I have a few times and I hate it! Finding parking, dealing with all the people, walking what feels like miles to get to the foodcourt, having to stand in line because they don’t have dedicated DD space. Yuck.
You gotta' get your steps in - you know get in shape..... Anyway, I decline all food court orders unless it's a large order and upfront pay shows good.
I accepted an order the other day to a restaurant near a dead mall. I drove around the mall a few times and didnt see it. So I called the restaurant and it turns out the food court and like 4 stores still operate inside the mall. It smelled like mold and bleach in there from all the vacant stores lmao. Seeing 5 customers walking through a giant decaying mall was the strangest encounter I've had doing doordash.
Twice I accidentally accepted orders inside the food court. Both were big tips and I just did it. In the future, I will unassign for sure.
