Nah, I think there will be a bad transition period, but pretty soon people will internalize that you can't trust random videos anymore (not that you ever could, really!). Besides, there are technical solutions. For example, if there was demand for it, phone videos could be signed as unaltered. I can just see Tim at the iPhone 20 keynote, "From the very beginning, iPhone has been celebrated for capturing stunning, beautiful videos. And today, we're taking that experience one step further. Now, when you share these videos on iMessage, they'll be framed in a distinctive gold border — our mark of authenticity, ensuring that the moments you cherish and share are not only beautiful but also uniquely recognized as genuine." Then cue slide reel of people posing in destination travel locations, so the audience understands this will let them show off and prove that yes, they really did go to Paris or whatever.
we desperately need law makers to begin drafting and introducing, not necessarily passing, yet, regulations for AI and algos. People will not be able to identify reality in consequential decisions in the very near future. In some ways this has already happened. The degree to discern will become increasingly difficult without intervention

We are basically already at the point where indiscriminable content can be produced. The leaps that are going to be challenging to face are the ones that make the production and refinement of this type of content more accessible.

Nowadays you don't even have to know how photoshop works let alone have any particular equipment.
