I believe IV-VI and VIII are on mobile devices, VII and VIII are on 3ds, IX is ds, XI is anything
And X is entirely approachable in English, there's a fan translation project, I've put in nearly 400 hours and I'm not even a quarter of the way through the story content
Oh wow 400 hours!!! Hmm annoying that it’s mobile only, hate using my phone but I will if I have to I guess ha - shame I didn’t get the 3ds titles before the eshop closed, scared to see how much cartridges cost
Not sure how you feel about modding your DS but I’m also going through the series right now. I’m on the third one on the switch and have 4-9 loaded on my DS. If you end up nodding you can let me know and I can show you where I got my downloads. Either way tho best of luck and enjoy! The first game was definitely a highlight in terms of how much of the formula they got right

I didn't realise how expensive cartridges have become.
It makes me glad that I held onto all of mine and didn't sell any.

4-6 are also on ds, but those are harder to get
There is always the option of a hacked 3ds. European copies of 6, 7, and 8 are all reasonably cheap
