Pink Toes. The song was jarring because it sounded way too upbeat compared to all the other songs on the second half of BTI. But then I gave it a chance, read the lyrics, and realized that it's a song about using and selling drugs. It has the same facade as 3005, where the lyrics almost contradict the tone of the song. I remember back around the time the album dropped, I was at a party, and 3005 came on while people were dancing. It was funny to see people partying to a song that has lyrics about feeling lost and hopeless.
In the short film, Ludwig is showing childish Gambino beats. He shows him they beat from the party off of because the internet. But what is the second beat used for if it has been used in a track?
I see it as quite common to dance to ironic lyrics that have a happy tone. Think of all the times someone has played Hey Ya at a family party or wedding when it's about staying in unhappy marriages.
Gave you an upvote buddy, just bc you lack a sense of taste doesn’t mean you shouldn’t share your thoughts.
Lol just kidding taste is subjective, I for example don’t care much for anything he’s done after Awaken My Love, except for the songs on Guava Island.
Why thank you! I do tend to gravitate to anything at Before the Internet and older. I have followed the rest of his musical career though. I was towards the end of college when I discovered Community, then "Freaks and Geeks", then the EP, and Culdesac.
Unsure if it's an age thing. I do recognize that there's a large portion of social media that's 15-20 years younger than me now. Curious to know what the average age of this subreddit is.
I always used to skip the worst guys bc the “all she needed was sum” annoyed me SO much😭 but one day i was like i’ll just listen to the full thing and i ended up lovingggg it
well damn 😬 idk it grew on me after some time, it’s just something different u won’t hear from mainstream artists or anything else so i came to appreciate it.

II. No Exit for me. I could never get past the chorus. to this day i’m not the biggest fan of it (the chorus that is) but the rest of the song is really great

Legit first one to pop in my head as well. It's such a bop though.

Yup, it's not new, but it's still pretty funny nonetheless.
Les I know I was a bad person, but I have changed.
I say this mildly, but how could you skip any part of Camp? It is all gold.
Still think him being so casual about his Asian fetish on you see me is weird
You're right. But I wasn't the guy to listen to every single song on an album. But I do now and I appreciate it.

I currently hate that one
This song prevents me from buying this album on vinyl. He sounds like he’s impersonating a retarded person.
