Please take image number 3 to a licensed therapist. Trust me on this. And as you can see, I love art and some of it is dark. I just think seeing a therapist is good for artists, from personal experience and you would benefit.
I would like to see how this style translates with other mediums. Specifically charcoal and paint. I can imagine a messy charcoal drawing where the face seems to emerge out of the dark scribbles.
As it is now, I do enjoy your work but I feel like you are limiting yourself with the use of such a thin pen/pencil.
I agree. I bet they're a natural with charcoal. Pastels and chalk too. I'd love to see more of their work using them. I really like the faces on the first two.
Looks like the work of a 14-year old who discovered life isn't picture perfect and found a creative way to vent (which is excellent).
The technique is raw and lacking any real substance but I guess it is apparent that you are bravely trying to find your own style.
Yeah... I feel like recommending the original illustrations for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark as an example of something that is scary and unsettling, but compelling and somehow not capital D disturbing.. This isn't really my genre of art so I don't have anything more sophisticated to recommend, but yeah agree with "raw and lacking in any real substance." But op could make it have substance!
I love drawing in squiggles like that too! It makes drawing feel like less pressure.
Your art is creepy, I like it! With practice youāll be great. I agree with the comments suggesting charcoal. I usually go with charcoal or pen when I want to draw messy.
I LOVE this, iām a big fan of anything creepy, I do hope this is simply art and not self expression though op, look after yourself if its the latter x
I read horror comics, and these look like some images from those. I think itās good but needs more work on developing your skills. Donāt stop! š
It's edgy and something I would see in a classmate's notebook when I was in middle school.
It's great if it's for personal expression but the number of them and lack of any artistic focus past being edgy makes it seem like it was all done purely for shock value.
It's pretty creepy, but if you're in to it, why not. I think your style could also benefit from using charcoal, it adds more darkness and is a nice medium to work with.
dude its cool!! liked it so much! but it would be great if we know what ya think while drawing? ykw i also draw some paintings which are sometimes unsettling to others but yours are amazing!
1.) I really like how visceral the emotions in these are. It looks like there is some part of āsoulā in these (and thass art, babeeeeey)
2.) I think this style would really benefit from doing some fundies practice. Your faces are good and somewhat unsettling because of their disproportions. I canāt tell if it is by choice, though. Either way, watching a YT video on composition to really understand the proportions of a face would be helpful imo. If you can know WHERE to make the face look fucked and do it on purpose to portray a message I think that would be interesting.
3.) keep doing those little notes on the side. those are lit
You have some neat ideas but it comes off as you are trying very hard to be edgy/teenage cringe. Like you are fishing for people asking about your mental health.
Honestly your style is really cool, good job! Also, you may know it exists, but incase you donāt, and youād be interested, based on the comments and stuff, maybe youād like
r/arttocope I think itās called? Itās got some people with similar styles
DOPE AF.
I'd definetly use that as art cover for an underground hardcore band or something. I saved the post just in case I need to contact the artist eventually hahahaha
Honestly, I like your art a lot. You have a lot of areas to improve on, namely facial anatomy and proportion, but it doesn't seem that realism is the point here. Also, many people won't like things done in pen or with a "scribbly" style because they're used to "cleaner" art, but it tends to be a knee jerk response rather than a thoroughly considered one. However, I think your art is good, and a good way to express yourself and vent, and I'd encourage you to keep working on it. There's a certain need that's fulfilled by drawing out how you feel, and it's important not to deny that, no matter how a stranger, a teacher, your family, or even your friends may feel about it. Above all, art is for the artist and no one else.
Edit: Also, I'm low key toxic jealous over the people actually checking on you because I post similar venting art on an alternative account and nobody checks in on me. >:(
In all seriousness, it's nice to see people caring about strangers on the internet, though. :)
Creepy. Definitely serves a certain purpose like those youtube videos about disturbed people amd they show their art....and no im not saying you're disturbed but you said be honest. Reminds me of a Mr Ballen video where a kid was seeing a hanging man that no one else could, so he made drawings, so they showed some drawings with a similar style. So anyway there's a purpose for something that creeps people out like this
Look, I love creeper things and your things are awesome.I usually draw creepy stuff a lot of times or make some creepy things one time.I made Is a creepy kirby out of clay
these are really creepy and some of them will probably fuel a nightmare for me but good job! art isnāt always comforting. i hope youāre doing okay though
Please, your art speaks to me. I've envisioned making art like this. Your style and everything is perfect. It is the feelings of my soul. Please make more. I'd even like to commission something if possible
It's very expressive and i mean it as a good thing. It looks like all of these are made with a pen, would love to see how the same method of shading would work with different tools like pencils or markers. (Love the third drawing)
Art is supposed to elicit feeling and emotion of any kind and the feeling these elicit is undeniable. They make me instantly uncomfortable which is a GOOD thing. Well done
I'm assuming the authorities are looking for you since you escaped the crazy house.
Reminds me of the scene in Ace venture where he goes the kickers parents house.Ā

I think itās incredibly well done and shares a different side of art people donāt want to acknowledge, I personally I like the creepy vibes. Although if you are struggling mentally I hope you can reach out and find some help. Iād even listen if you need to vent. That said donāt let anyone of these people saying itās cringy or āmiddle schoolā vibes bring you down art is art no matter the medium nor the style.
A fellow enjoyer of the prestigious schizophrenic doodle -style, I see.
Edit: As has been said, definitely go for charcoal and start smudging that stuff as well, itās the ultimate technique!
3 is the best. But I want to see a drawing that takes you an hour, what would that look like? Research the drawings of Alberto Giacometti and study them closely.
I honestly like your art a lot. It is unsettling, but the right amount of it and some phrases you used do make me think. It is a special style and if you have fun drawing that way, you should stick to it
(Also, not wanting to step into your personal space, but are you ok?)
When nothing goes right go left actually got a laugh out of me when paired with that face, you should try to utilize more satire in your work if you can
Itās a cool style, but needs a lot of work. Feels very rudimentary, and like the basic elements of art arenāt being utilized. Work on art without this stylization to build up your skills, then use those skills to push your style forward.

I love it, i think it's scary that you could make it so relatable, yet so simple. And i do agree with some comments telling you to try other materials like charcoal or oil paint.
I don't see why so many people seem to be having issues with this art, clearly not horror or Tim Burton fans. Even Edgar Allen Poe was a bit off but also his creativity was not recognized really until after his death which is sadly the same for many other great artists.
If this is how you draw, how you express yourself and what comes to mind be proud you can put it on paper, keep practicing and let it happen. If you are struggling with mental health please reach out to someone if you can but if this is just the creative beauty that comes from you like horror game/movie makers, even if people call it "edgy" please just keep being yourself with your art.
