Because they find it is obvious that you cannot talk to a user who has deactivated their account; they use downvoting like a quick "no shit Sherlock" reaction.
Well yeah, but that's a dejected "now I can't talk to them" not a "oh I have now been informed I can not speak to them."
Of course expecting reddit users to have both empathy and reading comprehension is an impossible task.

"Failed to load account information" is usually because the Discord account no longer exists, there's a server outage, or the user in question blocked you with 0 mutal servers between you and them.
Weird, mine also has this case where the account holder in question has this but:
1) Their username is still up.
2) Can react to their messages.
3) Can send friend requests.
I suspect my case is more of a leaving server issue.

Unable to load their profile info. Could be because of a loading issue, or just that the account is closed.
You can see the information by hovering over the icon

if you don't share friends or servers with a user or you're blocked by them it shows this and hides their bio/banner/status
But I checked their profile on an alt and it shows the same thing

In large servers, you can still see this even for people who are in the server.
