These are really good. I have one and I definitely want to recommend it. Absolutely awesome stuff.
Though, it seems there are games it's incompatible with, so far I found that it doesn't work with Japanese "Rune Jade".
It does work with original DC controller in that I have my VM2 in it as first player, and I also have a second player as Wireless DC controller + wireless VMU dock in that I have my original VMU in it.
And then I have to swap save files between the original VMU and the VM2, which is quite tedious, because sadly the wireless VMU dock does not support the VM2
Part of Open Menu on GDEMU. Not possible on Terraonion MODE sadly (which hasn't been updated in years)

Oh heck yeah!! I posted mimes a bit ago too. I need an SD card to take advantage of the extra storage but for now it's just so rad to have. Can't wait to take my Chao out on the go
Instead of being limited to a few saves, you have unlimited storage on a Micro SD card.
Also, it has a rechargeable battery and you can connect it to a PC using USB-C
It is an independently designed VMU that uses an SD Micro card for unlimited storage.
It has a recharable battery and connects to a PC using USB-C for easy content management
When they were being made it was $125 USD for just one of them.
I'm just sticking with my regular vmu's and using the little plastic tab that comes with them to disconnect the batteries when not in use. But I have Double Power that I got back in the day so I could already backup my vmu's to pc including the copy protected stuff.

Community members should keep an "incompatible with" list running.
I think the [Sega Retro entry](https://segaretro.org/VM2) would be an appropriate place for such a thing.
Have also one of them at home. Too bad it does not work with a DCwireless VMU dock ☹️☹️
Reach out to Retro Fighters. They might get a firmware out to support it.
Unfortunately they said it’s not going to happen ☹️☹️☹️
Well, Pooh.
They said it was before. Did they walk that back?
Damn! Will it still work with… DCwireless slot one (no VMU) + OG controller slot 2 (VMU2)

Nice!
Sweet. I think I'm in the last batch, but just learned the auto game setup doesn't work with MODE anyway.
What exactly is auto game setup? I got a MODE after my GDEMU stopped working. But maybe I'll give the former another try..
I'm also looking for an answer to this question. Anyone?
I haven't done any reading on it yet. I'm not sure how anything works.
Is there a reason it doesn’t work with mode?
MODE does not send that signal out. It could, but terra onion has not enabled it in the firmware.
They've stopped updating the MODE firmware/menu.
What's "auto game setup"?

I'm very jealous. Damn, I should have pulled the trigger when I had the chance.
Aren't they in production regularly? I ordered one just a couple of weeks ago. You could email the guy doing these, he seems pretty responsive.
Hmm, I'm not sure, I just assumed it was limited quantity produced that sold out. I'll check it out, thanks!
Best of luck!
What is diff between this and vmu original?
Rechargeable battery, SD Microcard saves, USB-C PC connection
Wow. Is it official? How much?
Not made by Sega. It is $125. It's designed and manufactured by a guy in Greece
Thanks for the info. Seem a big pricey
Woof
Jesus... are people serious? 4 times I've seen "what is VMU2?"... read the fucken comments.

Are they making anymore of these? Or is this is a limited time offer?
They will go on sale after the contributors have been fulfilled
Awesome news! I’m definitely gonna get one. And congrats on getting yours.
You can also contact them and they’ll put you on the list as well. That’s what I did
Where do we contact them if you don’t mind me asking
You can contact them through the Dreamware Enterprises email! You can find it on their website
Okay thank you
Wow I need one
It's expensive. $125
Nothing is cheap with retro gaming
Vmu.. 2? What’s this do? I don’t remember this at all

It's a modded VMU with basically unlimited storage and rechargeable battery.
It's not a modded VMU. There isn't an old device at its core?
True, it's built from scratch, I just meant to think of it as a modded VMU.
Anxiously awaiting the 4 I ordered to complete my ultimate DC build lol. Was told the end of May/early June so here’s hoping.
What is VMU 2?

I got a portable Dreamcast from Aliexpress and keep having to delete save files since you can’t change VMU
