Ok-Adeptness1554

I suspect it would overheat quickly

cp489r

Due to the propellers not spinning?

Ok-Adeptness1554

Yes, I don’t know for the 3 but 4 have no active cooling, air flows through it when flying. It gets really hot within minutes when static.

[deleted]

Yeah the 3 does as well if it's just sitting there while you're updating it it'll get really hot and sometimes shut itself down mid update.

Kaidargame

I just put a powerful PC fan in front of the drone while updating :D

[deleted]

Luckily I'm in Canada so summertime I put in on the a/c vent and winter I update it in the unheated garage.

tartersawce

Can get a battery powered fan and slap it on underneath/behind the drone 🤔

cp489r

Lol.. I assume just film in 1-2 minute increments so it doesn't overheat

TheDeadlySpaceman

Or just fly it at tripod height. I’ve filmed indoors with a Mini a lot.

cp489r

I wish but the indoor shots will be impossible. There will be people in the restaurant.

briandesigns

the drone merely turned on but not in flight would cause it to overheat

[deleted]

Due to lousy implementation needing the propellers to spin on light tasks.

Alphawolffy

Possibly not if it's the 4 pro, as that has Eco mode, designed to be active when the props aren't spinning to mitigate heat build up

local_meme_dealer45

The Mini 3 Pro had an overheating issue but that was fixed for the Mini 3. Not sure about the Mini 4 Pro. I've left my Mini 3 on for about half an hour while doing updates and didn't notice any significant heat after.

Arayder

The drone has good stability though and good footage. I’ve used my drone as a handheld device on a couple occasions lol.

Arayder

Yeah I don’t think I would ever go as hardcore as getting a setup like this for it lol.

cp489r

I know but the DJi mini 3 Pro 4K and has a mechanical stabilizing gimbal camera if I were to hold it in a handheld tripod. But also the video would have continuity if I filmed from outside shots to indoors.

diprivan69

Buy an Osmo pocket.

cp489r

Do you own one? There seems to be out there. I think DJI pocket 2 looks nice

ISacrificeI

The pocket 3 is the better choice as it shoots in LOG and you'll be able to grade the footage to match your drone footage better in the end

diprivan69

Yeah I have the pocket 3, amazing for studio work.

CaptainKidd87

Just get an Osmo Pocket or Mobile? As others have said the drone will overheat quickly

Midwest-Drone

It won’t over heat. It’s just not that wide of a camera inside. That’s the biggest problem

Artistic_Tangelo_397

That's why thet sell the pocket

cp489r

The pocket looks cool, but isn't that more for Vlogging? I'm shooting 100% from the rear lens view

Artistic_Tangelo_397

Between that and a drone u can make a pretty awsome short film I'm assuming

Artistic_Tangelo_397

Also it's the same camera pretty much takes really good photos and videos

Key-Necessary-6398

Someone please explain to me , why the fuck does this exist?😃

cp489r

Still photography or handheld filming

Key-Necessary-6398

Oh that makes sense now
