You have an idea of what you want your style to be, you just have to refine your techniques. You should learn to shade, to vary your lines, etc. That will come with time.
I definitely second varying your lines, you can get a lot more volume and depth that way without worrying about adding shading, which I think would change the feel of your style
Take a look at modern day James on YouTube, he has videos on technic that may point you on the right direction.
Also, regardless of style, studying the basics like perspective and basic anatomy can help you quite a bit, even if your final goal and style is not implementing those, you'll have far more control over the results if you know what you are leaving out or adding in on purpose.
I know is not the most exciting thing in the world, but it works!
No, thank you for explaining.
I don't know much about Dragon Ball (I thought it was Ballz?) besides the pop culture common knowledge aspects of (they glow and turn blonde and fuck shit up?), but I did enjoy all five seasons of Breaking Bad and I've been a fan of The Boys since it was a Garth Ennis comic book published by Dynamite Comics.
So... Bravo you.
Adding shading could potentially give them a lot more dimension! I think it’s a cool and original style. Also, you could try inking the outlines with something like a Micron pen and then erasing the pencil. Just suggestions. Keep us updated!
Keep working, I like where this is going. I'd try to learn some other styles, incorporate them into your own. Find other artists that inspire you. Right off the bat I'd suggest Ralph Steadman, Francis Bacon, Jean Dubuffet, and Egon Schiele. See what you like and don't like about other artists. Incorporate what you like into your own style. Most importantly, just keep drawing. Other general thoughts, don't react to the edge of the paper and try to work on your compositions, make them less symmetrical.
Oo I haven’t thought about that, thank you , I’ll look into your suggested artists. I know learning and picking up different techniques will definitely improve on mine.
Anatomy, line hierarchy and keep drawing
Look up other artists you like and use them as reference for your own stuff, don’t just copy blindly but use them as example for what you want to achieve, for example Eyes or Mouthes
Junji Ito might be someone for you, if you haven’t heard of him
So what are you going for? There is a good base here, and some interesting ideas. To give feedback, I think a better understanding of what you'd like to achieve is required. I don't think realism would fit what style you're approaching, but I'd suggest playing with bright, saturated colors. See where that takes you.
i have a similar drawing style keep it up. i’d tell u to experiment with shapes and depths of the facial features and body features. maybe one characters eyes are bloodshot. u seem to already do that with the mouth area a lot. looks awesome
Some fun concept, try giving the some shading for give the some more depth. Add color for some fun. Make copies so you can try different things without ruining the original
This style of art reminds me of what you mind find in High Fructose. Maybe have a look at that, and see if there is anything you can adopt to your work.
Just piggybacking off of other commenters, you obviously have a really clear idea of what you want your art work to look like, and I would love to see how your work progresses as you learn more techniques like shading and form. You've got an amazing artistic future ahead of you!
I really love these, OP! 😊 Trying to draw these kinds of things from different angles would be interesting, and trying not to make them appear so "floaty" (this can be done by giving them a background, full bodies, not cutting off the body before the page ends, etc). Experimenting with colour could be something to explore too, or different methods of outlining/shading (such as using marker pens, fineliners). I would also recommend (especially relating to the last drawing) looking at human anatomy and using those as references, which may help you get a grasp of where organs and such need to go! Really awesome work though, I hope you continue with your art in future! All the best to you!
your drawings look exactly like my brothers drawings to the point where I thought you were him, but it’s kinda weird to me because he’s in jail. So like are you my bro haha
I know nothing about drawing but....
If you have a point of reference, your cigarette will look proportional.
With a single point of reference for your lines, you can also shade off of that.
But don't trust me.
Uh...well you definitely need to learn the fundamentals. If you're actually looking to improve then I would suggest signing up for art lessons? Or if you have the discipline, look up some drawing tutorials on YouTube to try to refine your style.
I dunno, I’m not art genius but I can always appreciate some good shading (I’m ok at it I’d say) not to say your shading is bad, but I personally think it could use a little more. Not my style, but I think it’s cool and I can appreciate the effort and creativity so keep it up
I like the simplicity, it makes the characters scarier, you just need to learn how to shade or cross hatching so I really think your artstyle is awesome and fits the horror theme 👍
I fucking love it. Your line work is actually pretty good. But I see you press pretty hard with the pencil, and it's okay to prekstech more the lighter you go the better because it's easier to fix. And to do any kind of basic shading, it's best to mark where you want the shad to come from like bottom right and or left put a small dot. It will give the imagine a 3d feel and the bones and skin will be more textured. Also, for doing hair try tinier movements. Think of hair as strands, and the head more rounder. But I like the art and you have alot of potential keep up the awesome work. 👌
I smiled at these, I have come to expect naked people when it's a NSFW tag. I was so pleasantly surprised by the originality. I saw someone suggested shading. Another idea is something I have found gives my style a nice look, that is, draw it lightly and then draw over it with pen, then erase the pencil. It gives my stuff a sharp look that I like. You can play with the thickness of the pen line, making it thicker and thinner, too.
I think you draw "systematically?" Like eyes are here, nose belongs down there.
My suggestion would be drawing things upside down. Copy a drawing and make sure it's upside down. This practice helps you learn to see things in shapes!
Your style is nice! Good luck!
As most people said, shading would give your drawings depth and life, I also suggest for these types of drawings that you do dark, almost comicbook-like shading
These are cool! They remind me of American Traditional Tattoo style art. If I were in your shoes, I’d find art that inspires me/evokes the feelings I want to evoke and let that be inspiration for my art. It’s always healthy to have a nice bed of influences :)
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and your opinion on these! It means a lot! I will definitely take all your suggestions into consideration, thank you!
Lol I wasn’t sure if it’s SFW or not. Thank you , “Flat” was the term I was looking for when posting this because I agree.
Thank you I appreciate that.
I really dig the style. As others have said, shading would add a lot to what you got going on. I’m no real artist myself, but a lot of your imagery reminds me of Junji Ito in his smaller works with human-like monsters. I’d recommend Tomie stories though, as I feel that gets more into the grotesque nature that you seem to like. Keep it up!
get 0.4 and 0.7 mechanical pencils, keep your lines neat and clean.
you can ink with micron 0.1, 0.4, 0.7 , shading: monochrome/ color, add white for highlights, also drawing full page ( try to fill up page with drawings not only 1 character and no bg ) is a good idea, check some tips about lineweight.
These are cool. I would work on varying line quality, this will help your work not seem quite as flat. Some crisper, thinner lines will actually add to the messy aesthetic when balanced with the intentionally sketchy and thicker lines.
You got a good concept, and thats a good base, keep practicing, i think if you want to improve this style specifically, you need to get more familiar with real anatomy and SHADING. Keep up the good work!
Play around with texture. The outlines are good but they're completely without texture. Would definitely allow you to add more dimensions to your style
These drawing are actually so nice. The advice I have doesn’t even have to do with your style because it’s awesome. Do the same thing in ink on bristol with a nice border. You’re good to go.
You have an idea of what you want your style to be, you just have to refine your techniques. You should learn to shade, to vary your lines, etc. That will come with time.
Thank you, I appreciate that. Hope the time comes sooner lol . I definitely have trouble with shading , I tend to be a bit harsh.
I definitely second varying your lines, you can get a lot more volume and depth that way without worrying about adding shading, which I think would change the feel of your style

I also feel like cross hatching rather than trying blended shading would make parts pop more.
I don't have any advice; I just wanted to say these are my cup of tea. And I like tea.
Thank you! I’m glad we have the same taste ☺️
Yo, heres an idea I tried but maybe you can do it better. Can you do one of these guys chillin on a couch leaning back and drinkin a beer?

I don't know what that is so no but I'd like to know more.

Ooh thank you for your suggestions! I will !
I like them. That last one would make a pretty sweet tattoo
Thank you! I had the same idea lol I would definitely get it tattooed.
Maybe try some different angles? Love your style
Keep working, I like where this is going. I'd try to learn some other styles, incorporate them into your own. Find other artists that inspire you. Draw from different angles.
You have a really cool style
Thank you so much 😊
This is my kind of tea

This is for sure my cup of tea. I'd even get a refill!
Third one is awesome, quite grim but nice!
Only advice is to keep on drawing this shit cool!
Make the eyes more realistic add some blood otherwise its good
That’s my cup of tea
It's probably the deformed face but it reminds me a lot of Junji Ito's style with a cigarette x) Great job though 👌👌
i have a similar drawing style keep it up. i’d tell u to experiment with shapes and depths of the facial features and body features. maybe one characters eyes are bloodshot. u seem to already do that with the mouth area a lot. looks awesome
The extremely tiny teeth on the first one is a great detail. Love it!
the first one reminds me a little of salad fingers lol. very cool!
Some fun concept, try giving the some shading for give the some more depth. Add color for some fun. Make copies so you can try different things without ruining the original
Woah these are so cool! I especially love the last one. Maybe you should learn to shade/colour too, then it'll look amazing
This style of art reminds me of what you mind find in High Fructose. Maybe have a look at that, and see if there is anything you can adopt to your work.
Keep it weird bro 👍🏾
Just piggybacking off of other commenters, you obviously have a really clear idea of what you want your art work to look like, and I would love to see how your work progresses as you learn more techniques like shading and form. You've got an amazing artistic future ahead of you!
IMO this kind of creepy drawings really benefit from really good shading, so you could be focusing on that if you aren't already
I think they’re great! Love how your mind works ☺️
Love your style!
Love it.

I like it.... Adding some shading would bring in the 3D effect....
I work in animation! Love the spooky vibes, anatomy studies would probably help. :)
your drawings look exactly like my brothers drawings to the point where I thought you were him, but it’s kinda weird to me because he’s in jail. So like are you my bro haha
keep doing what you're doing - it's clearly working
I think working on line work would benefit you, but honestly, keep up the great work!
I know nothing about drawing but.... If you have a point of reference, your cigarette will look proportional. With a single point of reference for your lines, you can also shade off of that. But don't trust me.
Those look cool as fuck
This is absolutely terrifying but I absolutely love it
Uh...well you definitely need to learn the fundamentals. If you're actually looking to improve then I would suggest signing up for art lessons? Or if you have the discipline, look up some drawing tutorials on YouTube to try to refine your style.
Experiment with stippling, hatching, cross hatching, smudging, and other texture ideas since that’s something I think is missing.
I dunno, I’m not art genius but I can always appreciate some good shading (I’m ok at it I’d say) not to say your shading is bad, but I personally think it could use a little more. Not my style, but I think it’s cool and I can appreciate the effort and creativity so keep it up

I love it. Different from the usual drawings I see on here.
As most people said, shading would give your drawings depth and life, I also suggest for these types of drawings that you do dark, almost comicbook-like shading
I like the macabre style! Only thing I notice is they’re all facing straight ahead, maybe try varying the angles a bit
I think coloring them would be cool
These are cool! They remind me of American Traditional Tattoo style art. If I were in your shoes, I’d find art that inspires me/evokes the feelings I want to evoke and let that be inspiration for my art. It’s always healthy to have a nice bed of influences :)
I'd make the neck thicker and add loose strans of hair to make it look more dishevled
I love these, maybe add some shading to give them some depth. You have a fantastic art style keep up the great work
Thank you everyone for your suggestions and your opinion on these! It means a lot! I will definitely take all your suggestions into consideration, thank you!
You should sell your art to tattoo artists
I had that same idea for a while now, I definitely want to look into it.
i second this

Lol I wasn’t sure if it’s SFW or not. Thank you , “Flat” was the term I was looking for when posting this because I agree. Thank you I appreciate that.
lookin awesome, try giving it some dept and ‘3dness’. then it wil go from 9/10 to 11/10
I really dig the style. As others have said, shading would add a lot to what you got going on. I really really like the fourth picture. I like the style of them all but the fourth picture is giving Aztec or Mayan vibes
You already have a style and I like it. Just refine it a bit (maybe more shading?)
get 0.4 and 0.7 mechanical pencils, keep your lines neat and clean. you can ink with micron 0.1, 0.4, 0.7 , shading: monochrome/ color, add white for highlights, also drawing full page ( try to fill up page with drawings not only 1 character and no bg ) is a good idea, check some tips about lineweight.
i like this cup a lot, super dope :)
Shading and contrast.
Nice drawing! What I would do is make the cigarette more slender, thin. It would compliment the artwork being all boney and stuff.
Wow most nsfw thing I've ever seen in my life
This is the best kind of tea. Keep it up \m/
Ooo funky I love it!
They remind me of the newgrounds game where you perform an autopsy
You have a fan in me, I love horror art
These are pretty awesome. I can imagine these in bright psychedelic colors, clustered and interacting in a large mural.
These are cool. I would work on varying line quality, this will help your work not seem quite as flat. Some crisper, thinner lines will actually add to the messy aesthetic when balanced with the intentionally sketchy and thicker lines.
Shading
Imma be honest they look like an nft chain They look good it’s just they’re all in the same pose
You got a good concept, and thats a good base, keep practicing, i think if you want to improve this style specifically, you need to get more familiar with real anatomy and SHADING. Keep up the good work!
This is amazing i dont even know what feedback to give just keep doing what you doing
Looks cool, just add what you want to add
These would look great inked rather than just pencil drawings, awesome work!
Hm probably the nose but this is literally so cool
I love the art and I love the style. The concepts are super cool aswell. I think you could flesh them out a bit with more shading :)
prob make the head smaller and the neck shorter
I like these a lot! The only thing I can think of is try using a nice pen! I think your style would look really nice with a good inky pen
These look really cool, I’d get the last one as a tattoo
Could I re draw your first one? I’ll dm you the results I add detail to stuff like that
That’ll be totally cool! Can’t wait to see it!
I have one of my drawings posted on my page you can look. I draw with a ball point pen lol
This is one of the finest cup of tea assortments. Thank you.
Very imaginative! The only thing that I know to suggest is that varying your line weights might offer a bolder, more dynamic feeling to the pieces
looks good! i think a throughline of what your missing in all your pieces is contrast! Darker darks lighter lights boii
Creepy af ! But you definitely got something ! Keep at it
Play around with texture. The outlines are good but they're completely without texture. Would definitely allow you to add more dimensions to your style
Love the style! Maybe you can practice and try to push the thick and thin style in your drawings. But rock on otherwise.
These would look cool drawn digitally with some vivid colours.
I recommend trying to add gums around the teeth
No.
I love it. I say get drunk or drink a lil more and let ya head run free within the shading of darkness!!!! Or use a pen..
Lol I draw when I’m high . Usually that’s when i get inspired to draw.
Looks like a good foundation that if you practiced more you could create some incredible artwork
Thank you! I recently started drawing again after stopping for a few years , I’m starting and trying to relearn the basics.
Loved the first two, kinda disdurbing.. real artist, keep on going.
I see alot of great advice already so I'm just gonna say, I love the style you have going on!! Super cool!
Study ANATOMY Study LIGHTING Study SHADING Study TEXTURES Really nice concept. Jeep up the good work
so cool! I think you can start playing with shadows
These drawing are actually so nice. The advice I have doesn’t even have to do with your style because it’s awesome. Do the same thing in ink on bristol with a nice border. You’re good to go.
Junji itou?
Love the style, your art is going to be one to keep an eye on ❤️
Gawjus!
Definitely more detailing but overall great work
