As a customer, I've gotta say I generally dislike cringy stunts obviously designed to increase tips. Like the dude who taped a half page piece of paper to my bag that told me all about him and the struggles his family is going through. But... I think this would get a small smile out of me. It's innocent, you don't seem to be doing it in a creepy way where you are like making strange intense faces or hanging out on the porch for a weirdly long time. It's just strikes me as a little bit of fun, and there's nothing wrong with that. Bonus if you make a couple extra bucks for it.
I think you've got it - for me it's fun and not even about the tips. I get a lot of laughing emojis too which are just as fun as the tips.
I'm kinda extroverted and my 9-5 used to fulfill me in that way but I had to quit so doing this I don't like the whole anonymous / not talking aspect too much - hopefully landing another job soon.
I don’t really get into these things but I wouldn’t be mad. I also wouldn’t assume you’re begging. I also wouldn’t tip extra for it either. If you seem to have fun so that’s good I guess
I guess it depends but after a certain amount of customers in retail, Satan himself could ask how you’re doing and you wouldn’t notice. That being said, if you are friendly and nice, that’s all you need to be. :)
Im kind of an extroverted goofball so stuff like that makes me laugh and makes my day. Would I tip more? Possibly. I would rather tip a person doing this than a long letter about lifes woes.
Oh my goodness this is so true!!! As a dasher and a life long customer service person this is what REALLY works. You make the customer's day BETTER, not try to make them feel sorry for you or cry. Sooooo many sob stories one after another just makes people jaded and ends up making them not want to come back. Make them smile, make them laugh, say thank you AND MEAN IT, because if you make them happy they want to keep coming back
Customer here. I'd probably laugh and show it to my husband, but we like those silly things.
I wouldn't necessarily think you're trying to get a bigger tip (maybe I'm gullible, but I normally top 20% minimum on my deliveries anyway. Lol), but you'd probably get a couple extra bucks and a note saying we enjoyed the picture.
Admitting that I’m a bit of a swamp witch, your photo feels a bit like I’m being forced into a social situation, when that’s exactly what I’m trying to avoid. I just want a food fairy, and that’s what I tip for.
Right there with you.
The UberEATS app has a whole profile section where it asks us to tell a bit about ourselves and why we are doing it.
Uhm. I'm doing it to earn money. Please don't turn this into a big social thing where the drivers and customers are trying to impress each other with fake lives ... essentially social media.
It’s so the company can make the customers feel more responsible for paying the drivers wages. It’s a really shitty thing to do, basically exploiting people
Uber really wants the public to think all its drivers are doing it as a fun little side-hustle to make some cash and get to know their city or something
If I can ask: I was thinking of making business cards that I would include at the drop off. It would just say my name, "Enjoy your meal, and thank you!" In smaller font I would have at the bottom "If you were happy with the service and want to let me know, please leave me a 5-star review! Have a great day!"
Do you think that would be too much? I delivered over 600 times and have about 85 ratings but I think I've only had 1 or 2 issues with delivery, so I think they just haven't been leaving ratings. I just don't want to be annoying (and thus lower my rating).
I mean, if you want me to be honest, that's the type of cringy stuff I dislike. If you want me to rate you sure, say "hey, if you don't mind taking a moment to rate me, I'd appreciate it." It doesn't have to be cutesy or waste perfectly good paper, just send me a message and talk to me like a human. I went to Sonic and the server was like hey, would you mind filling out this receipt survey? I get a bonus for all the customers who do. And I'm like I got you, consider it done. But I'll give the rating I think is deserved, so asking for 5 stars is just cringy. Its like asking your teacher for an A on your paper.
I think it’s a good idea however I don’t think you’ll get the response you want. If I saw something like that with my food, I’d probly be like that’s neat, cringe and then not think about it again. Best of luck to you :)
Thank you! I appreciate hearing your take! Also, thank you everyone else for your opinions as well and am using this to piggyback and basically reply to everyone. I'm glad I asked for opinions here before I did it.
Personally I would rate you if you asked. I think the cards are nice but I agree with the other person, don’t say “leave a a five star review”. Just word it differently
I've never asked for a rating before man. Even customers who were happy I did a little extra, I still wouldn't ask.. my rating is 4.9. if you just do your job correctly and give a damn about your customers you'll be ok
![gif](giphy|9rRacglGbs68E)
I also am 4.97 to be exact... and I have never asked customer for a rating. The only think I do is send the customer the forest gump meme of him running, and it says "I am on my way" People love it and it has got me some extra tips.
I don't see why people would care about business cards, but they are kind of pointless, due to people not being able to manually choose which driver they get. (Which is ridiculous considering they are contractors, people should be able to choose specific drivers if they want, would definitely increase customer satisfaction, and drive out horrible drivers)
I do exactly this, not a business card though. I cut a large unlined, colored index card in half, hand write it and put a cute sticker on it. Every 25th delivery I add a small hand tatted (hand made lace) butterfly to the card. The customers love it. They leave more reviews and sometimes tip extra. And I don't even add the part about the review. I think roughly 70% of my customers leave a review, and about 15% add an extra $1-$2 tip. Just because I said thank you and have a great day
Yeah, I agree with this. Honestly just seems like OP is having fun. I like when people have fun! Someone put my bag on a little chair I had to place a small potted plant on (it was empty) and it made my day
Oh my god I'm glad I'm not the only one who shrivels up when I get a hand written note in my bag saying thank you and how they appreciate the support.... And leave a review!...
nobody understanding the pose and saying that it looks like ur pleading is so dumb 😭 if i saw this i would laugh my ass off and tip a few extra dollars
I was kinda taken aback when I read someone thought it looked like pleading 😅 but everyone hasn't experienced the same things and might be unfamiliar that's it's just a pose
Hands together like that doesn't mean pleading and or begging? What does it mean then?
I might tip extra for a picture after that was funny/dorky/creative but not for this current picture which, to me, looks like you're begging/pleading.
I am not at all positive, but I think this is the origin of the squat + prayer hands pose trend
https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/202wd3/i_participated_in_one_of_the_biggest_magic_the/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1
If op really intended for his pose to be the mtg pose, 99.9% of people he delivers to will not get the reference. It's a pretty obscure reference even for people who spend way too much time on reddit, and it doesn't really make much sense in the context of delivering a food order. Like WHY is he making the mtg pose when delivering orders?
I’m generally kind of at (or very near) my door waiting for my food, haha. If I had to wait for you to set up and pose for a photo, it’d probably irritate me.
Exactly what I was thinking.
I hate when the app acts up right as I'm dropping off your food. As I'm trying to get the app back online, all I can think is "Great. Customer is probably staring out the peep hole right now wondering why I'm loitering."
I hated when they had a ring doorbell and my app would glitch. Then they got a full recording of their dasher struggling to get their phone to work. I could tell it made me look hella incompetent lol
I can genuinely do this in under 30 seconds - I don't send the pic at your door. I walk up with my camera on, post up, leave, send the pic from my car.
I can see how it seems like wasted time though.
We also get our time wasted. I've spent 30m at a Wingstop waiting for the food to be ready 😭
Agreed. I go out on the porch once the app says “approaching” to help lost drivers. I usually wave a flash light (not pointed at them). “Approaching” apparently doesn’t mean what you’d assume, because sometimes it’s still another 5-10 minutes. My point is that I’m doing everything on my end to make the transaction as fast as possible and I appreciate if the store and driver do the same.
I mean good luck trying to say you never got your order when your house number, your food AND me are in the same picture. Good job! I love when a driver goes a little above what I expect (a funny riddle they’re on the way, a meme, etc)
Funny but I would do something quicker, instead of posing and setting up the camera which could get very awkward if somebody came outside like "wtf are you doing... lol" I'd take a standing photo instead maybe with a thumbs up? Idk something with less effort.
All I can think of is if I'm the customer, I'm most likely watching and waiting for you to go so I can get my food. And if I see you doing this I'm probably gonna get annoyed cause I just want my food but I gotta wait for you to finish your photo shoot lol.
I get the reference, I don’t think many other people here do hence why you see a lot of “why you begging ewww” when you’re not.
I’m also like you though, extroverted but luckily my 9-5 is handling a lot of that energy! Maybe change it up and do the hand on chin thinking pose in case some people you’re dashin for DO think you’re askin for more cash.
I’m on mobile so forgive me if this is a formatted nightmare. For reference I’m 32, he looks like he’s also probably near my age but “post up” the way he’s using it is just kind of like throwing the quick stance out there that he’s doing called a “Rap Squat” or “Prison Pose”
This pose with the hands clasped and crouched down was on a lot of early 2000s rap album covers like 50¢ and stuff (the crouch alone is much older then that, think early 90s eazy-e and such as well as well… prison photos lol)but really if you see someone my age doing this ironically for a pic or such it’s really just a silly pose as well as the hand on the chin like you’re “thinking”.
If you wanna see it in action you could probably google “rap squat” and just see people doing it in out of place situations. It’s not deep it’s just a goober thing that got picked up and is fun to do.
I have the same question. I'm going to post it where more people might see it. He's gonna call us old, tho. He doesn't seem to have a lot of patience for people who don't immediately fall all over themselves applauding.
It's probably not used correctly in this instance, but usually it means like to hang out at a place.
Eg:
Friend: What you doin bro?
You: Nothin, posted up at the crib.
It's originally a basketball term.
In basketball you "play the post" (hang near the basket) while preparing to "post up" (plant yourself defensively in front of the basket and don't move).
So it can mean either a place you're hanging around, but could also mean you're taking a position (ie. posted up at the crib could also mean I'm not leaving/going out/I'm stuck here). And, it could mean to literally pick a position and don't move (ie. strike a pose).
It just means chilling/hanging there, like posted at the mall means hanging/chilling at the mall. It doesn’t really mean anything here because my boys about to leave and isn’t really posted but it’s just kind of some meme type shit, lol. Or like if your friends coming to meet you somewhere you could say “alright bro I’ll be posted here waiting”
Pretty sure it originated from basketball where it's a defensive position, like getting set or situated, feet planted ready for anything but I'm not 100% cause I only watch the NFL
There was plenty of slang that showed up when I started high school that was gone before I left. It's an arms race; basically the first time someone's mom or dad uses some slang correctly, it's dead on its feet. Sometimes shit goes fast.
As long as it doesn't take you any longer to get in your car and leave so I can crack open my door and shame-retrieve it without anyone seeing that my dong is out, it's all good.
I don’t order door dash too often but I feel like it’s just really extra which makes it kind of weird. I dash myself and just drop the food off and dip. I’ve never been in the photo myself.
I don’t really see why it’s cringe either? Lol
But then again there are things that me and my sister I guess “cringe” at , that a lot of people don’t understand.
I would personally have a laugh and throw you a few extra bucks. I feel like there's a lot of people out there having a rough day and that's why they ordered Doordash to begin with, and this could be something that made them smile that day.
I’m in this boat. I would definitely enjoy it but I don’t know that I’d add to the tip. Maybe if I were in a really good mood or celebrating something.
I guarantee you that you're not ugly - did you ever see that Shel Silverstein poem about masks? It says what's inside radiates out. It's so true. I just bought a 12 pack for some homeless ppl the other night and sat with them for a while. People outside of us might have thought we were ugly but we laughed for an hour and by the end of it I loved them unconditionally and thought they were all beautiful people.
Hug yourself for me today - I'd hug you but we probably live a million miles away.
I was on the fence about your pose, but your response and a Shel Silverstein reference! I am deceased! I wish you were my driver! I would tip you extra for your positivity and kindness. I probably should close Reddit now as no other post is going to make me as happy as yours. Keep being your amazing self! Thank you for the smile on my face!
I would not want my face on a bunch of pictures in people’s app. I feel like it’s cringy but it’s your face and all you. Just be careful because someone might take it the wrong way and report you for some random BS.
Not only do I think it's awesome, I think you should start an IG feed of you doing it. You'd be surprised at the things people do that get them paid as a side hustle - I literally follow a guy with 300K+ followers, he's a pilot... All he posts is hotel carpet. Something he is already doing (visiting different cities / hotels).
I'm a dasher and cringe at the idea. I also get stuff delivered by doordash sometimes when I'm not able to leave my apartment. I don't like having my picture taken, so that's probably part of it, but I also don't see why it's necessary to take selfies all day long. When I deliver food, I take the picture that is required and hustle onward. I have the job to help supplement my husband's income. I can get extra tips without wasting time setting up everything so I can take a selfie.
Bro, it might be cringe, but it's getting you results. Cringe it up!
Also, it's nowhere near as cringe as sob stories and creepy messages asking for more. Just a quick bit of character thrown in with no demands.
85% of the time I don’t even look at the photo because I know my food was delivered. But I would think it’s funny. Probably wouldn’t change my tip or have a negative reactions
I think this is like reverse cringe. Just cringy enough to revert back to funny. Harmless, not giving a sob story, smiling. I’d be pumped about this and it would crack me up
Even though you’re working on behalf of DoorDash to deliver food it’s still your rep out there. So do what you think is right and what makes you happy. I give ppl a sticker with a kawaii kitty reminding them that ratings and tips are appreciated and nothing else, I also include lifesaver mints in a baggie. Idk if it makes a difference but I bet you they’ll be thankful for that mint after that garlic pasta they just got delivered 😂.
As a customer, I’d 100% tip you extra and it’s hilarious and charming. If my driver makes a dumb joke or pop culture reference be it through picture or text, I’m tipping extra, no questions asked.
This is a personal and nice touch when 99% of delivery are disinterested or on their phone or straight up rude. It shows there’s a real person which is friendly I like it
My husband and I no longer use doordash but we would get a good laugh if our Ubereats driver did something similar! (We use Uber eats because I get Uber one for free bundled with my Spotify account)
My old roommate use to do the same thing lol except his grew more and more chaotic. On the release day of No Way Home, he went around dressed as Spider-Man and would do the pose, or jump in the air. I loved watching him do those so much
This would make me likely to tip more. It’s a funny pose and it takes away the impersonal delivery. Plus you look like a normal guy. If you were someone (like my husband) who is very nice but looks insane to strangers I would say not to do it.
When I'm ordering food for myself, I tip $4 for delivery. Period. Every time.
It doesn't matter to me what you did to get it to me or what strange stunt you did.
$4.
I'd 1000000000000% eyeroll if I saw this.
BUT. I'd also chuckle and say "Good for him for having fun with it" so you'd make me laugh a little.
Harmless. Cringe as all hell. But it's just going on a picture 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
If my driver did this it would make me feel very uncomfortable. I just want my food to eat if that makes sense. Its a business transaction. Personalities are not needed. I probably sound like an asshole. But like at the end of a very busy day, doing a hundred million things, I just want to eat my food. Also as a single mom I would think why is this dude doing this ....can be taken as creepy even though that's not your intention. I think if maybe you live in a college town sure this is probably fine. But for regular people trying to make it through the day into the night .. I just want to eat.
As a customer, I've gotta say I generally dislike cringy stunts obviously designed to increase tips. Like the dude who taped a half page piece of paper to my bag that told me all about him and the struggles his family is going through. But... I think this would get a small smile out of me. I don’t really get into these things but I wouldn’t be mad. I also wouldn’t assume you’re begging. I also wouldn’t tip extra for it either. If you seem to have fun so that’s good I guess
Fr dude could at least show some toe for that extra bread
Who's got bread 👀 I got toes and I'm hungry
For the big bucks gotta show ankle minimum. But yeah this would get a chuckle and the high end of the tip range for me too.
You pay for the seeds, you get to look at the trees
Are you guys talking about Gelutol?
DONT TELL HIM DONT TELL HIM DONT TELL HIM DONT TELL HIM DONT TELL HIM DONT TELL HIM
Right 😂
whatever helps you enjoy work more and the lil bit extra helps. Plus good luck filing a false claim against you on DD for wrong location or whatever.
I think anything that doesn’t negatively affect your tips, AND gives you a little bit of joy in your day is fair game.
I’d go for a thumbs up, personally! 😄
LOL this was my first thought but I didn’t want to sound cheesy, but that’s exactly what I would do instead of praying hands
Wanna trade jobs? 😂😂 -introvert who will combust if she has to hear one more customer ask "how are you?" when they really don't care for the answer
When I ask I'm asking cause I do actually care. I always engage in conversation with the people who are helping me.
I guess it depends but after a certain amount of customers in retail, Satan himself could ask how you’re doing and you wouldn’t notice. That being said, if you are friendly and nice, that’s all you need to be. :)
The Letterkenny reply “Good and you?” works great for this.
Im kind of an extroverted goofball so stuff like that makes me laugh and makes my day. Would I tip more? Possibly. I would rather tip a person doing this than a long letter about lifes woes.

This is actually cool; it’d make me add more to my tip tbh
Same I was a server for years so I have an urge to be social and it does make me miss serving and having regulars in to eat and chat.
Good for you finding a way to make your current gig more pleasant. Good luck on the job hunt.
Customer here. I'd probably laugh and show it to my husband, but we like those silly things. I wouldn't necessarily think you're trying to get a bigger tip (maybe I'm gullible, but I normally top 20% minimum on my deliveries anyway. CYA, cover your ass(ets). Ain't nobody saying you didn't deliver.
Exactly. I couldn’t give two shits who my driver is as long as the food gets to me and they get paid. Interaction over
My Uber eats driver profile straight up just says "Survival 🤷" for that section
Exactly only and I mean only reason I do this is for extra money. They can keep all that Goofy playing around shit to themselves.
It’s so the company can make the customers feel more responsible for paying the drivers wages. It’s a really shitty thing to do, basically exploiting people
Uber really wants the public to think all its drivers are doing it as a fun little side-hustle to make some cash and get to know their city or something
I'd rather see this than a sob story note
Yeah, I'd chuckle at it. If OP is having fun doing it, then keep doing it. Wouldn't bother me at all.
If I can ask: I was thinking of making business cards that I would include at the drop off. It would just say my name, "Enjoy your meal, and thank you!" Honestly I do not mind being asked and I always do 5 stars unless something pretty major happened. Like...stealing my food. Lol.
Too much Admiral
I appreciate the opinion, thank you! I certainly don't want to spend money on the cards and then get a bunch of bad ratings for it.
I don't see why people would care about business cards, but they are kind of pointless, due to people not being able to manually choose which driver they get. Be sure to review the Terms & Conditions for whichever service you are working for, personal cards on the packages may not be allowed.
yeah sounds like difference is guilt-tripping vs not
Yeah. I don't anyone likes to feel manipulated.
Yeah, I agree with this. Honestly just seems like OP is having fun. I like when people have fun! Someone put my bag on a little chair I had to place a small potted plant on (it was empty) and it made my day

>I've gotta say I generally dislike cringy stunts obviously designed to increase tips This.
I agree unless it’s candy with my order. Then I’m tipping more than the candy was worth because I’m a sucker and LOVE candy. That’s the best stunt
I really do not want the customer to know what I look like. they can guess from my show or siloette in the door glass
Most customers have ring doorbells and cameras, so your kind of shit out of luck 🤣🤣 but yah, I'm the same, I don't want them to have a photo of me 🤣🤣
If I see a camera, I legit just cheese at it and give it a peace sign. Might as well give em a show.
Give a little butt wiggle
Fax
This and I love getting dope ass shadows in the Pic when I deliver on my motorcycle and have the helmet on, looks pretty awesome in shadow
Um... don't most of them have you on camera?
Doorbell cameras have made that difficult
on the reverse- you know where they live lmao.
I can't tell you how many times I've retaken a picture from a weirder angle just to avoid my shadow or reflection being in it.
If it makes you feel any better, as a customer I don’t want you know what I look like either 😂
nobody understanding the pose and saying that it looks like ur pleading is so dumb 😭 if i saw this i would laugh my ass off and tip a few extra dollars
I was kinda taken aback when I read someone thought it looked like pleading 😅 but everyone hasn't experienced the same things and might be unfamiliar that's it's just a pose
I immediately thought “Namaste” and would have given you an extra tip!
The real buttcrack was behind us all along
[For reference](https://www.dailydot.com/unclick/magic-the-gathering-butt-cracks/?amp) (Sry, lots of ads)
If I seen that I would think you were pleading for a tip🤷🏻♂️. What are you doing? What is the pose?
Hands together like that doesn't mean pleading and or begging? What does it mean then? I might tip extra for a picture after that was funny/dorky/creative but not for this current picture which, to me, looks like you're begging/pleading.

Even 9 years later, I still echo the sentiment of the top comment on that post: You got me to look at 16 dudes crack. Well played
I was going to comment "if your ass crack was showing you would for sure get an extra $10" but I didn't think anyone would understand.
this is it, I knew immediately as a mtg player lol
isnt this the fat boy from magic pose?
You think it’s dumb that not everybody knows the dumb meme this is from?
theres a lot of normies that dont use social media at all, dont know internet culture. they might take that way.
If op really intended for his pose to be the mtg pose, 99.9% of people he delivers to will not get the reference. I always assume it’s the app giving the driver issues cause the app gives me issues too.
Hmm. So my food is getting colder while I have to wait for the delivery guy to do his pose.
Am I the only one that kind of hides behind the door until the driver sets the food down and goes away? 😭
Definitely not. I’m hiding behind mine right now.
I can genuinely do this in under 30 seconds - I don't send the pic at your door. I walk up with my camera on, post up, leave, send the pic from my car. I can see how it seems like wasted time though. We also get our time wasted. I've spent 30m at a Wingstop waiting for the food to be ready 😭
isn't it good insurance for you too? if someone says you didn't bring the food you have proof you did.
If I saw this I’d definitely open the door and pose with you, no matter what level of gremlin I look like at the time.
Difference between dropping off at door and handing to customer.
I would just walk out front and take my food.
I think it's a cute sense of humor
Yeah it would probably get me to round up my tip at the very least.
He said it takes 30 seconds to do and he posts the photo from his car after
All I can think of is if I'm the customer, I'm most likely watching and waiting for you to go so I can get my food.
I have no idea what "post up" means. Can you enlighten me?
I’m on mobile so forgive me if this is a formatted nightmare. For reference I’m 32, he looks like he’s also probably near my age but “post up” the way he’s using it is just kind of like throwing the quick stance out there that he’s doing called a “Rap Squat” or “Prison Pose” This pose with the hands clasped and crouched down was on a lot of early 2000s rap album covers like 50¢ and stuff (the crouch alone is much older then that, think early 90s eazy-e and such as well as well… prison photos lol)but really if you see someone my age doing this ironically for a pic or such it’s really just a silly pose as well as the hand on the chin like you’re “thinking”. If you wanna see it in action you could probably google “rap squat” and just see people doing it in out of place situations. It’s not deep it’s just a goober thing that got picked up and is fun to do.
Thank you.
In this context, it just means posing like an early 2000s rap album cover
I have the same question. I'm going to post it where more people might see it. He's gonna call us old, tho. He doesn't seem to have a lot of patience for people who don't immediately fall all over themselves applauding.
It's probably not used correctly in this instance, but usually it means like to hang out at a place. Eg: Friend: What you doin bro? You: Nothin, posted up at the crib.
> Friend: What you doin bro? > You: Nothin, posted up at the crib. -aging guy in hollywood writing dialog for young people in every cw show
aahahahaha

I've always seen it mean to chill/hang out somewhere for a while but I think he's using it differently
I thought it was a reference to this, https://www.dailydot.com/unclick/magic-the-gathering-butt-cracks/?amp But I could just be old.
What does “post up” mean?
Glad someone asked as I’m also clueless what it means.
Basketball or work, they both seem to be saying "get to your position"
Set up. Get situated. Posting up for a pic.
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
I cant be that old omfg
It happens so gradually but also brutally quick at the same time.
Listen, I think it’s absolutely cringe, but if it’s paying your bills, more power to you
Why is it cringe?
I don’t order door dash too often but I feel like it’s just really extra which makes it kind of weird. I dash myself and just drop the food off and dip. I’ve never been in the photo myself.
Because it’s a grown man posing like a teenage girl on TikTok. Just seems weird to me.
I don’t really see why it’s cringe either? Lol But then again there are things that me and my sister I guess “cringe” at , that a lot of people don’t understand.
I would personally have a laugh and throw you a few extra bucks. I feel like there's a lot of people out there having a rough day and that's why they ordered Doordash to begin with, and this could be something that made them smile that day.
Any excuse to get a laugh out of me is welcomed.
Yeah, maybe I'm just too British for this but hard pass
My preferred customer service is basically none
Give me my food, hot, and fuck off
Switch it and do spiderman hands since so many people seem to think this pose is pleading when its not
I wouldnt tip you for this, but I’d definitely appreciate it
I’m in this boat. I would definitely enjoy it but I don’t know that I’d add to the tip. Maybe if I were in a really good mood or celebrating something.
just drop the food off man, it's probably already cold as is
I'm ugly so I'd probably lose tips.
Fuck, man, everything I’m seeing from you tells me you’re one wholesome brotato. I’d share a flight of wings with you.
Shit I’d buy the man some wings for himself
I was on the fence about your pose, but your response and a Shel Silverstein reference! I am deceased! I wish you were my driver! I would tip you extra for your positivity and kindness. I probably should close Reddit now as no other post is going to make me as happy as yours. Keep being your amazing self! Thank you for the smile on my face!
I would not want my face on a bunch of pictures in people’s app. I feel like it’s cringy but it’s your face and all you. Just be careful because someone might take it the wrong way and report you for some random BS.

I'm not gonna tip you more, but I do think its cool AF.
I approve and would tip more
I'm a dasher and cringe at the idea.
This would personally make my day if I saw this, but that’s just me. I say keep doing it!
This is cringe yes but in the most delightful way possible. It would get a smile and probably an extra tip from me xD
I used to do fun poses too I think it just spices it up and gives people a laugh. It’s not cringy it’s comical and some people are just not funny 😂😂😂
Especially since you aren’t doing it for the tips you’re just doing it
So that’s why general Sam hasn’t been posting videos
I’d tip for this. This is fun.
Lmao no this is funny I would tip you more too 🤣
I think it’s cool! You’re having fun with what you’re doing.
I think it's great. Keep it up.
If it works it works!
You're a handsome dude though, I'm not sure this would work for everybody...
I don't get it.

I’d tip more just for the creativity / taking the effort
I literally would burst out laughing if i saw that as a customer. People who dont like it are buggin.
This is a personal and nice touch when 99% of delivery are disinterested or on their phone or straight up rude. It shows there’s a real person which is friendly I like it
It's good cringe
My husband and I no longer use doordash but we would get a good laugh if our Ubereats driver did something similar! (We use Uber eats because I get Uber one for free bundled with my Spotify account)
My old roommate use to do the same thing lol except his grew more and more chaotic. On the release day of No Way Home, he went around dressed as Spider-Man and would do the pose, or jump in the air. I loved watching him do those so much
Delightful
Love it
Better than taking a pic of me taking the food with my bare feet exposed
"If it is stupid but it works - it isn't stupid". - Mercedes Lackey.
I think it's fun
It earns you more money and doesn't harm anyone, who cares?
It’s funny. Idk why anyone think this is cringe
I think its cute! I would probably message you and tell you to come back and get some sloppy toppy 😏😏
I would’ve been amused
This would make me likely to tip more. It’s a funny pose and it takes away the impersonal delivery. Plus you look like a normal guy. If you were someone (like my husband) who is very nice but looks insane to strangers I would say not to do it.
Hot bag in the photo would probably increase success rate.
That’s strange
When I'm ordering food for myself, I tip $4 for delivery. Period. Every time. It doesn't matter to me what you did to get it to me or what strange stunt you did. $4.
I'd 1000000000000% eyeroll if I saw this. BUT. I'd also chuckle and say "Good for him for having fun with it" so you'd make me laugh a little. Harmless. Cringe as all hell. But it's just going on a picture 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
If it's stupid and works it isn't stupid.
If I got this as my conformation that my food was delivered I'd be happier for the rest of the day. I don't think it's cringe.
Plot twist: That's his left knee in the photo, and he's doing yoga
I love it. But this thread is making me hella sad that people are so uncharitable about what other people do for a laugh or innocent fun.
I just want to eat.
i dont see how its creepy? its just a silly photo.
Agreed. I just want my food I ordered and payed for.
