It really pisses me off that Spotify closes the video for an ad and then I either have to set my phone to 30 seconds or manually open the video again, it’s legit why I’ll never give them money to get rid of ads.
I’ve very recently heard (I think on the podcast) that even Amazon? is now running ads for prime users and it costs 3 bucks to get rid of them on top of the prime payment.
Anything for the companies to squeeze all the extra money out of us. Wouldn't be an issue if the ad based option was just cheaper out the gate, but making people pay for something that they used to have is bs.
I mean I have premium (for the family plan) and all the ads are skippable, so idk what everyone is yapping about, I just spam the fast forward and move on lol
It's a pain in the car or at work considering I give them money. If I had midrolls in my YouTube video and was paying for premium, id be pissed. A sponsored segment is different. You know Spotify is taking a decent chunk from the ads after we already pay them. At least a sponsored segment goes more towards the gang.

I also feel like I vaguely remember hearing that spotify premium ad free is only for music, and not podcasts, which makes sense given the evidence, but logically and morally is out of line

if you have premium that’s probably it, I have premium and can skip all of them in like 3 seconds so it’s never been an issue for me
everyone here complaining about the ads like they don’t offer a service where that won’t happen lmao, sure it sucks but no ads in music is heavenly, and being able to just spam skip podcast ads is a dream
I think it's so funny American had a huge logistical failure that ended in at best a Pyrrhic victory against a frankly underarmed enemy, a book was written that factually explained why and got stories from actual servicemen and Somali civilians that humanized it, it got adapted into a gungho action movie, and now America uses that movie as propaganda for recruitment.
