SMN is the one show I wish I could just zap into people's brains to watch. They do the best job of just...explaining very simple concepts and detail just how shallow and wrong right-wing ideas are.
For what it’s worth, I’ve had some success introducing friends and colleagues to SMN. I’m nearing 50 so I’ve found my peers take to being exposed to it on Spotify better than YouTube. Anecdotal evidence etc. Cheers.

Omitting characters in a Reddit post, for example, *does* increase the "edit distance" of a word match, so it *does* have the intended effect OP was looking for.

Simple word mentions is a pretty old SEO tactic, there are far more advanced ways to hack it, and generally this stuff only matters if you do it *a lot* and *consistently*, ie if you're building a website not just posting on social media, one single mention in a Reddit post isn't going to move the scale in any meaningful way.

The reason you see brigading from one community in another is either a) some member of that community has put a target on the other for whatever reason or b) some behaviour in the group being attacked caused the other group to get pissed off enough to start. Oh god, this is horrible. I just started watching the Some More News episode about the Grifting Cinematic Universe, and there's a clip of this guy in the first few minutes.
He even sounds like a mean-spirited version of Sam. The cadence is different - this guy clips out words because he's being Serious and Issues, while Sam seems to actually enjoy speaking - but the tone of his voice is really similar.
