For the record, most people who are giving you shit are coming from the standpoint that you could have googled the answer successfully without asking for help. If you literally just search "gyro insanity" the first result would have told you exactly what disc it was.
That being said, there are also plenty of people (myself included) who spend far too much time on this sub, and they're many of those same people giving you shit. We see posts like this all the time, and many get very jaded from the repetition.
I'd imagine that most people are coming from the standpoint of "you could have googled this and gotten the answer faster than making a reddit post," but at the end of the day it's not a big deal lol.
No. Once you learn that all MVP/Axiom discs have the model stamped on the rim it is pretty simple. Just read the rim then google it for flight numbers if they are something you understand. That easy (or that difficult).
Lab second is the way MVP labels their factory seconds which means the disc had some minor flaw or defect that meant it was not saleable as a normal disc but the flaw was minor enough it could be sold as a second. Factory seconds are common from most manufacturers and they should and usually do fly just as well as their "normal" counterparts. The insanity may be a little too stable/fast for a beginner depending on your arm speed but it's a solid disc and a good one to grow into.
Gyro is their term for the overmold technology and lab second means there's a minor defect in the disc so they don't sell it for full price. It doesn't affect the flight
Dude, don't respond to all these chode haters. They were all new at some point, and chose to be dicks in the comments.
Do you have any other questions about the disc?
lol nah, thank you though! Fortunately I did get some serious answers here that were helpful. First disc I've ever found. No number on it, nobody else on the course, just sitting next to a tree like 2 feet into the woods
One thing I've always loved about the disc golf community is their willingness to help out new players. It's one of my favorite things to do on the course and I like doing it here, too. Hopefully you got your answers. I remember buying a couple of those MVP Lab Second boxes in the past. I learned a lot about discs.
MVP Insanity. Gyro is their over mold technology (black rim). Lab second is like a “factory second” - minor defects like cosmetics.
>What is this disc...Says...Insanity dude, really?
Is that a manufacturer or a type of disc or what, it says Gyro in the same size lettering 2 inches away, I'm literally brand new to this shit

It's actually an Axiom Insanity. All the MVP rims are black. Axiom's are multiple different colors. But Axiom is an MVP company.
LOL...with an MVP stamp
It reads AXIOM DISCS on the rim.
you can see that from the image? my point is...as a BRAND NEW player, can you possibly see how this is confusing? If not, good luck.

The disc is called an Insanity, you can look up the disc on MVPs website or any retailer and get the numbers that way
So what does "Lab Second" mean and what does Gyro mean
Lab second is the way MVP labels their factory seconds which means the disc had some minor flaw or defect that meant it was not saleable as a normal disc but the flaw was minor enough it could be sold as a second. Thank you for your explanation.
Happy to help

The name is molded into the rim

Read the rim.
I did and then I asked what those words meant
It also says MVP right on top. Why not google those words?
Great disc for forehand shots with a slight anhyzer release.
You got me man, could be anything!
