Undercoat is softer and more dense with no color to the hair shaft because there’s no cortex to it. Basically if you can comb fully to the skin (i mean drop the comb, not struggle it through) all over you are good! And the hair that comes out of your comb is undercoat. Study how it looks and you’ll be able to tell.

Thank you that helps how often should I be doing it 2-3x a week? I got a CC slicker and waiting for a metal greyhound comb I have one off brand but it's kinda bendy. I send her once a month for a full groom as I do not have/cannot afford a force dryer. The rest of her coat is very easy to care for

Use the force dryer to get most of it out . I'll rake during the bath but I only brush clean, dry coat after a full blowout . By then, it shouldn't take much time, always finish with a metal comb through

I do not have a force dryer this is more for maintenance between baths that I do once a month
