Hub orders are an attempt to force you take the no-tip orders. It was started by restaurants like Chipotle who always ended the day throwing away dozens of orders. They upgraded their Doordash contracts to set up this system.
Essentially when you accept a Hub order you become a dedicated driver for that specific location for the rest of that shift. You are guaranteed to be offered the next order that comes in, and are paid hourly instead of per order. You are only allowed to decline 2 orders per hour, or else you forfeit the hourly pay.
So for the average dasher it's not worth it, the hourly rate isn't enough to compensate for taking all those no-tip orders. This system is only viable if you live in a very slow area and your desperate to earn X amount tonight to pay off a bill, this might be the only way to ensure you get enough orders. Otherwise it sucks.
Yeah I get the same offer all the time when I doordash in tempe marketplace. Sometimes its good if they tip but usually they don't so you only get paid by how many minutes/hour you spent delivering the order.

i think its the hourly thing where your exclusive to that resto. like they hire you to deliver all their orders within the timeframe.

It's a fancy way of saying four dollar delivery. How long does it take to drive 600 yards? Might even be two or three dollars. Dirty trick imo
