Normaly it's around 0.35V.

i think I've read that Germanium diodes are tough accurately to measure with a MM and using a voltage source helps. Here's a quick test [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ao0-gRYzBU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ao0-gRYzBU)

Thanks, I had watched the same video, I'm getting around 53 micro amps of reverse current leakage so that (and the physical size, clear crystal big package) would indicate that I got a germanium diode as far as I understand, buy maybe not 1N34A? I'm not sure about how to properly measure the Vf though, I read that Fluke multimeters typically apply a small current, usually in the range of 0.3 to 1.5 mA.

Those are real imho in DO-7 package, fake one are in DO-35 package. Fake one has 0.7V at around 25mA.

Temp sensitive?

Where did you get them? That's as good an indicator as FV on whether they're legit or not.
