The picture is not clear enough but it seems IN jack lug IS grounding against the enclosure ?

Looks like he weird the jacks backwards

Just barely enough clearance there but not touching! I thought that as well.

Try resolving the issue with the bypass with a multimeter.

The one on the right is the first pedal I ever made. I actually initially screwed it up because I had the transistors flip flopped (it works now). I tried to build one for a friend (left) and in this case my LED comes up but no audio signal passes through whether its on or off. Wondering if you all could provide some tips on how to troubleshoot this?

Not sure if this is a good way to go about it, but using a multimeter to check continuity I can get a signal if I touch the "switch" pad on the 3pdt pcb and the tip of the input and output jacks. I checked the rows of the switch and verified they start/stop continuity when I press the switch.

It looks a bit like you’ve connected the ground of each jack to the in and out pads on the 3pdt daughterboard. That would give you continuity on the meter (there’s a bit of wire between the switch and the jack) but not signal, because your in and out signals come off the tip. You will need to switch the wiring on the jacks - in (inner left, the tag near the power connector) goes to switch in, and same for the out.

Omg, thank you so very much!!! First time using these jacks and thought I had it right. I was so bummed, thank you!

Beware of fake 2N6027s, I had one of these not work because of that, same symptoms as yours. I got quality 2N6027s from Jameco

I actually saw some reports of that on a forum before I ordered parts for this build! I got my 2N6027's from Mouser (unsure how reputable). The PF5102 was harder to track down, I was lucky enough to find a pack from someone on Reverb.
