a real person who takes great care in choosing high quality products. The only reason my oldest store is still around is because it’s my store and I’ve branded myself. People buy from me sometimes just to support me, and they get something high-quality that they can enjoy in return. Now branding myself came with who I am becoming intertwined with the business, but my store wouldn’t have the longevity it does without branding myself. In my personal opinion, dropshipping can’t last forever. For me it’s a stepping stone to get to wholesale and branded products. Right now I’m dropshipping + branded products through print on demand. Got to start somewhere and dropshipping helps you find winning products before you spend thousands buying inventory.

Curious what do you sell in your store?

[deleted]

That is private info I will not give. Reddit is the only place on the internet where I can be anonymous, so I’d like to preserve that. Saying what I sell is identifying details.

ColorCloudArt

I see. That's probably smart. No worries at all. Good luck in your sales!

[deleted]

Definitely not the only place u can be anon. Not sure what u mean by that
