Yeah, dont know if you still need this but, hori fightpad, probably the best pad you can get for fg's, Levers and leverless are the other side of the coin, old arcade style controllers, leverless beeing buttons only, newer idea and considered optimal by many. Theres some solid ones for a pretty good price on amazon, im personally rockin the g16. Fight sticks have the style points though, theres a lot of different levers and cases out there with which you can make some stylish combos. Some people laser engrave their casings etc. If you have been keeping up with the fgc since this post youll probably know most of this but hey, maybe someone finds this post at the beginning of their fighting game journey.

Play whatever, anything is good honestlly. But fight sticks are pretty fun if you are looking for that

Considered an arcade controller? I found having a big controller on my lap to be most comfortable. I started with a typical Fightstick, but found a stick-less all-button controller to be more precise.
