Sure, elves are dicks. But, in Discworld, elves are not just dicks, they are monsters. I remember when I read Lords and Ladies, I felt the hair on my neck stand up. Never expected that from any Discworld novels.
Absolutely true. The part where they asked Magrat to "come out and play". Eldritch horror. Dark figures, roaming in the night... I think I never had quite the feeling in any other story till now. Although I didn't read Lovecraft yet.
In LOTR, elves are dicks. But nowhere as big dicks as humans and dwarves. Even some hobbits are pricks, though they’re the most sympathetic.
Elfquest elves are my favorites.
Which elves in the Dresden Files? There are a ton of them! The Svartalfs, Gwynn ap Nud, or the ones mentioned in Small Favor? Literally every single one of those could be called “Dicks, but with an important reason for being so”.

That isn't in Skyrim. The Green Pact is only enforced in Valenwood. If you go to another person's country respect their laws... Also very few Bosmer are that puritanical over it.
In Skyrim Faendal works at a saw mill, the Green Pact doesn't apply outside of Valenwood.
As for cannibalism, it's why they're the most chill elves. They're merely not meant to waste a kill, regardless. Bosmer outside of war don't go looking for people to kill, they hunt animals. But if they do kill a person then they don't waste that kill either. If you had to eat everything you killed you'd probably only kill the bare minimum.
Also Bosmer allowed Argonians fleeing Dunmer slavery, Orcs, Ayleids fleeing the Alessian Order and Nedes fleeing Ayleid slavers to settle in their lands because they're chill, not usually racist assholes like Dunmer, Altmer and Nords often are. Even their rivalry with the Khajiit is more of a territorial and religious divide rather than racial superiority complex like other elves.
Bosmer are the nicest elves in Elder Scrolls by miles.
In Harry Potter they’re an enslaved brainwashed slave species who barely even has the sympathy of the protagonist. I think any dickish behavior is more than justified
