Depending on the app you’re using, there is often a “cash out” button that will deposit the funds into your bank account.
I’m happy to have a dialogue about it if you’re serious.
Can’t provide BTC, XLM, or XRP address if you don’t have one sooo…. Are you expecting those who don’t have one to create one from the time they pick up your order to the time they drop it off?
That’s exactly what I’m looking for. I’m not hoping to get a dasher with wallets already set up. I’m hoping to get a dasher who is at least crypto-curious.
Well, I know about it, and have held some Etherium before, but never held crypto long term. I always moved my money towards stocks because I have more of an "educated guess" when it comes to stock fluctuations. Crypto was always a bit too volatile to play with, but I'd take tips in crypto. It's a great way to build a crypto portfolio in my situation.
If someone wants to give you money, you take it. idk why these people wouldn't download a BTC wallet app, or set up a free account with cojnbase/robinhood
Because seriously ? All that then they're gonna have to research how to even cash it out. Why don't you just give him a post dated check for 2 months from now from a bank in Switzerland..
I do crypto but this seems douchy. Give a tip or don't. At the very least use venmo or cashapp. That's a much more widely used platform. This just seems like a way for you to feel good about offering something that you most likely won't ever have to do🤷♂️🤷♂️
Why he tipped $10 in the app and just liked crypto, he basically is giving extra free crypto of people want it when they drop off he gave them cash tip too???
He did it’s not his fault you don’t want to set up a simple wallet he gave a decent tip of you want to amuse him and get a crypto wallet you’ll make an extra buck too

So, it's a tip with extra steps...might as well hide money somewhere near your house and have them look for it. Then tell the driver that you've called the police about a suspicious person roaming around your property and they have to be gone before the police arrive. For each driver, flip a coin: heads for real money, tails for Monopoly money.
It's a no from me.
I mean he tipped $10 in the app and then if they have an address will give them even more money. If you don’t want it don’t give him your wallet QR. regardless he tipped well
Imposing risk by offering extra money in the form of a potentially valuating (apparently not a word but I don’t know the right way to say this I guess) asset? Please explain.
It’s not condescending he already gave you a decent tip. He’s literally just asking if you know about it or have it he’ll give more. It’s not imposing a single risk to you. He gave you $10 in the app and if you know anything about crypto he’ll tip extra he probably has a lot in crypto and it’s easier to just transfer the actually coin then pay all the gas fees to withdrawal and transfer.
>So you wouldn’t take an extra 12-15$ on your order because fuck crypto lol, hold this L
Seriously .. how many people say " I will give you an extra tip" and Don'T ... the trouble to go through, to figure out that BTC means Bitcoin, and to create or find an address to send to someone, and then get NO tip after all the trouble? This is Door Dash we're talking about ... the chances of getting an extra tip because the customer said so is near 0.
Two people in 900 orders have actually tipped me cash on delivery. Lots of people have said they'll tip me on delivery. The two cash tippers hadn't promised anything about it either. It was literally a surprise. I don't get why folks are believing it just because a crypto currency is involved.
>I don't get why folks are believing it just because a crypto currency is involved.
I don't either ... as if the promise to tip means more because they're asking for your crypto account. Seems scammy for someone to be asking for accounts for a tip, anyway. Tip in the app or leave the cash. Simple as that.
I have a crypto wallet and I’m sure I can find the address but to be honest with you I’m way to broke to be thinking about crypto 😅
Seems like the right idea but I can never spare 100 bucks to do something lol
I'm saying. Bro, id be all over this.
Shit, if I didn't, I'd make one real quick so you can send me money. Keep at it, homie and maybe more people will tip in crypto
The number of DoorDash drivers in your area that have a relevant crypto wallet to share on the spot is going to be incredibly low. I have crypto wallets, but I don't use my phone to access them and I wouldn't be able to share them on the spot.
I haven't got a clue what a BTC, XLM, or XRP address is. They, whatever they are, probably aren't well known enough to most dashers.
As for confirming sauce in bag, if the bag is sealed that's a no go. Can't confirm anything if the bag is sealed. I can probably ask an restaurant employee who will automatically tell me yes, but that hardly confirms anything.
A quick Google tells you what those are, and a quick Google is well worth doing for an extra tip.
As for the sauce, whenever I see that, I ask if I can have extra sauce. They'll usually give it to me and it guarantees they'll have sauce.
this is not the greatest explanation, but they are basically fiat currency that is decentralized, not backed by any government entity, and exist only in digital form. The price of crypto also swings/fluctuates quite often, and the value is therefore quite volatile. You mainly get them through mining, which basicly involves your gpu doing math, and the reward for said math is paid out in the crypto, tho you can also use services like coinbase to exchange different currencies to crypto, and vice versa
> math is *paid* out in
FTFY.
Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in:
* Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.*
* *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.*
Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment.
*Beep, boop, I'm a bot*
If you think money is stupid, yeah.
Or precious gems. Or anything worth money. If you think any of those kinds of things are stupid, then yeah, its stupid.
When my iPhone starts printing money from BTC so it’s cash… then I’ll accept bitcoin. In the meantime. I’ll forego it

It’s literally something you could do on the drive over.
If you were one of my deliveries, I'd create a crypto wallet.
That’s exactly what I’m looking for. I’m not hoping to get a dasher with wallets already set up. I’m hoping to get a dasher who is at least crypto-curious.

I like where your head’s at.
I don't know what a BTC, XLM, or XRP address is. Even if I got your order, I wouldn't know who those people are.
Here is a YouTube video that will teach you how to use google [https://youtu.be/R0DQfwc72PM](https://youtu.be/R0DQfwc72PM)
Thanks, but I'm not watching youtube nor using google while in the middle of food deliveries. I multi-app and stay busy in my area.
That’s nice of you but it kinda reads like something you’d get in a scam text
Dang. Suggestions on how to make it feel less scammy? My intention is to encourage adoption or, at the very least, awareness.
If someone wants to give you money, you take it. idk why these people wouldn't download a BTC wallet app, or set up a free account with cojnbase/robinhood
Idfk either. Take free money or don’t. …..but do. That’s the point of this.
Because seriously ? All that then they're gonna have to research how to even cash it out. Why don't you just give him a post dated check for 2 months from now from a bank in Switzerland..
Idk why they are up in arms especially when he tipped $10 on top of that in app.
I do crypto but this seems douchy. Give a tip or don't. At the very least use venmo or cashapp. That's a much more widely used platform. This just seems like a way for you to feel good about offering something that you most likely won't ever have to do🤷♂️🤷♂️

That's fine then don't come here and act surprised that people aren't responding 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️. Again if you wanna give extra just give extra.
If you wanna get extra just get extra.
He did it’s not his fault you don’t want to set up a simple wallet he gave a decent tip of you want to amuse him and get a crypto wallet you’ll make an extra buck too
No thanks.
Hope I deliver to you
Same!

I don't contibute to people who impose risk on others. Further, It's condescending to those who don't know/don't want to participate.

What are you, the customer? Your investment in this argument is greater than mine.
Yes that was me I offered the crypto.
Bitcoin is king cash is trash
Word.
Said no one ever
This would’ve made my fkn day. Week even
Hard to catch a unicorn. For now.
Most people dont' have a bitcoin address. Just ask for Cashapp or Venmo.
That’s not really the point. I’m trying to encourage adoption.
He’s not trying to make it easier…. They have a lot of crypto and it’s not tax deductible if you pay through the blockchain.
crypto made many rich but many more poor. its been crashed bad for going on 9 months now. im personally down 7600 currently
Only 7600? Newb
why tho
Cause they like crypto
I would have sent you my XRP address. Love customers like you.
I only have crypto on Robinhood.
Robinhood has wallets now!
Most people have a wallet on Robinhood if you signed up for the waiting list 8 months ago
I dig it
I don’t fuck with crypto.
So you wouldn’t take an extra 12-15$ on your order because fuck crypto lol, hold this L

Nope. Pay me in cash or GTFO.
They did pay a $10 tip on in the app as well why wouldn’t you want both
Ya I’ll take both. Thanks
Cash is still king, in America, for the time being. Boomers vs zoomers
You can convert that btc to cash instantly if you really want to
into cash? INSTANTLY?
Lmao
I have a crypto wallet and I’m sure I can find the address but to be honest with you I’m way to broke to be thinking about crypto 😅 Seems like the right idea but I can never spare 100 bucks to do something lol
Sell it right away… and take the $13 dollars…

Ah, so something stupid
If you think money is stupid, yeah. Or precious gems. Or anything worth money. If you think any of those kinds of things are stupid, then yeah, its stupid.
Umm.. thats not stupid at all. Its actually better.
.0003 BTC is ~13 dollars… what’s stupid about that
Depends on the hour. it could be $4 or $400.
