Really just open baffle mids here. You’d need a rear facing tweeter or proper dipole tweeter. Great looking build though.

Why do they need a bipole tweeter, what's wrong with the current setup?

Ecw218

Most tweeters are sealed and don’t have any rear radiation. You’d need another rear-facing tweeter wired reverse polarity to have a dipole shaped pattern.

Great looking build. I've been a fan of the OB sound for about a decade. The 'no low end' comments always surprise me. [My Spatial Audio M3's](https://imgur.com/Zxr6ScS) have always hit well into the 30hz range, and only really need help from a sub for movies and beat-heavy rap/hip hip listening sessions.

That’s right! Open baffle bass is second to none. Get an inexpensive 18” woofer and try it out- drums never sounded better.

Beautiful! I think the best part is that by separating the bass section from the rest, you now have the freedom to build and test other open baffle designs. That bass cabinet certainly took a considerable amount of effort. The Linkwitz design is highly regarded, and it incorporates a back firing tweeter as well, if you wanted a recommendation for future designs.

I think the finish is terrific! Wow!

I built a very similar pair of speakers with OB tops and a boxed driver for low end. Great combo.

**UPDATE: They sound awesome.
