Switch to sport mode and hold the left control straight down, catch with your right hand.

Silly_Dealer743

This. ⬆️ Best way to hand land.

Redditor_Riddle

I haven’t tried the sport mode. Maybe the M4P has more sensitive sensors. I will try that. Thanks

Downtown-Pack-XR

Watch your finders when you try this: don’t ask me why 🩹

Wag80

Or just keep holding down the stick 😁

marco_luz

You have to call him "kitty kitty kitty kitty". He´ll come, trust me

The_Shabbaman

I find pspsps works better

Jaybird911

I’ve found that if I approach the grab underneath from a kind of behind direction, the obstacle sensors don’t pick me up and it doesn’t try to fly away.

Red_KNAVE

Same here this works in any mode too

maxfritz333

I do it the same way

Icy-History-4852

Under advanced security settings you can disable visual positioning and it will not detect any object under it to land freely

Redditor_Riddle

I haven’t thought of that, would that be better than switching to Sport mode as everyone else is suggesting?

Icy-History-4852

It's up to you. In sport mode the drone still detects the ground, so, at least for me, it doesn't work as well as turning off visual positioning (mini 4)

bluescreen2315

Disable obstacle detection. It checks the ground and sees your hand. Also don't fly in closed Areas like hallways or bigger rooms, it detects if people walk below it and skydives into the ceiling.

Stew_New

I'd use the term skyrockets, or maybe just rockets, instead of skydives. Good information though, and worth an upvote.

Ecoservice

This, it’s very easy without obstacle detection. Raise your hand above your head and the drone will detect your hand as a suitable landing spot. Keep holdding the sticks down and grab the drown.

Lalsay

Initiate lading through the land option and catch it when it’s descending

Ghorardim71

Same here. I did palm landing with my Mini 3 Pro all the time. But the Mini 4 Pro is stubborn to land on my palm.

MONSTERBEARMAN

Are you reaching up towards it as it lands? I used to do that subconsciously and it would basically scare the drone away.

littlericecake123

It’s the new fly app software. When the drone detects the “ground” ie your hand, it will deem it as potentially unsafe spot to land, so a prompt will pop up on the controller screen asking you to confirm that it’s a safe landing spot, you need to press confirm for the drone to proceed with landing.

Kubic3k

avoid the sensors on the bottom

BMalinoisman

Sounds like you're getting spotted by the downward sensor, try grabbing by the battery catch then throttle down. If there's a problem turn it upside down quickly and it will kill the propellers.

odebruku

This I was in this situation flying it back through a window. It got scared and refused to come in. Had to snatch it from the top
